Jimmy John's bread just hits different, ya know? Something about the flavor is just so good... I don't know what it is about it, or what specifically the flavor is but it's so yummy. Not to mention the texture of the bread is perfect too since it's firm but not too tough to bite into either. I like to get the beach sub because I love that it has avocado on it, plus the meat on that one is turkey, which I prefer to other lunch/ sandwich meats. The avocado on there is more the consistency of guacamole, but just minus the extra veggies that come in guac (like tomatoes, onions, etc). I think it works well to have the avocado more mashed in the sandwich so it doesn't slide around as much. Nice thinking! I don't come to Jimmy John's often, but I always feel like everything from the turkey to to the cucumber and everything else actually tastes nice and fresh. Their brand of chips isn't my favorite, but I'm glad that they have my favorite flavor (jalapeno) as an option if you get a combo. I think they also have salt and vinegar chips which is usually my second choice, as well as bbq, but other than that I think those are the only chip choices. Workers at this location were very friendly and all wearing masks. They had a good energy and were very quick in making the sandwiches... I think I was eating mine within about 2 minutes or less from when I ordered (to be fair, there wasn't really anyone else there, but still)! Certain tables were marked off not to be used because of social distancing. I think this is so critical for seat yourself places like this, so well done. All around a good stop for a sandwich. PS: just as I was finishing writing this review, I took another sip of my lemonade and saw "freaky fresh, freaky fast" on the cup. Just had to say I can definitely agree to that, at least for this location, as I already happened to mention both of these things in my review above. Fun little coincidence!

Not acceptable to serve to a paying customer. Turkey had gross brownish purple spots and lettuce was reddish brown.

I'm not super into sandwiches, but jimmy johns bread is pretty great! They are fast, the ingredients seem of good quality, and it was tasty.

What I forgot is that on weekends they roll out exclusive items like spring rolls, egg rolls, and puff pastries. They even had a special: buy 4, get 1 free. (Not pictured are the egg roll and puff pastry.) The puff pastry comes in either pork or chicken, I went with pork. It had quite a bit of onion, but the flavor was still really savory. The spring rolls were tasty too, though a little on the smaller side. The star of the visit, though, was the Saigon coffee. It's Vietnamese-style coffee made with espresso and sugar, and wow! It was STRONG. Highly recommend if you're a coffee lover. Service was great. The cashier was super sweet. Plus, when I came right at opening (11am on Saturday), it wasn't busy at all, which was a nice bonus.

The staff is friendly and so knowledgeable about the menu. They helped guide me on my choices and I was so pleased. I went for the famous tiger drink, choosing the matcha and while it initially tasted super sweet, after a few shakes, the drink evened out and it was perfect. I also ordered 3 homemade spring rolls ($2.50 each) and really enjoyed how fresh they were. The peanut sauce isn't creamy like I'm used to, but with the chili sauce on top, I was satisfied. Bread is made fresh each day, and, even each hour as I waited 15 minutes for a baguette (worth it!) Thrilled to have this location close and want to try one of every drink on the menu. If they add avocado smoothies to the mix, I may just go every day. Enjoy!

I was deciding between MisFits & another location so I texted a friend to make the final decision. Long story short, she chose MisFits & we met around 1pm. From what I've been recommended, my/our experience was pretty aligned with what I had heard. Random summer Thursday. Perfect for a good lunch. I was familiar with where MisFits was but never walked inside. Considering that other downtown locations either are on a one-way street, are in busier areas or have less parking availability, the location is relatively convenient. I parked right in front of the restaurant & entered an enamoring space. The entrance leads into a hallway with the host toward the end. Once past the "host hall," the interior is 80% modern, 20% retro. Filled with booths, clear lanes and a good mix of seating options. The lighting is perfectly balanced with large windows for natural light to be let in with other fixtures filling the gaps. We sat in the large "L" shaped booth & our server was with us almost immediately (there were only 2 other tables sat at the time). Of all the menus I've observed, MisFits may have the most efficient offerings ever. There's not tons of variety but it didn't feel limited either. Classic American Favorites, Only. While our server was wrapping up with the other 2 tables, I reluctantly decided on the 1/2 Sandwich (The Wifey) 1/2 Soup (Rotisserie Chicken Tortilla Soup) with Sweet Potato Fries while my friend ordered the B.B. Burger & normal fries. The food came out relatively quickly, less than 10mins after placing the order. The chicken sandwich was good but I was more surprised at how hearty & flavorful the soup was! It made me want to order a full order of nachos. My friend stated that her burger was good except the bacon was thicker & chewier than she would have liked (but she's picky). We conversed for another 20-30mins afterwards but I think we were both satisfied with our meals. Overall, I believe that MisFits has almost the perfect name: it's located downtown but still seems to be one of the more underrated restaurants in the district. If you want above-average American food & don't want to pay above average prices, this is the place to go. I'd be happy to revisit in the evening to see the full luminary experience.

The food quality was excellent, and the staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. One of the most unique parts of the visit was learning that the person seated at the table next to us was the previous owner. She is still a regular customer, and her photo is proudly displayed on the wall in the restaurant. That says a lot about the history, loyalty, and character of this place. I also accidentally left my credit card behind and did not realize it until about an hour and a half later. I called the restaurant, and the management immediately helped resolve the issue. They kindly arranged to mail it to my home in Los Angeles, and I have now received it safely. That level of honesty and customer care is rare. A special thank you to the management for handling everything so professionally, and to Heather for her kindness, attentiveness, and outstanding service. Highly recommend this spot for great breakfast, quality food, welcoming atmosphere, and a team that truly cares about its customers.

I ordered the Hunter, which comes with Rabbi's Pastrami, Russian Dressing, Swiss Cheese, and Sauerkraut. Typically this comes on Rye bread, but they'd run out by the time I got there. The Housemade Club was a fine replacement though! This sandwich was so good. The sauerkraut was a 10/10 and the house cured pastrami was extremely flavorful and filling. The sandwich options come in both 6oz and 12oz. I personally think the 6oz was more than enough! Each order comes with a pickle and chips. I ate half of my sandwich right away (amazing) and then half a little later. The pastrami and saurkraut are so juicy that it did make an impact on the bottom piece of bread, BUT I still ate every bite and would still highly recommend. Just keep in mind that it is best when eating soon after you've gotten your food! Either way, you'll need some napkins close at hand.

For us it took a bit to get use to even in the smallish area. It's arranged in a sort of circle -- staff and food in the middle and you walk around it, getting drinks, napkins, silverware, etc. The staff seemed nice enough, opposing other reviews. They gave us menus that we took to a table to look over. It was quite small. I didn't see pastry offerings, but it was our first visit. I want to see signs -- What it is & how much$. I hate it when grocery stores can't get their signage in line with their pricing. Honestly, I don't recall which sandwiches we ordered but we both had their house cured meat. She liked it, I didn't care for it. To me it was like Sunday beef roast on a sandwich. The little shopping area is really cute. We didn't have time that day to poke around. I hope this helps you navigate your visit. It's always a good idea to know what you're getting into. We'll go back, with better knowledge.
