I hesitated to dine here because I wasn't sure what to think when their name seemed a little juvenile and possibly a copyright infringement but they are the real deal. They serve boba teas, milk teas and a variety of other drinks as well as food. I like the customization of pick your base, pick you protein and then toppings and sauce. The menu had some good choices and everything smelled good The decision to order a few appetizers or a Poke Bowl was a tough choice. I went with Teriyaki Chicken Bowl which was a decent portion and I was able to add on about 10 toppings that were no extra charge. I came here a little bit ago and I have to say that I forgot all about this place enough that I even forgot to write a review about it. But I might as well write one now so people can see it and know how my experience was. The staff was very basic and when I walked inside I wasn't greeted or anything but all I was told was I could order at a touch screen near the front which I did. Me and my wife ordered a couple of boba cheese and we sat down and waited while it was made. Once the drinks were finally made they were put on the counter but no one called out our name so we sat there for a few minutes wondering if that was our drink until we had to get up ourselves and get them. The place has some funny posters on the wall and some nice decorations of Pokemon and other animes shows but honestly nothing really flowed well and everything seems to be just thrown on the walls so they could have decorations. The drinks were very basic and even with 25% Sweetness in mine it was very over the top sweet and I ended up only drinking half of it before I threw it away. The Boba itself was a little too chewy as if it was sitting there for a while. A very basic Boba place that I have read some very mediocre reviews about and I have to agree on fortunately. I definitely don't think I will be coming back here again which is a shame because it is kind of close to me but the staff, prices and overall Place didn't appeal to me enough to make me want to be a repeat customer. read more

PokeMan is a decent ramen and Poke spot located in an unassuming location in the heart of Plantation. On this visit we got both the Shrimp and Crab Meat Bowl along with the Tokasu Ramen and tried two varieties of tea. First the Shrimp and Crab Bowl. It was a typical Poke bowl consisting of shrimp, crab meat, edamame, seaweed salad, avocado, and white rice drizzled with eel and yum yum sauce. It tasted pretty good, but not outstanding. The Takasu ramen on the other hand, was really good. A hearty but not over powering broth with seaweed sheets, a soft boiled egg, and pork. I would definitely get this again. The milk teas were good. No complaints here. The service was solid, but the problem lies in the size of the restaurant. There's only room for one or two staff to prepare the food at any given time. We came in during lunch, and waited 25-30 mins to get our food. The seating area is exceptionally small as well. I would not bring any parties larger than 4 to dine in. I will mention, just because it came up on the news literally the day after we visited... but they had some pretty significant health code violations that caused them to temporarily close. I am basing my review based on my experience alone, but the health violations are worth noting. read more

By coincidence decide to give this spot a try. It's located on the corner end of a large plaza. Seemingly sufficient parking. The decor is like a sticker and poster anime explosion. Very colorful to say the least. A few dine-in tables. Service was welcoming, friendly and helpful. They also have a kiosk where you can place you order. Unfortunately the tea fell short in taste and texture. It had an artificial taste and the texture was thicker than I'm use to. The truffle fries are just regular fries with spray on truffle oil and jarred parmesan sprinkled on top. Overall impression...forgettable. read more

