I took in my shoes to get the heels redone as they had fallen off. A young guy helped me and let me know. They would be ready two weeks later. It was $18. I think Jim helped me when I returned. Can't say much, wore the shoes in a hotel for about a week and a little bit outside as I walked around the block once a day. They have held up so far. Maybe my only criticism so far is that it did seem to take pretty long for what I thought would be a pretty easy job. But I wasn't in a rush. read more

I got a pair of sling-backs altered to fit me tighter. I asked for them to sew the strap shorter by 1 cm. It took a week and cost me about $20. I honestly think it was worth it because I wear these shoes so often now because they fit me. The lady I talked to was kind and helpful. When it came to picking up my shoes there was slight confusion on where my shoes were but they found them after a few minutes. I recommend bringing your shoes in a box so it's easier for them to find! I would come here again! read more

8 days and 19 bucks later, two patches were terribly glued and sewn into hats. One of which has hard yellow glue splotches on either side of patch and of course the response was: "not my glue". Sure. "Not your glue". Ok. Take zero responsibility and blame the person who dropped the hat off to be glued and sewn for patch work. So, No mention of trying to resolve the issue? Total joker. And the second patch is sewn in crookedly. I will undoubtedly not return to this place. Approximately 20 bucks for 2 patch jobs that I could have done with glue and a blind fold. Jim's (Hugo) shoe repair is the best in Orange county. He takes jobs other places won't. My wife has a drop-foot and drags her left foot and wears down the bottom front of the sole. I had some nice leather hiking boots. The soles were worn. The man looked at them said resole would be costly and recommended texture the thick soles to give them grip. He did this in 2 days and the boot bottoms looked new. He cut new grooves in them. Very honest and very economical. He previously fixed my husband's golf shoes. Definitely recommend. read more

I came here because it was on my way home and I did not have time to get to my regale show repair in Irvine. I met with Hugo and he was very sweet and professional. I asked for next day service and he said that the glue would need to dry for 24 hours on the vibram sole so he did not recommend that and could not guarantee his work. Loved my experience here! I came in with a pair of clogs that needed an additional hole added to the straps. I was greeted by the daughter of the owner and she was friendly and very helpful. I didn't call ahead to reserve a time or anything, but they were able to help me right away and I was in and out in less than five minutes! Repaired my bicycle luggage while I waited! This Cordura bag is a tool bag that straps to my bicycle frame with velcro. It got caught in the chain and the strap got torn off. I couldn't sew it by hand so I brought it to Jim. In addition to shoes he repairs luggage. He sewed it back on in a few minutes, good as new and under $10!
