This was my first time eating here, I was expecting something different. It was nothing special about a chicken finger on a roll, and my fries were salty, but the customer service was great and the restaurant was clean, and the guy who took the order, did a great job explaining everything, It was a very quiet time inside which was fine. For me personally, i don't have to go back

    Hot Dave's #3 1 Tender & 1 Slider w/ Fries --HOT

We were craving fried chicken and this is a relatively new restaurant in the area so we decided to try it and pick it up for dinner. I'm not a huge fan of hot spicy food so I got plain fingers and fries and my hubs went all out with the HOT. Boy, was that a mistake for him! His eyes immediately teared up and he was feeling the heat. He said next time he'd go for medium. I liked that the batter was nice and crispy and it was refreshing to eat REAL fried chicken and not crappy nuggets from chains. We will see how the next outing goes!

With speedy service I received my daves slider. It was on a potato bun, with the kale slaw, pickles and drissled in the daves sauce. It was huge, hot and tasty. They also serve tenders, mac & cheese, fries and shakes.Pleny of on-site parking.

Received my daves slider with fast service. The slider had tender meat ,with kale slaw, pickles, drissled in a daves sauce on a potato bun and was delicious. They have mac & cheese, tenders, fries and shakes on the menu.Lots of parking in their lot.

Went for a lunch meeting to check out another hot chicken spot in the area and though I'm not particularly a fan of slider style sandwiches, these were good. Instead of getting a breast or thigh sandwich like most places, they serve it up as tenders. The chicken definitely had a kick as you went up in the heat level. I got one as 'hot' and the other 'xtra hot' to have comparison and you definitely will feel/taste the difference between those two levels. The crinkle cut fries were a good compliment and though I can't quite say what the Dave's sauce is, it was yummy on the sandwich as well as with the fries. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

This is my first time going to a Dave's. I didn't even realize it was a chain until after I was set on going there. I have to say, I was very impressed with this location. It was very clean, organized, and the vibe was very relaxed. The staff were helpful, and the service was SUPER quick. I don't think it took more than a couple of minutes to get our food. Onto the food. I love hot chicken sandwiches. I was looking forward to seeing how this spot stacked up against some other places in Buffalo. The difference here is that they have a dry rub seasoning on their chicken as opposed to a sauce. It's very unique and also very delicious. The heat is real here. The hot is actually hot and a good burn to get the tastebuds going. I got the two slider combo with fries. The sliders here are bigger than your usual slider which is good. I would say their two sliders were the same size combined as a good size normal chicken sandwich. I was very impressed with my meal here. I love the crinkle cut fries. The Dave's sauce was the perfect dipping sauce for the fries and also tasted good on the sandwich. If I'm in the area, I will definitely be back for more.

I received the recommendation from a co-worker to try this chicken. She drives an hour away weekly just to get it, so I took her up on her recommendation. I placed my order online, and waited and waited and waited. The restaurant was packed not a single available order and the line was wrapped toward the back. Nothing but a sea of people and a very confused worker trying to make sense of all the orders. As I waited I wondered, "is this wait going to be worth it?". The worker had to close down the line ro catch up with the orders. I had now been waiting 40 minutes past my given pick up time. Growing impatient and hungry my name was finally called. Was it worth it? HECK YEA! The chicken portions were huge and so crispy and flavorful, and juicy and tender. The chicken literally melts in your mouth. Combined with their amazing secret "Daves sauce" the flavor combination was outstanding! The French fries were so crispy and the seasoning on them made me go back for more. I ordered the chicken slider, mild. The spice was just right! Pro tip- order ahead of time and get ready to wait. Take your delicious food home, as there will not be any place to sit.

Really good. I got the hot chicken tender sliders combo. It was $14.99 for two with fries. The fries were sooo good. The chicken tenders were not at all what I expected. I was in love with the size and the quality of the chicken. They were fried with perfection. Extra extra crispy on the outside with a good mount of moisture on the inside. Thick and delicious pieces of chicken. It was spicy. Not too much that I couldn't handle. I didn't really taste anything else aside from the spicy rub. I was looking for other seasonings to present themselves. I'll try them again with the lowest level of heat to see if I can taste more seasoning. The Dave's sauce was really good. I ate my fries with it and put it on my sandwich. I definitely recommend

The food was delicious!! The chicken was perfectly juicy and crunchy. I got the large but I would have had plenty with the regular or maybe even the small! I took about half home. The cashier we had was very pleasant. The decor around the place was graffiti themed which I thought was pretty cool. I know it opened over half a year ago but it was still pretty busy. Overall I am definitely looking forward to coming back and I would recommend this place to anyone up north who wants some "Nashville style" chicken

Highly disappointed when I went to Dave's because the food is actually really good. But this is the little bit of greens they put on my sandwich. It's so skimpy!! The chicken was great, exactly what I ordered and the fries were fine too.

