Jimmy's Egg is somewhere in between and while it has done well over the years, I notice that more and more locations are closing, so when I had to be in N. OKC for an appointment I took the opportunity to find one. Service was great, the dining room was busy for a weekday morning and I was able to seat myself at the bar. Usually I love Jimmy's Egg but for some reason this visit something seemed to be off. I guess it could have started with the obnoxious person having a conversation on speakerphone seated at the table next to us. It could have lasted a lot longer but at least they were checking out. I'm thinking it is just rude to carry on a conversation while using a speaker phone and trying to eat your meal. My thoughts are to wait and finish the call when you're not in the middle of a meal or simply leave the table to finish your call. On top of that the restaurant was very busy so the noise level was increased. We arrived at 9:30AM and didn't really expect the place to be so full. We sat ourselves at a two seat table and our waitress arrived quickly to take our drinks. They have a new menu so I had to look at all the options available to me. I opted to try a Skillet since I've never had before and my wife chose the Baja Omelette. To be perfectly honest we didn't like either one. The Farmers Skillet was bland and had an over use of onions & green peppers. The eggs seemed over cooked with just a smattering of cheese. I ate what I could but probably left half of it on my plate. The Baja Omelette is something my wife has had previously and she's enjoyed it. She's figured out if you add cream cheese in the middle you have an omelette that is over the top delicious. Unfortunately on this visit that didn't happen. Usually the cream cheese is melted inside before arriving to the table. What she ended up with was a cold chunk of cream cheese in the middle. Even the other cheese didn't melt. She asked me to try the hash browns and at first bite I thought they were pretty good but the after taste was not so pleasant. Not sure what went wrong on those. The upside to the whole meal; they delivered on their homemade toast. Not all was lost on this visit. I am just chalking this up to a bad cook because I've been dining at Jimmy's for many years and have always had great meals. I'm not sure of the typical protocol for cellphones in a restaurant but speakerphones is a definitely no no! I'm not sure how the wait staff and/or manager can politely tell the customer to get off her speakerphone other than being blunt about it. read more

If you live under a rock, you have to know, this Jimmy's Egg location is bangin'! I've been going to this location for more than a decade. This place is outstanding in all areas. The wait staff is perfect, you never send anything back. The accuracy is amazing. The cooks are on a different level. I have never had a bad dish at this location. I have had perfect service for over a decade, they are all absolutely amazing. Do you yourself a favor and go have the best breakfast you've had in a long time! The dining area is always clean. The bathrooms are always clean. If anything, it's a little loud but that's because they're probably talking about how awesome this Jimmys Egg is! Love these people. read more

The quality of the food the portion and the service was wonderful. The restaurant was very busy but also well organized and looked nice. Our server was very polite and as attentive as she could be while also serving a large table of about 10 or 11 teenage boys. My husband got the Patty Melt and fries and my mom got the Berry Berry Belgian Waffle. They both enjoyed their food and cleaned their plates. I wasn't hungry so I only ordered coffee. It was very good coffee. I'm a very health conscious eater. If I ever come back I will try the Chicken Broccoli & Egg White Omelette. My husband and I live in Vegas where there are no Jimmy's Egg locations. However we do come to OK to visit my mom quite often so would definitely eat here in the future. read more

This has long been a favorite of mine until they sold out to a corporation! My main complaint are the biscuits. They stopped making fresh ones and replaced them with pre-made half the size biscuits but didn't compensate the plates for the loss. There are usually two biscuits halved with gravy, meats, and cheese. There are still only two biscuits even though their half the size and they no longer separate them because they know how bad the plate looks vs how it used to. Jimmie egg is now a last resort and I'm sorry I came back this time. The company has ruined it for me. read more

