My first visit to this place was a Sunday morning at 8 AM. Easter Day. It wasn't busy when I arrived, but quickly started to get more busy over the next 30 min. I seated my self, according to the sign, and was quickly met by my waitress asking for a drink order. I ordered the Jimmy's Traditional breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage patty, hash browns and biscuits & gravy. The were certainly staffed for the coming rush and my food literally arrived within 5 minutes of ordering. Had an OK breakfast here today. Nothing overwellmingly spectacular though. The set up of the dining room at this particular location isn't very big and can easily get crowded which is what we experienced. You're sitting practically elbow to elbow and the service wasn't very good. We were lieu much left to fend for ourselves (only one menu and not enough silverware) All that aside, the food was better than the service or this would've been a 1 star review. I ordered the Popeye's Revenge omelet, and it comes with a side and a bread for $7.49. I got hash browns and biscuit and gravy. The omelet was really good, T had cheese, mushrooms, bacon and spinach. Handheld were cooked well but can't expect much from them. The gravy for the biscuits wasn't very flavorful and was lighter than most places. I'd prefer it a little thicker and taste like it was prepared with some flavor added. Overall, there's nothing setting this apart from places like IHOP or Denny's. Food all tastes the same and am actually a little surprised by all the higher reviews. read more

I'm a regular at this location, it being just a few blocks from my home. Unless you happen to hit it at peak hours (Saturday mornings are popular at this location), you can usually seat yourself. Breakfast is my favourite meal, and a trip to Jimmy's Egg never disappoints. There are a number of "prefab" omelets on the menu or you can build your own. Omelets are made with three eggs, and the fillings are generous. Sides are all good and plentiful. Their homemade toast is second to none. I also enjoy their breaded pork chops on occasion. Lightly breaded with a simple seasoned cracker crumb crust, they are done to a turn and served with 2 eggs to order and generous portions of their usual sides. Their Big Jim omelet is available with 5 eggs and 10 filling choices for those who come with a BIG appetite. Breakfast is always served, but they also have lunch items as well. Their hamburgers are decent sized, well-cooked but still juicy, and come with a generous portion of good french fries. I've also had a very good Patty Melt as well. Their prices are reasonable, their portions are generous, the coffee is good, and the wait staff is always cheerful and prompt. I always bring my out-of-town guests here. read more

I've been going to Jimmys Egg as long as I can remember. The food is always consistent and hasn't changed much over the years. Like any breakfast place the weekends can get busy. We wen today (Friday) and walked right in. There was a few open tables to choose from. The service was good and prompt. The coffee was fresh and hot. We ordered an omelet, chocolate chip pancakes, and the house special the garbage breakfast. The omelet was good but could've used some kind of sauce, a little dry. My daughter devoured the chocolate chip pancakes- not just on top but in the pancakes . The garbage breakfast is a must if you have never been to Jimmys Egg. It starts with their incredible biscuits. On top of that they put gravy, diced ham, sausage crumbles and mounds of cheddar cheese. The flavor combination is incredible. If your arteries aren't completely clogged yet, finish off the slab of hash browns. The only complaint I have is the price. I understand some things change but spending $3 for coffee is a little steep to me. Stick with water and you are better off. read more

Wow...went to this place for breakfast the morning of super bowl Sunday. There were two seats open at the bar so we sat there. Some old man (who I'm still not entirely sure what his job was) was standing behind the bar enamored with the television instead of actually working. He didn't greet us as we walked in, smile or even acknowledge our presence. Fail. The TV was broadcasting a cooking show and I politely requested if they could change the channel to something 'Superbowl related' after polling the other patrons to my right and left. None objected and some seemed to like the idea. The old man, who seemed to be irritated by my presence, responded: 'It doesn't start till 530?!' (Incensed) 'Yeah...they start the coverage at 9:00' I responded not quite understanding the animosity. 'He likes it on the cooking channel' said the old man now as he pointed to an Asian man that was a running food standing under the TV. 'Ok?... so are you going to turn it?' At this point, I'm just confused. The other people sitting at the bar have already said they wanted to change it as well, I'm requesting to watch Super Bowl coverage on Super Bowl Sunday, and oh!!!!!! I'M THE F@*!^# CUSTOMER?!!!!! I'm paying you money! For some reason this guy can't seem to understand that and he's in the service industry! He grabs the channel changer, very put out at this point and turns it to ESPN. This is where it gets funny... A waitress walks up, and apropos of nothing except for the television being on the Super Bowl coverage says: 'Oh yay, The Super Bowl, you know I actually heard of some technology company who is giving their employees the next day off and they are trying to turn it into a national holiday" "Yeah I was in the army, and they usually give us the next day off because they don't want people coming in on duty hung over and drunk, besides that it's a secular holiday and everyone 'celebrates' it" The old man, now looking more Haggard than ever, feels compelled to give his unsolicited opinion regarding the most watched televised event in the world. 'Who cares?!' He exclaims as he is contributing something meaningful to a conversation he is not a part of. So that was my experience, as far as the food goes...It's breakfast...you really can't screw up cooking an egg and shoveling hash. What separates places are the service, and this gentleman whose name I heard to be Mark doesn't seem to possess a modicum of understanding regarding this. Here's my advice to Jimmy's Egg, give Mark an apron, and have him trade jobs with the bus boy who doesn't speak English because I would rather converse with someone who doesn't understand me as opposed to someone who refuses to even try. read more

