The are always so kind with our daughter and there's good discounts on the app if you download it. We got the pancakes for free last time! We split the Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs - always a great choice! The chocolate chip pancakes were so delicious. Cottage cheese is always yummy as well. I've given this place so many chances but unfortunately it is absolute trash. I keep giving them chances because it's the closest place to my house for breakfast. I ordered delivery during COVID and got Eggs Benedict. It had sausage on it instead of ham. I gave them another chance on delivery. Still awful. I've dined inside multiple times only to be sitting there ignored. Always takes forever to get a drink or coffee. Always takes forever to put my order in. Always takes forever to ask for whatever the hell they screwed up or forgot when they brought my food out. Always takes forever to get my check. It's like no one inside of this establishment cares about any part of the customer experience, from service, to wait times, and the quality of the food. I really hate coming here. I want it to be good so bad, but every time I tell myself I'm a complete idiot for falling for it again. You'd be better off just swinging through McDonald's. Had a very mediocre experience at Jimmy's Egg. Staff was a little all over the place and brought some of the wrong food out. It was a very busy Saturday morning but just wasn't great. We had a group of 7 with two of those being kids. Unfortunately didn't get pictures of all the food but it was brought out sporadically and getting pieces of meals but not everything. Which isn't a huge deal rather have warm food than everything at once. It did make it so some of our party was done before others got anything tho so a little much. I had the country skillet, it was so bland, gravy from a packet taste. No seasoning, biscuit was hard, hash browns didn't seem seasoned as described. Ordered my daughter the mini stack pancakes off the kids meal and the server only ever brought the pancakes not the egg or bacon. Again super busy so wasn't going to bug her about it but was annoying. Cinnamon roll was average at best, seemed like I could've got it from the bakery at a grocery store section. Rest of our group also thought the food in general was bland and lacked flavor. I won't be back personally. Obviously some people enjoy it based off it being busy but it was not it for me. read more

Lots of options for breakfast and some burgers and sandwiches for lunch. We ordered scrambled eggs, French toast, and grits. The French toast had cinnamon maple butter on top that was flavorful. The grits and eggs are normal average. Prices are reasonable, coffees decent. Services, friendly, and quick. Stopped in for Sunday morning breakfast so knew they would be busy, the wait line out the door. Surprisingly the line moved fast, employees were very efficient so we didn't have to wait long at all. Our server came right over welcomed us grabbed our drinks, came right back and took our order, all at the same time seating others and assisting cleaning tables. Our order came out quickly and cooked perfectly, everything tasted good. Definitely has that chain restaurant vibe but overall very satisfied with the service and food. read more

We are 78 and 75 and took our grandsons to Jimmys egg on 168th and Maple. We ordered 2 meals- mine was a 55+ omelet and side was an order of pancakes for my 7 year old grandson-- my husband ordered an egg sandwich with a side of pancakes for the 5year old. I was shocked when we got our bill and had extra charges because the boys wanted choc chip pancakes -- 2.19 extra on each sides because they ordered chips. Really! This is my parents favorite spot, so you know it has to be good (they're picky.) While sometimes the line for a table may seem daunting, it goes pretty quick and when you're sat, you're immediately. Coffee is always full, the food is decently proportionate. Prices are better than some of the more trendy places. My kids tend to eat all their meals here and we always have a great time. Mediocre food, hit or miss service, lazy bussing. Been here several times and unfortunately just can't see myself going back. The food quality is low and attention to detail just isn't there. Missing items, cheese not fully melted, unripe fruit, under seasoned meat, the list goes on. The cleanliness could be improved a lot too. There's usually food or silverware on the floor or the table after it has been "cleaned." I think the bussers are pressured to work quickly, and I understand trying to hurry when there's a wait, but who wants to sit at a dirty table? There's a server that really seems like a liability. I think she has a physical issue, but she just shakes very hard when holding food. She spilled water on my lap and almost dumped my husband's breakfast on the floor. Very disappointing breakfast today, pretty simple stuff but they didn't deliver: the hash browns were barely warm and weren't crispy or even browned, they may have spent 30 seconds on the griddle but that's all.The toast just wasn't really toasted, kinda crisp-like on one side & buttered but the other was basic damp bread - however the three links were okay and soft poached eggs were perfect which at least got that right. This place used to be my go-to but that's long past, $14 for a half baked breakfast and cup of chicory tasting coffee is a ripoff - hell McDonald's or Dunkin' delivers better quality than this. Jimmy's is a giant waste of your money for mediocre quality and poor preparation. Next time it'll be, First Watch, Perkins, Denny's, IHOP or any of the mom and pops! read more

