My husband and I have been to this location several times and it seems as though the service gets worse. I understand that people make mistakes, but when you are in placing the order and the person taking your order clearly is not listening to you, that is completely different. Our orders are alway wrong and when we ask to have them corrected, we get alot of attitude. I work for a food delivery service and have waited at this location for way too long for food. It's absolutely ridiculous and NOT the workers fault! It's a Saturday night, why in the world 1) is your lobby closed 2) do you only have a few people on staff?? I get this stuff happens but based on the other reviews this is a common thing. I had a coupon that supposedly never expires for free nachos. I didn't see nachos on the menu and was informed that they were discontinued. Being since my coupon had a supposed infinite value I asked if it would be possible to substitute something else. I was told no the nachos were gone and so was the value of the coupon. So, my value in their customer service has expired. My money will now go somewhere else. I know this sounds like I'm being cheap, but it's a matter of principle. read more

My husband lives for the Diavlo. It is the only sub that I can actually say he's completely unable to finish. I usually go for a Stinger. I have had only one issue with a stinger, and it's simply that when getting a half of one, sometimes, depending on the size of the chicken, it might not even come close to cover the 6 inch sub. Perhaps if only a small finger is avail, place 2 on the Stinger so that you can have that bite of Chicken and Beef at the same time? My other love, is the Chicken or Steak in the grass. I enjoy it just the spinach, meat, cheese... That's my favorite way. However, I would love (since I can be a bit indecisive at times) if you had a Chicken and Steak in the grass and combine the meats chopped up. Just a thought and another way to enjoy the best of both worlds. As far as pricing is concerned, I find Jim's to be reasonable esp since you're getting fresh products. It's not steak-ums like a majority of steak places give you at a lesser cost. So if you like steakums, Jimmy's isn't for you. But if you want real beef, with a chance of marbling and all then Jim's is for you. With regards to the drive through, perhaps, come up with a way that it's for order pick ups only, not for ordering like at a McDonald's(example) where food is cooked already and microwaved and handed immediately out the window. We came inside, deciding we wanted to eat out now that we have both been lucky enough to get COVID vaccinated. What we didn't realize was that their dining room was NOT heated, AT ALL! Brought it to the attention of management and their excuse? "We can turn it on, but it will take at least 1/2 hour for it to warm up.". I kid you not. You would think that because they advertise that they offer indoor dining, perhaps, just perhaps, being that this location is located in Western New York, it is March AND the inside temperature appears to be cooler inside than it is outside (42 outside), they might have their dining room heated. This location has made money, hand over fist during this pandemic, they can well afford to heat their dining room. There is NO excuse for this despicable customer experience. I went to Jim's Steakout last night and as soon as we walked in to order they said the grill was broken but wouldn't tell us what the options were for the food they could make .. apparently 95% of the items need the grill because everything we asked was a NO. Even though we didn't order I needed to use the restroom and went to the women's bathroom . The door was locked and I stood around for a few minutes while 4 employees sat in the back seating area complaining about how awful their job was . Finally a guy asked me what I was waiting for and I said the restroom but it's locked and he said he would go get the key .. another 2 minutes went by and the kid did not come back so i went to the front again and saw an employee sitting on top of the counter ... at that point i realized they were not going to let me use the restroom so I left . read more

Is it your policy to not answer the phone when you are busy? Bc if online ordering isn't up how else can you get an order in to pick up. How do I know this store does that? Because I was there today and the skinny girl with the curly ponytail told the nice cashier to "stop answering the phone!" She meant it, she screamed at him to ignore it the next time it rang and it just kept ringing, like 3 more times. That's the way I used to order when I lived here but I moved to NJ. I came in today bc there is no chicken finger sub like Jim's but I won't miss it anymore as I won't be back. That's pathetic customer service. Online ordering is a joke they have lost my order more times than they have actually had it when I showed up to pick it up. Today we showed up, stopped at the drive thru speaker told them we were here to pick up an order. Then waited in line for 15 minutes only to get up to the window to be told they do not have my order. We ordered two 12 inch steak hoagie, the meat was for the most part inedible. The meat was not chopped fine enough, one piece of gristle was large enough to have caused an adult choke. We do not recommend. read more

