The Bagels & Co which just opened its Gaines Street location at Stadium Centre this past year. It is indeed a Philadelphia-born chain that has been expanding rapidly into Florida college towns. Even though it's a chain, they have that "brick and mortar" quality because they bake their Brooklyn-style bagels on-site daily. Why that Asiago was so good: * The Texture: They are known for that "light and airy" inside with a slight chew, which is hard to find in a lot of mass-produced bagels. * The "Schmear" Selection: They are famous for having over 25 varieties of cream cheese. While you went with the classic (and delicious) Scallion, they also do wild stuff like Cookie Monster, Black Truffle, and Birthday Cake. * The Experience: They actually let you "taste test" the cream cheeses like you're at an ice cream parlor, which is such a nice touch for a morning spot.

Popped in for lunch and really enjoyed our bagels. The breakfast sandwich was DELICIOUS! I was a little bummed they were out of egg everything but they did have a good variety of bagels - nice BIG bagels! I ordered a half dozen extra to take home since we were just passing through and I wanted to try some more. They were great and stayed fresh for a good 2 days after take home. Prices are a little pricy but kinda worth it. They have kiosks where you can order or walk up to order. We walked up and were not greeted so after a couple minutes we went to the kiosk. Otherwise, service was good and bagels were delicious! Would definitely go back!

Excellent bagels, kind service, and a nice ambiance. I've loved every bagel I've had here. I've had the pumpernickel bagel, the whole wheat everything, everything, egg, and protein power ones and I've had the scallion cream cheese, the sriracha scallion, and the veggie tofu cream cheese.

Phenomenal bagels! Very fresh, tasty and decent selection of flavors. Staff is very quick and attentive. Perfectly situated across from the Indigo.

Don't waste your time. Bagels are great but it's not worth the HOUR wait...and they ask for a tip. F that!

Great flavor, huge bagels, a bit bread like, but overall really good. The cream cheese was great too. Will order again.

Power Plant is cute little cafe underneath the Edison, located at Cascades park. It's a place I…read morefrequent on my days off, and last week was my first time dining there since their recent menu flip. That morning I ordered one of my favorites, the lox bagel. I didn't realize that with the new menu changes, ordering a lox bagel meant all assembly required-- by the customer. I received a plastic to-go box with a toasted bagel, a ramekin of cream cheese, a ramekin mixture of capers and onions, and smoked salmon wrapped in a deli sheet. I was puzzled and asked for clarification from a sales associate, as the order was not to-go. I want to stress the fact that there was no negligence whatsoever on the part of the employee-- she's great and always makes my day when I see she's working. However, I find it to be quite a bizarre policy to require a guest to construct their own sandwich. Part of the reason people dine out is to be cared for and have a stress-free morning. It was also a waste of plastic cutlery, as I used a single knife to spread cream cheese and tossed the unneeded fork and spoon. Now while I am proud of my sandwich build and the flavor was good, I was left with fingers that smelled like salmon despite washing my hands multiple times. Not exactly what I was hoping for at 10 am on my day off from working in a restaurant. I understand the fine details of menu flips can be a bit clumsy at first, but I hope management receives this feedback and reconsiders this self-assembly method. I love this place and the atmosphere and staff. The lox bagel experience just didn't hit the mark for me.
