I just moved into a no laundry building and was really dreading doing laundry but I had such a positive experience with Jin Jin Laundry! The clothes were returned in a plastic bag liner inside my hamper so the clothes stayed clean and the bag was very compact/easy to carry. There were no missing clothes and no damage. My clothes smelled very good and were grouped so all similar clothes were together and socks were paired. It ended up saving me so much time with putting away laundry because everything was so organized. In total, I probably spent less than 10 min on laundry between dropping and pick up the clothes myself and putting the clothes away. The price is also very worth it as well as the free pickup/delivery (~20lb of laundry was $23). Will definitely be going back! read more

WARNING!!! READ EVERYTHING!!! This place lost my $500 designer Blazer. I brought clothes to get washed, they lost a couple of my favorite pricey shirts. The workers did not even have the decency to reimburse me for the jacket nor a fraction of the lost shirts. They simply replied to me if I'm sure it's not home and to check again triple times. They kept repeating themselves. They're japanese and couldn't speak well in english. The ethical way to handle business is by reimbursing the customer if they made a huge error. It's unprofessional for the owner to aggressively yell or blame the customer. Even the neighbors heard the altercation, one of them told me this has happened before. The owner is simply nasty and doesn't care. I commend you all to get your service done elsewhere. You may have gotten lucky once or more but one day this can happen to you too!! read more

Tried this place for the first time the other day. Gave them 20 lbs of laundry and my own detergent to use. I got the clothes back the next day, however they clearly did not use my detergent as it did not go down at all in the bottle. The clothes did not smell clean either with white deodorant still on most of my clothes. It smelled like they put it in the machine but forgot to add soap. Will not be coming back here. read more

We recently moved to the UES and erroneously picked a few local laundromats around the corner. Each time we were very disappointed and the clothes either didn't smell clean or had way too much fabric softener. Since then, we researched yelp and came across Jin Jin. They do free pick up and drop off. The clothes are often returned same day with a refreshing clean smell and good folding. They also organize items together, such as underwear with underwear, etc. (you would be shocked how atypical that is). Best part is that they are relatively reasonable even with tip for city prices. Was charged for shirts that were not dry cleaned and my comforter and pillow covers came back dirtier then when they left. I will definitely NOT be using this service again. It is a cheap option but will end up costing you more money to replace your clothes than paying for a better service upfront. read more

I have never left a yelp review before, but I just need to warn some people here that might be considering using this service. I recently moved to the neighborhood, and decided to try this place out. I had wash and fold service done, and when my clothes came back, it was an absolute mess. There was clear yellow stain on my Levis t shirt, and All of my black laundry had this strange dotted bleach mark on them. So I immediately took them back to the cleaner, and they said they "Do not use bleach" and told me when I dropped my laundry off, it already looked like that. I knew they were lying immediately, because there is no way I would take such damaged piece of clothing to wash and fold. They told me it was my fault and they will take no responsibility for it. (This was my very first time) Reimbursement aside, it was just so rude, how they refused to apologize ruining some of my favorite shirts / jeans. I was planning on becoming a regular here, but they just lost a customer. read more

My clothes are always done on time and their price per pound of laundry is great. Only .90 cents I believe. The employees are super friendly and efficient. I love this place, and take my laundry to them every other week. They do a fantastic job and deliver folded in great shape with organization, so its easy for me to put away. I have also been taking them my dry cleaning and tailoring, and they have done a great job hemming pants and cleaning my suits for special occasions. I went to probably 5-6 places in the neighborhood with terrible results before come to these guys and I will never turn back. I've used this cleaners twice now and that would be the end of it. The first time they weighed my laundry at 31lbs, which seemed slightly on the higher side but I didn't look into it any further. The second time, they came back with a 24lbs bill which I couldn't believe, I used my weighing scale and sure enough it was a tad under 20lbs. I'm sure this isn't the first time they've done this, if you decide to use this place, have a scale at home. I called them and told them that I was charged extra for 4lbs, the Asian lady didn't flinch and told me she'll send the guy over, I'm still waiting and I guess he ain't coming! I can't believe how low people stoop to make a few extra $$, such a shame! read more

I've been living in Manhattan for over ten years and have gone through my share of dry cleaners and tailor services. This was the WORST experience I have ever had! They ruined a $700 dress and then proceeded to argue with me that it wasn't ruined at all. To make things worse they didn't even give me a discount for the HORRIBLE job they did. I've been going to Jin Jin since I moved to the city, and I have nothing bad to say about it. They always do my laundry quickly (usually can get it back in one day) and it is clean and well folded. I have had a few items dry cleaned too, and have been pleased with how they turn out. I have not used their tailor services yet, but I will certainly be going when I need to! read more
