The mechanic verfied I was ok to drive to work that day and I made an appointment for the next morning and dropped my car off the evening before. On Saturday, the mechanic on duty called with a quote for my check engine light, but had also prepared separate quotes for other issues that needed to be addressed for my car. Initially, this stressed me out -- (even though I also knew these items were issues on my car, but wasn't ready to fix them yet). I asked them if they could email the quotes to me which they did. I went online and I ran over to the reviews before approving any of the repairs and saw a 5 star review from a neighbor that is the kind of person I would imagine would leave a very thorough and honest review of a mechanic. (I had also had great experience at this garage years before, but wasn't sure if it was managed by the same person - it still is). I gave my ok and the parts were ordered and arrived on Monday, my car was completely repaired and ready to go by Tuesday at noon. Law enforcement cited this establishment for doing mechanic work without a license. They promised a refund, yet nothing has been received. I was a customer for many years. It's a shame they decline any help. Please post here how you intend to compensate for my loss based on poor workmanship creating life threatening conditions. I received no offer after law enforcement contacted M & S and after I went there in person. Your previous reply seems hollow and disingenuous. It is against the Motor Vehicle Service and Repair Act to charge for or perform repairs on a vehicle when you are not certified. State agent Dennis Koss is the person who issued their violation. The shop hasn't made any offer to me for their bad work done by the owner who has no license.