So first off, the service was IMPECCABLE! Dani and Lacey were absolutely amazing ! I have never received greater service in any brunch spot in Omaha. Though they were almost closing, they both ensured we were well taken care of. Their omelets were extremely fresh and Belgian waffle also made fresh with clean berries. I almost burnt my tongue even after food had been served. Overall, the food was a 10/10 but the customer service was 15/10! Will definitely come again next visit to Nebraska. Dogs were getting groomed nearby so I had time to kill. Never been to any Jimmy's Egg location before so I thought I'd try it. I was greeted with a hello as I walked in by a server walking by. It was about half full so pretty peaceful for 8am. Sat at the front counter. Alex greeted my soon after I grabbed the menu. He was very personable. We chatted a bit and he took my order. My food arrived within about 5 min!! I got the conquistador omelette, side of cottage cheese, side of bacon and a cinnamon iced coffee, which I never knew was a thing. Very subtle cinnamon taste, which was good. Everything was delicious, and the staff was great. Glad Alex was able to escape Wisconsin!! read more

I really need to branch out and try something else but I love this breakfast!! I got it once when we first moved here (it was called Debris on the togo menu) and now again in the restaurant (called the Garbage). OMG! I can't pass this up! Crispy hash browns topped with a TON of crumbled sausage, onions, and green bell peppers, two eggs and your choice of sides. The house-made thick-cut white bread is a must! So comforting. So satisfying. Of course I have to order a side of bacon (seriously... this is a throwaway. Just a habit!) and a side of biscuits and gravy. Solid biscuits and gravy! I HATE gravy made with chicken stock. This is not! Good and creamy white gravy! Serious shoutout to Carly when I was having a the worst day of my life. She was so compassionate and sweet! So to sum up... yes this place is a chain but it has seriously solid food, great prices, and some great servers! You can't go wrong here. I've been to a few Jimmy's Egg locations and while they have decent food and service, there really isn't anything that makes them stand out. This is definitely a step up from the typical IHOP, Village Inn, Waffle House, or Denny's if you are looking for a breakfast spot. Be prepared to stand in line at the door, seating is limited at all locations and there has yet to not be a line. Food is your basic breakfast foods (omelettes, egg staples, pancakes, French toast, waffles, etc), but again is much better than some of the big chain restaurants. I have yet to go for lunch, although they seem to have a limited selection for that meal. One thing I do really like is they have an app with a virtual punch card...but 10 entrees get the 11th free. You can also order for pick up, which is a nice feature. The staff are always warm and wonderful, which is why I give them a solid 4 stars (if not a little higher). Jimmy's Egg restaurants are not open for dinner, which I wish they were because who doesn't love breakfast for dinner?! The servers here are phenomenal. You can tell they work together as a team and care about their customers. They offer a wide variety of meal options. I haven't had a bad one yet. My 18 month old also enjoys eating here. One of the servers (not mine in particular) noticed me struggling with my to-go boxes as I had my daughter in my hands. Jimmy egg is so good!! The portion size is huge, so come hungry. I love eating their queso skillet and cinnamon swirl pancakes! The atmosphere is okay, but the prices and food are excellent! When you walk in, there isn't much of a waiting area, so if it is packed, you will be squished in there with everyone else. The wait is never too long as the staff is super quick and efficient. This was my first visit to Jimmy's Egg at any location. We picked this place due to the proximity to where we were at the time. We were seated quickly and drink orders were taken while we looked over the limited menu items. Eggs benedict was chosen and the wait was minimal. Hashbrowns were hot but lacked the crispness I expected. The ham was processed and not Canadian bacon or ham steak. Overall, service was good but not outstanding. My reason for the lower rating all comes down to service....the food was fine - pretty average breakfast fare, but on a recent Tuesday morning I ran out of patience. It was busy, which surprised me so I don't know if it was the retirement crowd of west O or perhaps parents taking their kids out to breakfast on one of their last mornings before school started. There was no hostess, we stood for over 5 minutes at the sign that said "please wait to be seated" until we were acknowledged. From there, everything was slow - getting drinks and our food came out much later than others in the same section as us who also had the same waitress but had arrived later. A table that arrived after us was completely done with their meal by the time we got ours. When our food arrived it was dropped on the table and our waitress quickly ran away, not even asking us if we needed anything such as I don't know, silverware, which we didn't have. This required me to get up and chase down our waitress who decided to do a few other tasks before coming back with our utensils. I noticed at least 3 other tables having to get up and ask their waitresses for the basics. I won't be back. read more

My latest visit to Jimmy's on West Maple was a bit of a fiasco. The place was packed, and there did not seem to be nearly enough wait staff to cover the floor properly. As a result, our orders were messed up, service was quite poor, and our waitperson was very flustered and clearly out of her depth. BTW, the food that was received was fine, it just wasn't the orders that were given to the waitperson. I guess that I'll just chalk it up to forgetfulness that she never brought me back my change; I'd hate to think that it was consciously decided that a 50% tip was deserved for the services rendered! read more
