Wow, really impressed! Found Jin Sushi through Yelp and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is small and cozy, but with a bright, authentic Japanese feel to it. My sister and I ordered four rolls (kiwi lobster, crunch tuna sashimi, supreme dynamite, and hawaiian special) and they were all delicious! Such unique flavors and textures that I'll probably be dreaming of tonight. Portions aren't too big, but they were brought out promptly and the prices are very fair. Almost all of the full rolls are less than $12! A roll with lobster for $11? Yes, please! As other Yelp users have said, the owner is so sweet and adorable that she made our experience even better. I cannot say enough good things about Jin Sushi. I have been going to this location for years and it is always delicious. The service is great and the restaurant is clean and comfy. Let me preface this review by stating I am not one of those people who is rude to waitstaff at restaurants or is even particularly picky when going out to eat. That said I have never seen a dumber service model at a restaurant and I would honestly never eat in here again and I do not understand why anyone does. We arrived at 8 pm and the place was full (about 5 tables ). Within a few minutes the bar was full with 4 people and everyone got their order taken by the lone waiter before us. We didn't get our order taken until 8:30 and it took another 10 minutes after that to even get water. Water! We ordered a cooked dish for the kids and sushi rolls for us. It's now 9:15 and our rolls haven't arrived and the kids are done eating. And you know how slowly kids eat. The waiter has not been by once to apologize or offer us an ETA on our dinner or anything. The food looks good from what I can see and my kids enjoyed the pad Thai but there is no way in hell I would ever come back here. ETA: when our food eventually arrived the waiter did apologize for the wait saying that the kitchen was backed up. However we never saw him again. He didn't clear our kids plates or ask how the food was or fill up our water glasses (which were all empty). We had to flag him down for the check too. I honestly do not get the stellar reviews here. This is place is so under-rated. I've been dining here for the past 5 years. A small sushi restaurant on the edge of a strip mall that is sure to please. One thing I admire about this place is the uniqueness of their sushi menu. I've had rolls here that I've never seen or heard of before. I swear I feel like they know exactly what I want in a sushi roll. My favs include the American Dream, Surprise, Volcano, and the Supreme Dynamite. I also get the spicy seafood soup if I'm feeling alittle under the weather. The staff is friendly and over the years we've established a good relationship with them. Great people and great food. I yelped a random sushi place because I was craving sushi near my house. This place fulfilled my craving. There were two people working and it got very busy at times, I wish there was maybe one other person working the front. They worked diligently though and I appreciated them. I ordered hot tea and a spicy shrimp tempura roll and a dragon roll. Both were delicious. The tea had a chalky weird after taste. We received our checks promptly and were asked multiple times if we were doing okay. I was very pleased with the food. I will definitely be coming back here for some quick light sushi. read more

It was wonderful in the beginning, but it's gone downhill since the original owners left....Totally overpriced for bland, inauthentic, skimpily portioned food. Every so often I give them another shot...so we ordered tonight after seeing them listed as a Yelp delivery option for the first time. We ordered tempura calamari appetizer (overcooked, no tempura sauce included), shrimp pad thai (small portion, made with tiny salad-sized shrimp @ $13.95), the smallest, blandest Futomaki roll I've ever eaten ($10.95), and a double eel roll ($14.95!) that was also very small, made with very thin slices of eel - plus they substituted fake crab for the conch listed in the menu with no notification or price adjustment. We have been known to order only a tempura cheesecake for pick up and drive 10-15 minutes to go get it because there are no other restaurants around who have this delicious dessert. They also introduced us to mochi ice cream, which is equally delicious. Recently we went to pick up a tempura cheesecake and decided to eat in after noticing bulgogi (Korean marinated barbecue beef) on the menu. The meat was so tender and the sauce was sweeter than others we have tried, but we enjoyed it much more this way. It came with a salad that had a twist to the traditional ginger dressing on Asian salads. I couldn't quite figure out what it was but it was very good. The staff is very friendly and the sushi is absolutely amazing. I love the tropical sushi, which has tuna, cucumber, avocado, cream cheese