This store is almost comical just HOW BAD their service is. We work around the corner in the industrial center and love JJ. We try to order it weekly for the team and there has yet to be a time where something wasn't messed up. Seems to be a trend on here. Hmmm Well, this last time was the absolute last straw. I ordered a Kickin CHICKEN Ranch wrap with peppers along with several other sandwiches on the app. We picked it up and took it into work to discover this monstrosity. It's literally lettuce, ranch and peppers. No chicken in my kickin chicken?! How does one miss the main ingredient at a sandwich place? Needless to say this hot wet disgusting mess went straight to the trash. After everyone else enjoyed their meal, I decided this was enough. I was going to make my stand and say something this time! I was told no refund could happen unless I brought the sandwich in. I carefully explained to him the sticky, wet, gross mess that was this situation, but he did not relent. Sorry no refund with out the sandwich. I decided to show him a time stamped photo to see if that would help. He finally agreed that this situation needed to be rectified and asked for my receipt. I gladly showed him my in app purchase, which included my name, order #, money spent, items ordered, date ordered, thinking that this was going to be a positive outcome on a rather dismal and frustrating situation. Boy was I wrong. Apparently this online order with numerous pieces of information wasn't good enough for a refund. I was told if I didn't bring in the paper receipt that's stapled to the bag, then I wasn't eligible for a refund. A paper receipt that was sitting in my trash bin at work being moistened by the grossest, soggiest excuse for a sandwich I've ever seen. We were at an impasse. This individual, clearly didn't care about helping me. I, was very over these shenanigans. So all I could do was leave hungry and never to return again. To anyone trying to eat here. Double, triple check your orders. Don't leave until you do. You will need to fix it. And for god sakes. Don't throw away your trash bag. It contains the most vital information on it. Don't usually leave reviews but this one seemed necessary. Service was poor, not greeted or said goodbye to on our way out, although staff was there and did see us. Not that big of a deal. Bigger issues was the food. My sandwich (turkey, provolone, lettuce, mayo, oil) was suuper oily like soaked and dripping the whole time. Not being ones to complain and not believing we'd get anything out of doing so, such as a refund or better sandwich, etc. (the workers in the store were young, nonchalant and don't think they would have cared) we ate our food. Once sandwiches were mostly eaten it was noticed that a small hairball was actually baked into the bottom of my bread. And the end of the bread on my fiancés sandwhich had dark spots, seemingly beginning stages of mold, which was not eaten after that point. Not worth it for the price ($33 for two sandwiches, one drink and one bag of chips). Btw they do have a "B" rating on the window so these complaints kinda make sense. This location is close to my job so I've tried to come multiple times while on my lunch break at 8pm. The hours aren't posted on the door anywhere but according to Yelp they close at 9pm yet the doors are always locked, the sign is off, and the chairs are on top of the tables. The sandwich had the proper balance of lettuce cheese and cold cuts to make it flavorful. It wasn't too salty and that's important. Salt can totally ruin a good sandwich. The guys working there tonight we're totally cool and walked is through the two sides of the menu. The Vito was pretty amazing. The bread was good and fresh. We didn't have the meat sliding out of the back of sandwich and the lettuce was shredded properly so there were no struggles when eating. There were three workers behind the counter that seemed as if they were getting ready to call it a day. My order was a Pepe, an 8" sandwich which was about $7. From order to pick up, it took a little more than 5 minutes. Decorations around the restaurant kept me amused for the most part, especially the list of Things I've Learned After 50 Years. The restaurant tout their sandwiches as something mothers would approve of. Well, I'm not the motherly type but I can say that their sandwiches weren't bad. The french bread was chewier than what I'm used to. This simple ham and cheese sandwich still tasted great like any made-to-order sandwich shop.