Even after I tapped on 2 stars I immediately wondered why I awarded this location 2 stars. Had Jim's Steakout last summer and the steak subs are pretty good. There was also a time last summer when I called on a Friday at 1:30 p.m. and got left on hold for ten minutes. After ten minutes I hung up and got food somewhere else. Since I only work in Orchard Park from Spring until Fall, I usually don't have Jim's in the winter. Some of my co-workers (who live in the area) raved about Jim's new Stinger (chicken finger and steak for those of you who don't live in the area) sub. It's not a new concept, but Jim's just rolled out their version of it. I decided to give it a try. The going rate for a meat-based sub in Buffalo is around $8-9. Jim's Stinger rings up at an alarming $11. For that price you'd assume that you get a cornucopia of chicken fingers and steak. You'd be wrong. My Stinger (at best) had two chopped up chicken fingers and what looked like thawed out Steakums diced up and cooked on a flat top. If I wanted Steakums, I'm pretty sure I could buy them immediately from a supermarket with less of a wait time for less money. 2 chicken fingers on a full sized sub is a joke. The entire concept behind a Stinger (and there are some great Stingers in Buffalo, the best I've had hailing from La Pizzeria on Elmwood in the city) is a mountain of fingers and steak all diced up, doused in hot sauce and a bun that's slathered in blue cheese or mayo depending on your preference. This wasn't that. Jim's Stinger was pretty pathetic. There are a LOT of great restaurants, takeout joints, Chinese takeouts, fast food franchises and mom and pop businesses in West Seneca, Orchard Park, East Aurora and Hamburg. With this Jim's location, you're (over)paying for the name and I'm not sure what else. I've had slightly better luck with their location on Transit Rd. in Williamsville, but the next time I spend $11 on a sub I better have a religious experience or an orgasm because that's entirely too much for a terrible sandwich. read more

Every once and a while I get a craving for Jim's, but I think the service at this store may cure me. The food is usually ok, but the consistency is one problem. Usually my hoagies are either cold by the time I get home (less than 5 min drive) or have soaked so much through the bun that it is inedible. The boneless wings are sometimes nice and plump, or it seems like fried to within an inch of their life. The only thing that is good all the time is the sweet potato fries. The service here though is sloooow. If there is more than 2 cars in the drive thru, don't do it! You will be here forever. You will be standing around waiting inside too though if it is moderately busy. I went recently and there was no one in drive thru...score! It was raining and I was in my Saturday lounge-wear best so I didn't want to go in. But about 4 cars pulled up behind me. The problem was no one came to the speaker for over 5 minutes. The cars behind me turned into an angry mob, so I decided to pull up to the window. The young man behind me finally came to the window, but ignored me/was too scared to look at my probably pissed off face and started finally taking drive thru orders. It was another 3 or so minutes until he opened the window. I asked for the manager after giving my story and an older man/owner came over and I explained. He apologized and said he had 3 people call off. I still had to pull up and wait another 5 minutes for my food. It was just ok and my boneless wings were fried enough so that they didn't have to make me wait any longer. Also, they need to ramp up the packaging. The clam shell Styrofoam they use for the boneless wings ALWAYS leaks. Especially when they hand it to you standing up straight with the seam of the container and all its contents aimed at the bottom of the tall paper bag.... also, they don't take Discover card. Maybe you do really have to be drunk to put up with all the issues of this place... read more

