Great ramen in town. Flavorful broth with just the right balance of seasoning. The comforting bowl you ever need after the hike. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive.

The Ramen here was amazing! On a rainy night, it was the perfect meal. We tried a few, but agreed that their specialty curry ramen was superior! The staff were super friendly in their recommendations and the place was cute on the inside!

A new (to me) Aspen fav! I love the relaxed ambiance, and affordable prices compared to most Aspen places. The service was great, and they are opening a patio soon (if not already, we visited in May). Will definitely be back because I dream about the Philly cheesesteak dumplings!

Tried this place when visiting Aspen for work. Walk up ordering at the bar and the gentleman was rude. Ordered 2 different gyozas: Philly cheesesteak and spicy pork $16 each for 4 gyozas. Also got 2 bowls of ramen: tonkatsu one with hot chili bomb and one regular with ajitama. Each bowl $27 with each add on $2 a piece; drinks: Diet Coke and water. Total was $110. Open seating with long tables so you might share with others. Found a cozy spot for 2. Ramen arrived before the gyoza. Very underwhelming: broth was just ok, noodles just ok, chatsu pork was quite tasty but the stand out the ajitama. Had so much flavor and was cooked to perfection, with the yolk resembling gel. Quite possibly the best ajitama we ever had. When gyozas did arrive the were not hot but took long. Dough felt super chewy, like a little raw. Other than that shin ramen made at home is better and much better value. This place is underwhelming and overpriced. Looks can be deceiving

This is an awesome more casual option in Aspen. Decor is quaint and eclectic and more local. They take typical dishes you see in the US like poke and ramen but make them much fresher and with more interesting flavors. The portions were quite large as well. For drinks I definitely recommend having the staff recommend sake selection. I'm going to make this a go-to spot for whenever I'm in Aspen.

Service was great. I'm just used to traditional ramen but, this was very good and creative.

Decent ramen spot. They have just a couple things on the menu: ramen and dumplings, but both are delicious. The menu itself doesn't mention prices because they vary but happy hour which ends around 5pm ramen is $15 and dumplings are also $15 but it's BOGO. Overall casual dining, recommend if you're looking for something filling and affordable.

I would say it's not the best ramen, but it's good for Aspen. I ordered the vegetarian ramen and came in big bowl with noodles, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, tofu, bean sprouts, corns and garnished in sesame seeds. The broth was good and it's really fills you up. My friend ordered the taco sashimi it was good too. But the dumplings were way too small for the price. Ambiance was very casual, cool music and plenty magazines to read from playboy magazines to living in Japan book. Service was good and overall it was good.

We were very excited to try Jimoto Ramen while visiting Aspen. We were first drawn to coming here because they had great reviews. When we approached the restaurant, a very nice waiter greeted us and asked and immediately made us feel more than welcome. We started with an order of Spicy Pork Gyoza. They were spicy pork dumplings that were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and packed full of flavor. I could've eaten several orders! We ordered the Tokoyo Style Tonkotsu and the Mountain Miso. Both were very good if you like ramen. They even made our daughters their own ramen that only had chicken in it. The menu is very limited which made it easy to decide what we wanted to eat. They have indoor and outdoor seating and even have some very comfy chairs to enjoy if you're not looking to sit at a proper lunch/dinner table. The entire restaurant was very clean, service was top notch and the food didn't disappoint. Be sure to check them out while you're in Aspen.

This place f**ks. Seriously shocked to find an A grade ramen restaurant in aspen. Ramen was perfect. I cannot find a fault, except that I wasn't hungry enough to eat two. I got the pork tonkatsu ramen. Pork was fantastic. Getting a double serving next time. Philadelphia dumpling was surprisingly good, felt more like Gyoza. Overall love this place and will be coming back. Price was very reasonable for Aspen. You might consider it expensive if you've only had cup of ramen.

Old fashioned with their house Japanese whiskey. Amazing!

Very solid ramen at a very reasonable price for Aspen. Only real downside is not a lot of customization options.