and mangos on top with their tropical sauce. It has such a sweet taste it and I get it all the time. Their JB Tempura rolls are also the bomb diggity. I love this place. The couple that runs it are so sweet and I've been going here once every week or two for two years, and they make you feel like a truly valued customer because they remember you and your tastes perfectly. On top of that, the food is spectacular. I get mostly beef and chicken dishes, and the teriyaki is divine. As for sushi, I don't eat it, but everyone I've brought here who has had some LOVES it. We can watch the gentleman make it from our table, granted the place is small, and he's so diligent and skilled. We have visited multiple establishments nearby, but this is truly a find to remember :) When I called for delivery on a Friday night, a polite woman accurately took my order. We chose their 3 fruit rolls: the tropical special roll, kiwi lobster roll, and Hawaiian special roll. All were very fresh, delicious, and extremely reasonable. The sign in Red only says SUSHI and from the exterior you wouldn't expect it to be so clean and neat on the inside. I came in at 2:20 and apparently they close from 2:30 -5:00pm ; Monday-Friday to prepare for dinner although they are NOT a buffet. I decided to take my order to go although I was skeptical I've never had sushi to go ...IT WAS BOMB! I had alight lunch I ordered the crunchy tuna and the vegetable tempura. Came here on a Thursday night around 7 with a group of friends. FOOD- I strongly recommend ordering any of the sushi rolls with fruit on it. I had the Kiwi Lobster roll and it was fantastic! The gf and I have eaten our fair share of sushi, and this was definitely up there in ranking. Not too sweet, it was just perfect. Nothing really stood out with the other rolls. The rolls are a bit on the smaller side, but the prices are very cheap. SERVICE- The waitress was extremely friendly and nice. When we first sat down, only one other table was in the restaurant. Within a few minutes the entire restaurant was full. She was the only waitress and there was only one sushi chef. It took close to 30 minutes for our rolls to come out. ENVIROMENT- Your basic strip mall sushi place. Plenty of parking. Outdated decor. OVERALL- Four stars. Only because the Kiwi Lobster roll was that good!!!! read more

Seeing all the glowing reviews on Yelp about this place, I was very intrigued. A great place for sushi takeout practically under my nose? How could I have missed it?! So I went over one day to investigate and grab some takeout for lunch. On first glance, the restaurant is small but clean and decorated with Japanese influences. I called ahead with my order and arrived 15 min later, but it still wasn't ready. The lady behind the counter was nice enough about it, but considering the restaurant was empty, it seemed a little weird that my order wasn't ready. I ordered the lunch special ($10) which consists of two special rolls and soup or salad. I chose the salad and tuna and dynamite roll. The salad was bland, and consisted solely of some sad lettuce and few pathetic shavings of carrot to top it off. The tuna roll was skimpy, with hardly any tuna, and the dynamite roll was poorly constructed, as practically every piece fell apart the second I picked it up. To add insult to injury, the dynamite roll tasted funny - and not funny ha-ha, either. I love dynamite rolls and get them often, but the white fish tasted weird and the roll was drowning in eel sauce (since when does eel sauce go on a dynamite roll?! But I digress). Furthermore, the eel sauce tasted funny - like that artificial or old taste. Either way, the roll was no bueno and I ended up leaving it. Honestly, for the money I spent I would have been way better off at a sushi buffet like Koizumi or Shinju or even another sushi place with less funky tasting and better made rolls. All in all, Jin sushi left me feeling kind of grossed out and ripped off - certainly not amazed by the wonder of their rolls. What restaurant are all these other Yelpers going to? I just don't get all the stellar reviews for this place. It's not that it's horrible, but there is absolutely nothing special at all about this place. It doesn't have a great atmosphere. It's just another strip-mall sushi joint that are ridiculously plentiful in South Florida. The decor is older and probably could stand some updating. The food was also nothing special. We ordered the sushi/sashimi dinner for two. We received the standard salmon, tuna, and escolar mix that you would get an any other strip-mall sushi joint. It was just okay. That salmon was good, but the tuna and escolar is tasteless. Ultimately, this wasn't worth the drive. We passed at least half a dozen strip-mall sushi places on our way to this place. We could have stopped at any of them and experience the exact same meal for the same price (and the decor would have probably be better). read more