My fam and I've been here 3x over the past month so it's time to leave a review... First, a friend of mine told me I *had to* try Dave's hot chicken even before this location opened (said friend lives in Cali). He raved about the hot sandwich with extra Dave sauce + honey (a must!) so low and behold when this place opened up I tried his beloved sandwich... and it was not for me bcuz it was wayyy too spicy! Second visit I had the mild sandwich and it was delish. The fries were even better as they were hot and crispy. Third visit I had the medium sandwich and this will be my go-to from now on - I love it! Great price, happy staff, ALwAYS busy (line to door kinda wait) but every time was worth the trip and we will be coming back whenever we're in the mood for a delicious chicken sandwich (way better than ChikfilA imo) ! PS: hubs visited twice and tried med and also the hot - which he thinks is not *that* spicy. He's building up to the reaper so I'll be updating ;)

5/5 for this new place and I can't wait to come back again to try some new flavors! This place just opened so a few things weren't up and running (no ice and no ice cream) but the wonderful staff made up for any broken machines. They were so friendly, they opened the door for us, cleaned up dishes and even asked us how everything was and if we needed things. Super awesome! As far as the food - it was top notch. Dave's sauce is so delicious and be sure to ask for extra because you'll want to put it on everything! The cheese sauce was just okay, so it's better to dip your chicken and fries in the Dave's sauce. Fries are a must have! They are seasoned crinkle fries and have soooooo much flavor. Get the fries! The chicken is obviously the star of the show. There are so many different flavors so choose wisely! The chicken is coated with sauce but then topped with a rub which just gives it an extra layer of flavor! So so good! It's not very hot so be sure to level up if you like things spicy. I got mild and medium and neither one was spicy. Also the slider had so much flavor, I would say that's the best menu item. The slaw, the pickles, the chicken - absolutely a flavor combination that's out of this world. Loved everything about this place! Looking forward to coming back!

Waited a couple of weeks from opening day to avoid the long lines. We got our order taken within 5 mins of being in line & the workers are very friendly and helpful. The negative side to this review was it took a total of 28 mins to wait for the food to come out. The waiting area should've been thought out a bit better since I felt that everyone was smooshed together awkwardly. Nonetheless I got 2 tenders with fries (medium heat) & it was perfectly cooked & crunchy. It really isn't super spicy but it has a subtle hint to the rub. Fries were great & crunchy as well. Not too heavy on the seasoning either. With this one meal I was super full. I could barley finish the second one so they do not skimp, the chicken is pretty big. Everything was tastefully right. Thanks Dave

The flavors don't compete... they melt together into one big, perfect masterpiece. The peppers leaned sweet (no real heat), which made them the ideal companion to the delicious sausage. And that sausage? Made in-house and seasoned beautifully, with the perfect amount of fennel -- enough to give it that classic Italian character without overpowering the pie. Perfection! The buffalo mozzarella added creamy richness, the basil kept everything bright, and the San Marzano tomatoes were clean and balanced. We love pizza in all its forms -- New York style and Napoli alike -- but there is something about the rustic goodness of true Neapolitan pizza that has a special place in my pizza-loving heart. That airy, soft center and char-kissed crust from the wood-fired oven is magic. The use of such fresh ingredients makes Forno Napoli my favorite pizza on NY so far - authentic and intentional. There is a lot of love and pride in everything from the handmade crust to all of the toppings. They also serve a garlic butter and cheese dipping sauce for the crust -- indulgent and completely unnecessary in the BEST possible way. That blistered crust dipped in that sauce? Unreal. The cheese? Yes, they have the most beautiful wheel of pecorino they hand grate from to make this happen. No green shaker bottles here! We met Felix, the owner, and he was incredibly welcoming. He has such great energy -- warm, engaging, and clearly passionate. You can tell he's the heartbeat behind the recipes and the success of the business. It feels personal. He made us want to share just how great our entire experience was and he certainly made us want to return. Our only regret? We were too full to try another pizza. Do not hesitate. I enjoyed my pizza, although I wouldn't order this one again. I do want to say that it is pricey but you will get a very big pie of great quality. The dough was excellent! It was actually my favorite part and I've never said that about any pizza! Atmosphere is extremely casual. There's fruit infused waters to have and you go and grab them yourself (back right corner). This food was so good it's making me come out of Yelp semi-retirement…read more A certain hot chicken sandwich chain was giving out free sandwiches with a download of their app today, and as we drove by the restaurant I knew it was not in the cards - that place was PACKED. So instead, I perused Yelp for other fast dinner options. Here I came across HCK Hot Chicken, skimmed reviews (I rarely let other people sway my opinions anyway) and after checking the small-ish menu we decided to check it out. THANK GOODNESS WE DID. The space only had a few people when we got here, and after sitting and waiting for food I did notice many to-go/takeout orders come and go. They have a SOLID menu, with many staple chicken dishes (chicken sandwich, chicken & waffles, even a mac & cheese bowl), and of course, hot sauce of varying degrees. There's also a big ol' neon sign that says "HALAL" over their menu, so I'm assuming they ARE halal to some extent (would ask to confirm). I ain't no pansy, so I got a medium heat chicken sandwich. If that's not your baseline, you don't know hot chicken baby!! One of two combos (the other being just tenders) comes with the sandwich, fries, and a drink for about $15. My husband ordered the mac and cheese bowl, also medium. Now, you know how sometimes you order medium heat, and it's more like a warmer mild? Well, that's definitely not the case here. This is where HKC would get an extra star from me if it could. SIX stars for a medium hot chicken sandwich that was ACTUALLY medium, ACTUALLY cleared out my sinuses pretty well, and the fact that I slammed that sandwich down like it was my job speaks volumes. I tried my husband's Mac too, and it was so, so good. Y'all underestimate how much I've fallen for this place. I don't even live in the area anymore, and I'm already plotting ways and reasons for me to come over here so I can stop by for lunch when so desired. Staff was also very pleasant! We didn't spend too much time waiting in the lobby, an our food was out within 10 minutes of ordering. They're advertising as "made to order" and I can concur with that - our meals were fresh, and of course, HOT! I need these guys to move next door to my house! Until then, I'll be back to visit soon for sure.