I have lived in edmond 32 years. I see their lot full. I hear people tell me how good it is. Ive been 3 times. Once was trying it and hating it. 2nd was giving them a 2nd try and it was gross as 1st. 3rd was sheer stupidity. One visit it wasnt even busy and our food took around 35 minutes. The eggs weren't even room temp. It was SO NASTY. It was dirty and at the time they allowed smoking-gross. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND what ppl see in this place. IHOP a million times better. I usually visit the Edmond location because of how close it is to my house but when I am on this side of town this is my go to location. The customer service is awesome and the food is great as usual. There is a slight over crowding problem but if you get there early you should have no problem getting seated. read more

One of the best Jimmys Eggs in town. The staff is always friendly and knowledgable about the menu. They also keep the coffee fresh and full. From the kitchen, the pancakes are light and fluffy and the huevos rancheros is always good! This location also has homemade salsa sometimes, which you have to ask your server about. Another great item is the new Santa Cruz breakfast sandwich. It is scrambled eggs, smoked turkey slices, avocado, and swiss cheese on a toasted ciabata roll. They also have all of the classic breakfast items you would expect and there is usually a daily special or two. Check them out for breakfast and/or lunch. read more

I've been wanting to come here for the longggggest time and today was the day. I will definitely say this beats Dennys, Norms, and IHOP. So upon arriving the parking area can be a little congested but this place was full from the time I arrived to the time I left. That's how good it is. Luckily I came by myself so was able to sit by the counter area or else I'd probably have to wait a while but even then they were getting people seated as fast as they could. The menu had sooo many options I wish I had taken a picture but I didn't. I decided on a build your own omelette and it was delicious (to the cooks who made it I wish I had that person at home everyday ). My omelette had chorizo,onions, mushrooms, Swiss cheese, spinach and more. It also came with sides of your own choice and I picked hash browns and mini chocolate chip pancakes which I ate last and it was beyond good . I literally ate it alll maybe I was just that hungry but I ended up with a food coma . Food is affordable and the service they provide was exceptional. I probably had one of the best servers (Iveth) always checking in on me if I needed refill on water or coffee or giving me the top favorites. Apparently next time I have to try the hamburgers for lunch they better than Brahms i hear and also try the cinnamon rolls. That will be tried on my next visit. Server was Very sweet, kind and informative. Other staff also seem to be hard at work and giving customers all their undivided attention. This is definitely a place for many regulars. Service was from the workers was amazing, until we got kicked out right after closing by the racist manager we used to come here ever week after church but after that instance you can forget about it I have no pity racist ignorant plp, we were just about to leave having paid our bill already and just waiting until my 3 year old daughter got out of the restroom. The manager didn't have to be an a** and tell us to get out he could have just asked us to leave and said we're closing. But no he just said to get out. Really is that customer service, I get the point that it's closing time but that's no excuse to be that way and disrespect me and my family. My best friend Julie and I meet for breakfast here every 2-3 months and we have never had bad service. It is always packed but we haven't waited more than 15 min or so for seating. Can't get any better than this. The "garbage" breakfast is popular, but anything you get will be good. I like the two eggs plus bacon. They also have very good corned beef hash. Very fairly priced for the amount of food. The meat dishes come with eggs however you like them, potatoes, and toast. The homemade white bread toast is sooooooo good. Thick and coated with butter. So probably not the healthiest, but if you are on a diet, they do have healthier alternatives. Sometimes there is a really long line, but it moves fast. Service is fast too. We were visiting from FL and learned that this was the staple bfast place in OKC. so we were eager to check it out. There was a line when we got there so we thought we were in for a horrible wait. To our surprise the line went super fast and within 5-7 minutes we were seated. Unfortunately, the wait was longer for our server to arrive and we had to ask a random person to please bring us coffee. Once he finally arrived, the service was good. This is one of the only breakfast spots I was able to find that served Cherizo. A spicy Mexican style "sausage" they cook with scrambled eggs and their signiture salsa that is out of this world delicious. The food here is so good! Best omelets and toast! It's to bad that the location I go to (may/memorial area) is so dirty! Dead flies everywhere, even inside the menus! Dirty stinky bathrooms, filthy floors and the dust is caked on thick around the dining area. It makes me wonder what the condition of the kitchen is! And it's always super hot in there. I've been going to Jimmy's Eggs for over a decade, usually the one on Classen and Expressway. It's one of my favorite breakfast places, with each order plentiful and easy on the wallet. Service is quick and friendly, even when there's a wait, it's usually not that long. That was no different at this location. This was my first time on the N. May location, and I was a little sad that my waffle was a burnt. I had been craving a big fluffy waffle. I came here for an early morning meeting and I hadn't been to this location before. It was nicer than most other Jimmy's Eggs I have been to and the waitress was really good. There were 5 of us in a booth and she had us all taken care of at all times. The food came out pretty quickly as well and I'm never disappointed with the biscuit debris! It's a simple breakfast plate of biscuits and gravy with ham and sausage on top with shredded cheddar cheese and hash browns on the side. It always hits the spot even though I probably should've ordered something a tad bit healthier... They do have some healthy options as well so don't be discouraged! Good prices and great service.
