Service is phenomenal. Fast, quick, friendly service, ordered 4 sandwiches and was out in 5 minutes.

When mom gets a cold this is where she used to ask me to go with a twenty dollar bill. Sometimes she would give me a credit card. I am not a cook and you don't have to be I learned coming here for meatloaf is great and in the summer time shish ka bobs marinated in luscious sauces such as teriyaki and or buttery garlic herbs. The customer service is the best with fresh faced staff members ready to answer your questions and treat you with first hand care like you're the only one in the store. Fresh coffee ready and hot soup after you make your circle past the cranberry and walnut bread and more freezers stocked with satiating meats to pick from such as BBQ pulled pork and or various seafood items. My choice is the tuna steaks and scallops. And the deli is available for slicing your favorite cold cuts for a sandwich or buying a fresh salad in there case such as the popular spicy pasta salad or some marshmellow fluff dessert of some kind such as my sweet tooth kick in with the pistacho pudding and orange fluff. There is Welches festivities at the local fair grounds seasonal and grilled to bring out the steak sandwiches as the Saturday mornings bring to a sunny warm weekend in St. John, IN. The smoker in the back is smoking throughout the week dog bones and more. Enjoy the ambiance throughout the middle of the week with happy hour on Wednesdays. Welches location is in a soft and quaint corner near 93rd and off of a quiet turn light on traffic and stop lights. Just a great little spot to get in and out of in a hurry or convenience with friendly customer service all day. Top off your purchase with a slice of cherry pie and chocolate covers berries for dad or the kiddos. For me I end my stop and shop experience with the sweet heat beef jerky right at the register. The bogonias were a lovely Mothers Day plant that I bought there this year.

It's unfortunate that I receive the exact opposite on my second visit. I was waiting to be helped and they took two white men, and an elder white lady before me, even though I was acknowledged. I can understand if they're older and they wanna be helpful first, but there is no communication on this.... And then I saw the sign. I should've taken a photo cause it was a little startling, and unfortunate that they expressed so openly their political position and hate for Wokeness. I've heard some stories how they are true MAGA and slightly racist, but you have to experience it for yourself. You have to give a place a chance. And it saddens me the way I was treated on my second time back. Folks everywhere are just so sad and upset these days, every life has been disrupted in someway the last 10 years for multiple reasons. It's stressful out here, but it's also stressful trying to get good quality food with all the regulation changes. I travel out of the country multiple times a year and American food is just the worst. So I'll keep searching for quality in both the product and in the customer service. In some small way, it's good to know a store position because I don't wanna give them my business. It's so weird to fight against progress. And it's even weirder to think Wokeness is a thing. Stay asleep.

It was like an old school grocery stop with a deli shop that was busy when I walked in. Had me curious enough to come back and try a lunch sandwich from here. This meat market has the soup bones for my dogs for a decent price also. I never wrote a review with the intent of a follow up review as I have to come back, grab a sandwich and buy some ready made family style dinner trays that looked like it would make my cooking nights way easier! The lady Çathy up front was extremely knowledgeable of the place. I will be back very soon to provide an update on the family dishes and sandwiches! Can't wait!

Just as I've done with other businesses, I referenced Visa's own guidance and asked for the fee to be removed, since I know as a Visa processor this can be corrected directly on Clover systems. She was dismissive and short with me the whole time. I asked to speak with a manager, she said none was on duty. I asked for a card for the owner instead, she said I couldn't speak with the owner either. I offered to leave my phone number so the owner could reach out, to provide the mentioned violations like this can carry real consequences, including card network fines. She refused to write my number down and gave me a clear attitude while doing it. As a business owner myself, I'd want to know immediately if a compliance issue like this was happening at my business and I'd want to know how a customer-facing employee was treating people over it. A public review was the only way left to reach the owner. Once the debit card surcharge is removed, I will update this review. What customers should know: First, debit card surcharging is illegal in Indiana and every other state -- federal law under the Durbin Amendment (Dodd-Frank) prohibits surcharges on debit card transactions regardless of how the transaction is processed, even when a debit card is run as signature/credit. This isn't a gray area; it's a federal rule that overrides any state law. Second, even setting the debit issue aside, a flat 4% surcharge on credit cards is also questionable, federal rules cap surcharges at 4%, but Visa's own network rules limit surcharges to 3%, and a merchant accepting multiple card brands has to apply the surcharge uniformly, which effectively caps it at 3% for any business that takes Visa. If you've been charged a surcharge on a debit card purchase, here's how to report it: * Visa: Submit a complaint through Visa's Merchant Surcharge Complaint Form. * Mastercard: Report the merchant through Mastercard's merchant violation reporting form. * Discover: Call their merchant services line to report a compliance violation. * State Attorney General: File a consumer complaint with your state's Attorney General's office. * CFPB: Submit a report to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The rules 1 The merchant must be registered with the card brands2 The merchant must inform their customers of the credit card fee with appropriate signage at the store entrance (if applicable) and at the point of sale.3 The amount of the credit card fee must not exceed 3%, and the merchant must not profit from the credit card fee.4 The credit card fee and the price of the product or service must be processed together as one transaction.5 The receipt must show the amount of the credit card fee as a separate line item.6 The merchant must not apply a fee to debit cards.