My Dad and I used to visit Boston Market (particularly this location and the Delaware Avenue…read morelocation) quite often during its last few years in business. We had a sixth sense that the chain wasn't doing so good, which was a shame because their recipes for their food were wonderful. They were one of, if not the only, rotisserie chicken restaurants left in town that really put a nice spin on their food's taste ever since Swiss Chalet left Buffalo years ago. I'm aware that Swiss Chalet is still available in Canada, and that you simply need to cross the Canadian border to eat at Swiss Chalet again. But...let's be honest, after September 2001, no one has ever said that crossing the Canadian border is an easy task. Technology has come far, let me tell ya...you can see most every advancement in technology ever made as you slowly drive up to that interview podium on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge, recording your every move and every word... But enough about the difficulties of crossing into Canada. Boston Market was previously owned by Sun Capital Partners, before selling the business to the Rohan Group. This is important because Dad and I used to have good memories of Boston Market when the company was owned by Sun Capital, and each firm before that, because those companies knew to keep the food recipes consistently tasty throughout their run. Emphasis on "consistent". Just like how McDonald's makes the same Big Mac recipe at each location, Boston Market used to have standard recipes for how to specifically cook and prepare each food item, so that the taste of each batch of food was consistent with the batch prepared before it. Dad and I were devastated to find out that Boston Market shut down most, if not all, of their locations across the country back in 2023 due to financial problems. And we were just as shocked to find out that Boston Market was making a big comeback in 2025, with the Maple Road location being the first to reopen its doors. In fact, the owner plans to open up to 10 locations across the Buffalo area. Wow! Ten locations? What a deal! Ten spots across Buffalo to enjoy some delicious rotisserie chicken, mac and cheese, creamed spinach, and their decadent (albeit inconsistent in pillowy soft-to-rock hard textured) cornbread! And then came that fateful day when we visited Rohan Group's newly reopened Boston Market on Maple Road... ...the horror... To start off, the employees were scrambling all over the place inside. Dad even saw one employee (with gloves on, at least) digging his hands into some chicken and eating it, multiple times. The employee was in full view of the customers that were ordering. It took about five minutes for the employees to even acknowledge us for an order. Not because they were hiding in the back. They fully saw us. They were just fidgeting around with slowly fulfilling other orders while consistently ignoring us. An employee tried three times to reach into the glass case to pick up a hot metal tray of creamed spinach, without any gloves on to protect her from potential burns. The menu and side items looked a little different through the (smaller) glass case, but at first I thought it would be fine, as long as the food tasted the same as it used to when Sun Capital owned it. After ordering, we found out only after paying for my drink that the soda fountain was down, and that we needed to get our drinks via pre-packaged cans and bottles in the freezer up front. This was not only awkward, but now, I was limited to one small bottle of soda with my meal instead of unlimited refills of soda. The food came packaged in this sketchy-looking plastic take-out case, instead of the food being on plates as we were used to, but fine. As long as the food was still the same quality, I'd be fine paying $22 for my 12 oz soda and my take-out case filled with food. Oh, God...I have to talk about the food now... Remember when I said that Sun Capital's Boston Market used to make the chicken taste so good and unique (which was the main reason we came back to eat there)? Well, not any more! The rotisserie chicken, the main star attraction of the place, now tastes like a generic Tops Market rotisserie chicken that you can buy for like $6. And what baffles me even more than the change in taste is that you're still paying as premium of a price for your chicken at Boston Market now as you were back when Sun Capital owned it! Gotta love that post-Covid inflation pricing! Sun Capital's Boston Market was already expensive enough, but at least you knew you were paying for quality. And this isn't quality. The sweet potatoes were liquidy and had waaaay too much sugar and cinnamon in them. Stupid Yelp character limit!!! Parts 2 & 3 of the review can be seen via the attached pictures.

Went to the re-opened Boston Market -Maple Rd- tonite. Not too busy, but not sure the re-opening is…read morewell known. Staff is pleasant enough, service is good. Food isn't bad, not as good as I remember, but pretty good. Owner needs to bring in some personall that remember how Boston Market used to be run. Just need to give it some time. I'll be back again ( fix that leak)