The wine list is very nice, and you won't break the bank -- especially at happy hour, with two dollars off each glass of wine between 5 and 7 PM. We had the House Malbec, from Mendoza, Argentina, and it had a delicious flavor and aroma. It was a full bodied and smooth, dark red offering. For an appetizer, we had the Shishati grilled peppers with pesto/cilantro sauce, and they were just fantastic. They are mild, nicely grilled, and beautifully presented. It is served as an appetizer, but please be warned, one out of every nine peppers is exceedingly hot. We had about 12 peppers, and all of them were mild, so we beat the odds! I've had hamburgers all over the world, and I can honestly say I have not had a better cheeseburger than I got right here from the menu at Blackstock. It's in a traditional bun, lightly toasted, with tempura, onion, cracked pepper, mayo, Tabasco, candied and smoked bacon, and it is served with Hand-cut fries. You can add guacamole for a dollar, or blue cheese or Gruyere cheese for another dollar. But I did not add a thing; it was perfect as it came out of the kitchen for me! You will be asked how you want your hamburger cooked, and I chose medium. It could not have been better! It's on the menu at a very fair $21 including your hand-cut fries. My lovely dinner-date had the petite filet mignon, a 5-ounce offering of spectacular steak, served with goat cheese, potato croquettes, asparagus, stewed shallots, served with a Cabernet Demi glaze at $45. It was a large serving, I believe bigger than 5 ounces, because we are taking half of it home in a to-go box! Again, the food was spectacular... really good. We will finish with the flourless chocolate torte, serve with whipped cream and Amarina dark cherries at $11. If I was a betting man, I'd say you're gonna love this place! Take a few pictures, do what I did, and leave a review, because more people need to know the quality of food coming out of this little storefront on a busy street in Gunnison! And if you ask for Danielle, be advised, he's a great server and you will get exactly what you need! He's very attentive, and charming.

More recently, we sat at the bar last week to enjoy both happy hour, and the ramen menu. The bartender was great, and checked in with us regularly. We started with a small plate of the bistro fries - which comes covered in Truffle Oil, Herbs de Provence, and Parmesan Cheese - they're super good, and would say better than a certain CB restaurant's crack fries. The small order was plenty for the three of us to share. For drinks, we started with wine, beer, and I had a mojito. The mojito wasn't my favorite - for some reason, it was really sweet. Second drink was a glass of Sauvignon blanc, which went well with the ramen. On to the ramen - I went with the Boo-Tan-E-Koo Pork broth, traditional wavy noodles, pork belly, poached egg, tempura, green onion, buttered sweet corn, chile thread, fresh ginger, sesame seeds. It was delicious, flavorful, and I couldn't get through the whole bowl (I took about half of it home). That was my first time taking ramen home, and would note it heated up nicely for lunch the next day. We will absolutely be back to try more of the menu!

Our experience at Meat & Cheese in Aspen was disappointing from beginning to end…read more To start with, the food was mediocre in every sense. The quality did not justify the prices, the flavors were forgettable, and nothing we ordered stood out. Unfortunately, what happened afterward was far worse. My wife accidentally left behind a shopping bag containing a brand new pair of sunglasses she had purchased earlier that day. When she returned to retrieve them, our interaction with a server named Carson was deeply disappointing. Instead of simply confirming ownership in a courteous and professional manner, Carson repeatedly questioned whether the sunglasses were actually hers. He kept emphasizing that they were brand new and worth around $600, making it clear that he found it difficult to believe they belonged to her. It was impossible not to feel that she was being judged based solely on her appearance. There is absolutely nothing wrong with verifying ownership of a valuable item. In fact, we appreciate businesses that take lost property seriously. What is unacceptable is allowing assumptions and stereotypes to influence how customers are treated. One lesson worth remembering is that genuine elegance and long established wealth rarely need to announce themselves. Those who have had the privilege of success across generations often feel no need to advertise it with designer logos or outward displays. True class is reflected in education, humility, confidence, and, above all, in the way people treat others. Ironically, Carson's assumptions said far more about his own judgment than they did about my wife. No customer should ever be made to feel that they need to "look wealthy" in order to be treated with respect. We hope management addresses this issue seriously. The mediocre food was forgettable. Being judged and treated with prejudice is not. Every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy, professionalism, and dignity, regardless of how they are dressed or what assumptions someone chooses to make about them.
