Zero stars! Ordered sandwiches, we had to call for status 35 minutes later...driver stated she delivered, either she lied or delivered to wrong address, they didn't care. We work from home and sit next to our front door and waited over an hour. 24 hours to get a refund is unacceptable. No offer to compensate. Zero customer service and very unprofessional. I ordered for delivery at 654 pm, waited and waited for about an hour. I tried to call 3 times and no answer. I finally gave up and drove to the store. Went to the drive thru and sat there for a minute and no one said anything. I drove up to the windows which were open. Yelled in to the employee, who had headphones in. He finally heard me and came over. I told him about my order and his response was, "Oh yeah, I ran out of bread and couldn't deliver your order. I only have wraps. " I got no notification of this. I utilized the mobile order feature so that I could pick up my order at the drive thru window. I placed my order 15 minutes prior to when I arrived. I've had no issue with this at any other location. When I arrived at the drive thru to pick up my order, it wasn't ready yet. Moreover, I waited at the drive thru window for an additional 20 minutes because my order had not been started yet. Overall, this should not have taken this long. There were 2 cars behind me by the time that I had finally left. The store was not very busy inside as far as I could see. Onto the food. My order was not accurate. I ordered one sandwich and two unwiches. The sandwich was missing the sauce and one of the toppings completely. The unwiches both had very little sauce. I had indicated when placing my order that I would like napkins included and there were no napkins. I'm unlikely to visit this location in the future. read more

Twice I have pulled up to order drive in and they are out of tuna or out of wheat bread in the middle of the day! There is a grocery store across the street! Go get what you run out of! Three weeks ago I asked for a particular sandwich and got home to find the wrong sandwich! It had stuff in it I couldn't eat! I live 25 miles away so couldn't go back. I think the best sandwiches come from the best ingredients and Jimmy John's never fails. They have, by far the best bread, but the Jimmy Peppers are my new go-to favorite. Always know for their fast service, but I can attest to always have a clean store and friendly staff! read more

I eat a lot of JJ. Yes this is attached to a gas station. However, every time I come through Platte City, I stop here to eat. A sandwich and gas and clean restrooms?? Traveler's dream!! We love the convenience of this store. We've used them many times in our 4 yrs here. However, there seems to be a major mngt issue lately. Not receiving the extra meats on sandwiches as ordered. Sloppy packaging. And this is a big one for me; went thru drive-thru and the guy/kid who was working had long wavy hair past his shoulders. He wasn't wearing any type of hair restraint. Platte City has Subway, Jimmy John's, Planet Sub (inside Price Chopper) and Mr. Goodcent's, however, they are all different in their own way. I prefer to get the wheat bread at JJ's even though it is extra. I also can't do JJ's without the chips, those are probably the best part even though there really isn't anything totally stand out about them. I like this location because there is rarely a line and always like 4 or 5 employees. Very fast service. read more

Stopped at this location for a quick drive thru order. It was very disheartening to see the staff have masks on but not covering their nose or mouth while making our food. Not only were they doing it blatantly they allowed a costumer to hang over the counter without a mask close to the food just talking away. It's ridiculous to see that during covid times people aren't respectful enough to consider other people, especially in the food business. The gentleman at the register wore his the whole time however the rest of the staff that you could see through the clear drive thru window did not abide by regulations. read more

It's hard to beat Jimmy John's. Ever since discovering them 4 years ago you'd have to hit me over the head with a stale loaf of Subway bread to get me to step foot in another sub shop. Bread is freshly baked, the meat and veggies look and taste really fresh, and the very roomy inside of the shop is always clean with the obligatory loud and opinionated signage found at all Jimmy John's. The #12 Beach Club is my go-to sandwich: turkey, provolone, avocado spread, cucumber, lettuce, and tomato. The JJ Gargantuan is great for those with a huge appetite. Get a bag of their addictive potato chips, a huge chocolate chip cookie, and a soda and you've got a delicious meal. Only things to complain about are the other customers can be a bit obnoxious (with a gas station next door, people of all sorts of walks of life probably come through here) and I'd say that the speed in which they make their sandwiches are just a *touch* under freaky fast. But otherwise, great place to get good sandwiches. read more

Don't count on "Freaky Fast" delivery and don't expect any communication that your order is delayed after an hour of waiting. The other 2 times I've ordered and actually gotten the delivery, one driver was rude and the other actually told me where I can right in a tip.... Just waited 20 minutes in the drive through for two sandwiches. We were the only car there. Literally knocked on the drive through window to ask where where our food was after 15 minutes . When we finally got our food, the roast beef sandwich had one slice of meat. One slice. It was basically a lettuce and tomato sandwich. Also, drinks didn't have any ice... not one cube. No apologies either, the guy quite literally tossed the bag out the window without a word... apologies go along way folks. Don't advertise you're freaky fast if you're not. Soooooo good. This jimmy johns location in particular does a lot of things right. They are conveniently located in Platte city near Hwy 92 and I-29. They are part of a gas station but have a separate entrance which keeps it cleaner and quieter than other similar restaurant set ups. The food here is always top quality; most jimmy johns are as well, but I have noticed an occasional subpar sub at certain other locations. Not so at this one! Always a great sandwich from here. The staff here are also super friendly and patient. Philip M and Elizabeth M in particular have been amazing to the customers they come across each day. I've had them at different times help me out and each time they've done a great job. Keep an eye out for lunch specials here! They often have a customer appreciation lunch special of subs for only $2! Signs are posted outside each time they do this. I would recommend this place highly to anyone needing a quick, delicious lunch in the Platte City area! read more

I Drive a tractor trailer and I don't have many options of places that I can eat or places that will deliver food to me. So I gave Jimmy Johns a shot, that I was out of their delivery area. I had to go to Qt anyway so I stop by Jimmy Johns, I had the number 10 on wheat and it had to be the best sandwich that I've had in a long time. The place wasn't crowded it was also very clean. The food is always tasty and fresh!! The quality is much better than a subway...however they do not have much choice on what they put on your sandwich. I was disappointed and confused when I asked for lettuce for my sandwich and was told that I could not get lettuce on this sandwich as it does not come on the sandwich as a standard item.....I could not even pay extra for lettuce!!! read more

These employees are unprofessional. I placed my order and paid at the window. Then a few minutes later and employee told me it would take a while to make my sandwiches (Frenchies, which basically requires cutting a baguette, not toasted, with a few slices of cheese and a ham). So for 10 minutes I heard and saw 3 or 4 employees standing around doing nothing but talk about parties they had gone to. No one else was in line or in the druve thru behind me. But none of them had time to cut these baguettes. Finallt the first employee brought the sandwiches, which appeared to be pre-made anyway. Again, very unprofessional and I hope the manager will find out soon how little work his/her employees are doing at this location!!! Unfortunately, while we've offered our patronage many times, this location is now consistently "understaffed", takes 30 or more minutes to deliver, and cannot seem to get an order correct. Quality is also inconsistent; lettuce is generally yellow or wilted - today, it was frozen, with ice crystals and completely transparent, which does not an appetizing Unwich make. If you happen to add things, such as a spread or mayo, or ask things to be left off, it is not done. Items arrived smashed sometimes. Hoping quality control improves. read more