I am a pretty picky eater and love my meals to be very plain for it to be enjoyable. Known for their "I see drunk people" quotes on their Jim's shirts, those four words describe the biggest part of their business, having lines of drunk, hungry people going out the door at the end of the night around 4am when people are forced to leave the bar and feed their drunken need for some great drunk food before getting home and praying to the porcelain gods that their great food stays down for them to enjoy. Now that I got that graphic tale of how Jim's Steakout became the hot spot for the late night munch fest let's get on with the review! Assuming your reading reviews here to see if this place is right for you, I'll give you an honest answer, yes it is. Jim's has a variety of food that you can choose from. My favorite sub they have is the Diavlo which has steak chopped on the grill topped with fried hot peppers, melted cheese and Jim's Secret Sauce - all on a toasted Italian roll. All hoagies come in an 8 inch or 12 inch option. In the mood for a taco or possibly a wrap? wings? other hot or cold hoagies? How about a burger grilled to perfection? that's just a short list of options you can get here. If you're on a diet or just like to eat healthy there are different varieties of salads, from healthy to unhealthy salads, or even order one of each ;). There are a few different side orders you can add onto your order as well such as onion rings, chips and three different styles of fries: regular fries, taco fries, and if you're Canadian you'll love this more than anyone, the poutine fries. There are combo options you can choose from too which will give a slight discount if you order your food in that fashion. This may be my least favorite Jim's only because i'm not very fond of the area (no offense anyone!) I sound like a broken record saying this but the service was great, the employees were nice and I was full, that's all I needed :) Think this can be your favorite place where you might start dropping some serious cash here to feed that Jim's craving? Ask them a Jim's card. The card is free and you can gain points with every purchase you make. You'll be pleasantly surprised when you tally your points and get a meal on Jim's for being a great customer. I lost my card but they were able to get me another one and transfer my points, so you know they want you to get the points and get a free meal on them because that's just how they are, great people who put up with a lot of drunk people to make sure your fed before passing out. This is one of the best ideas for a company I've seen in a long time, and can see this place blow up and expand throughout the U.S as one of the next big things. I had the absolute worst experience at this location. We went through the drive through and ordered. We pulled up to the window to wait at least 15 minutes for anyone to even come to the window. They over charged us for items we didn't order, had to remake the sub twice because they didn't listen when we ordered in the first place, then shut the window in my face when I was explaining the order. Only to come back and say "what do you want NOW?" He was extremely rude, I could not believe it. Great Chicken Finger Subs with blue cheese and hot sauce!!! It's a messy mess to eat, but oh so good! Good deals and they have a reward/bonus card too!!! Just don't... I phoned in an order, went to pick it up... no one answering the drive thru... Drive up to the window and have 2 employees look at me and walk away... So I call back when I get home and tell them...cancel the order ... "Why... You can't pick it up?" ...tell them what happened and get poor attitude, blown off with a "whatever" and hung up on. This was the last straw... Orders have been 50/50 with consistency. I easily spent hundreds of $$$ every year at this location... I'm done. I will make sure that whenever this business is brought up in conversation that my opinion is expressed...which as you can guess is extremely poor. As a fast food worker myself, I totally understand that with business, sometimes orders might take a little bit longer than usual. However, I placed an online order and was told that the food would be ready at 7:25 pm. I came to pick it up at 7:30 and the food was not even started (as they told me at the window) saying my order appeared to be "lost" even when I produced the receipt. Like I said, I'm totally understanding about small mistakes. However, this has happened a few times and gives me the impression that these workers are being slammed which is effecting their ability to have orders ready on time. This to me is a clear indication that management in the resturant needs to step up and put more people on the schedule to make sure workers are not overwhelmed. I eventually got my food, but not until 8:03, which is literally 38 minutes after it was supposed to be picked up. I understand this resturant isn't really "fast food" but like I said, this looks poorly on the management and is genuinely frustrating not only to the customers but to the workers. read more

The location the fact that they have a drive-thru is convenient. Although the food is pretty good tasting they have few healthy choices. Ie: They do not offer whole-wheat wraps only white. My biggest "beef" is that on more than one occasion regardless of time or day of the week when ordering by phone you're placed on hold for the entire length of your break only to arrive and have to wait a great length of time once again to pick up your order! so I have to say they are good but not great. Ordered pick up at 3am, taco in a bag with no meat among other things and sure enough when we returned home, the taco in a bag had meat. The other food was subpar, mac n cheese bites were alright. I have just bought my last Jim's. I go to the one on Main St, and the cook just patted the steak no working it what so ever. I could only eat about half of it because the steak was so tough I could not chew it. If the Black guy is cooking on Main St. order a sub because he sucks at cooking steak sandwiches, but I will not be back so they will miss the business and the tips.