I'm a retired OK teacher. I've Taught College, career tech & high school . I just returned from Fl & met a friend (retired nurse) that had returned from Italy. We met Friday 3/21 at 11 on May to catch up. She had an appt so it was a quick catch up. She ordered a drink & egg w toast. I ordered oatmeal as I had already had eggs. We handed finished plate to server so she could get them out of way. We continued to visit w our drinks. We had been there 30 min when the waitress told us we needed to leave. I told her we had just met at 11...(there were still tables.) She said there was a line & since we gave her cash (& a 20% tip) offered to put our drinks in cups to go. I told her no. We hadn't finished our visit. I suggested she seat them elsewhere as there were still a few tables. She said she needed our booth. I'm 75. College educated. Well traveled-international & domestic. I have never been 'thrown out' of anywhere....(not even a bar.) This is pathetic. I told Veronica what happened as I go there often w family & many friends. Of course she could only apologize for the other server. I know Veronica, her mom, and Joe would never have been so rude. First time eating here. And wanted somewhere close nearby where I was heading to, since I'm from out of town. It was busy but wait time for table didn't take long. Hostess sat me and my party quickly. I was a bit confused on where they were pointing at since the table they showed me was still occupied with the last party receipt. Server was a nice chill man. Food came out quickly. I ordered chicken and waffle. The chicken tasted as if it was cooked with fish Or in fish oil or something. Waffle was crispy. My favorite is the create you own omelette and you can choose from so many different veggies, meats, and cheeses! You can also choose from eggs, eggs substitute(I think it tastes just as good as real eggs), and egg whites. It comes perfect with your choice of two sides! I always get the hasbrowns and their which is thick slices!! They have a variety of flavor creamers and sweetners! They have home made bread also! The environment is so comfortable. I will always recommend Jimmy's Egg to anyone looking for quality, consistently good breakfast in OK. We have some fantastic breakfast/brunch places and we have some that are overrated. Jimmy's is very underrated in my opinion. It's the closest thing we have to an actual diner, and most locations use fresh ingredients. Though I'm sure some of them cut costs and use frozen things. So I debated if I should do this or not and I decided I would do it so it doesn't happen to anyone else. I worked at an Edmond ok location. Same place for 5 years. I liked my job and was very good at it. I've seen with my own eyes several times one of my coworkers being so very rude to customers. Saying disrespectful things and just he a flat out ass but that person is still there l. We were short handed sometimes, over staffed sometimes, and it could be very stressful on the weekends. I worked 6 days a week half the time. One of the cooks and I didn't really get along ( he is the worse cook I have ever worked with anywhere ) and he is the boss back there so he teaches everyone to be bad at their jobs. I was / am a very hard worker that always kept up. So I had to go to a hospital last week and it was an emergency and I did have a doctors note. But the boss said I was fired for no call no show. She refuses to text me back now. Now she had to have been looking for a reason to fire me and I believe that same cook said something to her. Told her to fire me or something. I can't understand why she would listen to someone who is horrible at their job but he has been there for like 20 years so maybe that's why!!! Fired even though I had a doctors note, I worked my butt off for them .. I never ever reviewed my vacation pay even though I asked several times. Everyone else get a check once a year. I never did I got called in on my off days and always went in. Now my paycheck was usually .25 cants for 2 weeks. So I lived off tips. All the customers liked me very as well so I did make a living. And for her to not even text me back at all. The crazy thing is they have no call no shows all the time at different stores. They might fire them after the 100th time but always hire in l them back right away !! I was not the no call no show all the time !! I have seen so much at that store and put up with so much. I've cried in the middle of a shift once because it was so stressful. We would tell the boss things that were wrong and they never cared to change it Fridges break and they stay there We need stuff and to bad. I don't ever leave reviews but what she did to me is completely wrong. I have bills to pay just like she does. I have waited on the owners and it is known I'm a strong server. But that doesn't matter up there If you stand up for yourself. I cleaned every single day and I honestly know I went above and beyond what others there did. I was completely shocked and I know I didn't deserve to be fired.. I did want to fight it but after this happening I don't want to work for them again. In 5 years I met the owners only a handful of times and the boss only comes every two weeks to drop off checks.. I did love my job love my coworkers and love what I did. But after the way I was treated and she won't even message me back I am disgusted. If anyone has eaten there then you know me (KRYSTAL). And I can't even get respect at all. I was fired in a text for something I should never have been fired for. I will never eat there again. I will tell everyone I know to not go there. I brought them business and kept customers happy and was completely disregarded. We were over staffed at the moment but that will change because it always does.. ilI didn't even get offered any type or severance of any kind. Now I believe the owners are nice and I think they are unaware of exactly what happened. But the boss like last ( general manager ) did this. I have went out of my way for that job and got spit on by a higher up. They don't care because there bills are paid. Sorry this was so long I just have so much to say. Do not work here Pam is great but hoa needs to retire. You would think little old ladies would pass out candy and crochet. She fired one of their best workers through text and won't reply now. FOOD: Had the Jimmie's Traditional Breakfast--eggs sunny side up, 2 pieces of , tomatoes and hash browns that were double cooked well done. Eggs and bacon cooked perfectly but the hash browns were not well done & a bit soggy. ATMOSPHERE: Perfect diner cafe, in and out easy.