Went here with some pretty good expectations judging from what I saw on yelp. Unfortunately, I was severely let down because this restaurant is so severely understaffed and could not handle the giant wave of people that were coming in, thanks to several influencers posting about this place. Since they were so short staffed, there were blatant food service issues that I noticed. I did not see people washing their hands, items were stored on the floor, bare hands were used for scooping ingredients, etc. Thankfully my party, and I only got bubble teas, but we will not be going back here again. I was really excited to try this place being a big Pokémon fan. There are several teas to try but I went with the Red eye rabbit which was a strawberry tea with white cream. The signs mention that they are understaffed and there will be a wait be prepared for that. It was hard to enjoy my drink in there knowing that the staff was drowning in orders with a line leading out the door. Overall the flavors were good but nothing out of this world. I was a little disappointed in the ramen. There was not enough broth in my bowl which is a big part of the ramen. The toppings were also very ordinary as well as the quality of the noodles and I found an eggshell in it. I think the biggest disappointment was the service. We sat outside trying to enjoy the cold weather and they did bring the tea out which was good but we waited a long time for the ramen to later learn it was ready for a while inside. They didn't have to take it out to us but would have been nice if at least they would have popped out let us know it was ready at some point. It became busy during our wait so not sure if that had an impact but with all the factors it was just not to my satisfaction. Don't come here if you're looking for any kind of experience as it's clearly a repurposed Subway with anime posters on the wall. There is very little effort give to the aesthetic and the anime veneer appears to be a gimmick to draw customers and not a genuine passion from the staff who appear disinterested. Wait time is also an issue as I've ordered from this place twice with very long wait time, even if the place was empty. It's also very hot in the place with only a few working fans. However, the food is really delicious! The Poke, the ramen and the bao buns are all above average and consistent. Found this by coincidence and I was glad. I was craving a Boba tea and I was glad I did go in as they serve besides teas and appetizers they also serve Ramen so I had dinner as well. I had the Tokasu Ramen with beef and shrimp and was not disappointed it was tasty and full of protein. The mango green tea with mango boba and lychee jelly were awesome and I get to choose the level of sweetness which is always a plus. The ambiance it lively as the have many cool decorations and anime figurines all over as well as many board games and a Pokémon machine to play claw style. Don't come here for a quick bite to eat. It may look like a subway, but it took them nearly and hour to get my friends and I our food and drinks. We all only ordered one thing each. They had a few Pokémon themed machines you could play with if they are working. All but one wasn't working when we were there. I wanted to play the machine that was working which seemed to be a Pokémon plushies claw machine but it only took quarters. I took a dollar up to the cash register and asked the woman if I could get some change for the machine and she said "of course!" Then, another older woman quickly came up behind her and slammed the cash register shut and said "we don't give out change." And the woman I initially spoke with was like "oh..." then looked at me and apologized. I thought this was odd because I told them I was putting it in their machine... they were getting the money back? It just didn't make sense to me. This is such a cute and unique space. I really enjoy the decor I had the following: The salmon Poke bowl with spicy mayo - 8/10. I was impressed by the quality. The poke was really good. I wish I had the chance to decide what goes on the bowl while it was being made. It was still very tasty The taro tea - 6/10. This was creamy. I felt it was too sweet for me. I absolutely love this place. I have been looking for a good Boba and poke place in plantation, and this hits the nail on the head for both. The service is extremely friendly from when you walk in the door they greet you with a smile and a hearty hello. The entire place is decorated with Japanese inspired and anime toys collectibles, decor, snacks for purchase and more. The ambience feels authentic and genuine even though it's built on what used to be an old Subway and you can feel the subway vibes still in there. My best recommendation is to get the coconut taro smoothie with black Boba, 10 out of 10. The poke is also extremely fresh with the fish tasting fresh out the water. They give an ample amount of food for the price and they offer unlimited toppings. I also tried some of the Japanese snacks that I have never had before, the honey butter chips are amazing. I love coming here for a snack after work, and it's also right next-door to a taco place. I like to go to so I will often walk over for the Boba Smoothie as a desert. I have been to the sister location in Pembroke Pines, bobaman, many times, and although they don't have the same variety at that location the branding is the same and you can tell that they are affiliated. A very cutely decorated Pokémon theme. I got a little confused because after the grand opening the names of some of menu items changed and some of the branding is off. Apparently Bobaman is there sister store and they Have bobaman stuff in the store. I've tried the poke and the ramen, and they were alright, but not the best in the area (in my opinion). The drinks are great tho and they do give you the option to customize. My favorite drink is the pikachu which has been renamed to Dragon balls but now has popping boba instead of regular , but when I ask for the pikachu, they give it to me correctly. Despite it seemingly looking like it was a subway restaurant previously. The Pokémon themed restaurant was pretty cool with what they added to it. There is decor on the walls, tables, posters all over as well as a fake grass accent on the wall which was pretty cool. This place serves mainly poke bowls, ramen as well as bubble tea. For my venture I went with the Charmander bubble tea as they have about 6 Pokémon themed bubble teas which was pretty creative with the colors tying in to the characters themselves. The flavor was great and the boba despite being smaller than the usual, it held its flavor and was delicious as well. Be sure to get their rewards card to redeem a free bubble tea on I believe is your 10th purchase of bubble tea. Be sure to check this place out, the staff is really friendly and it would be a great spot to have the family go to and enjoy based on the theme. Saw the good rating, and who isn't nostalgic for Pokémon? Instant regret! Pretty sure all the good reviews they get are cause they give you a free drink if you post a review to Google. Who is going to give less than 5 starts for a freebie? Either way, you couldn't pay me to come back here. Anyway, I went here with my boyfriend and since we brought our dog we went in one at a time to order. I get a Charmander bubble tea, a build your own poke bowl, and chicken dumplings. I pay and switch places with my boyfriend. He orders and comes back out already with drink in hand. I go back in and ask if I can get my boba while I wait for my food. The lady was like "you didn't get your boba?" Looks around all confused. Then reiterate my order since I was never given an order number. They tell me they're making my order now. My boyfriend order was finished so I brought it out to him. I finally get my boba from the lady who puts it on the counter and didn't say a word to me. The guy gives me my poke bowl and I asked him about the dumplings I ordered. His response wS "you didn't get your dumpli" goes and talks to another person and comes back "she said you already got your dumplings" I told him I didn't, I've been waiting for each part of my order inside. He apologizes and says it will be a few minutes. I finally get the dumplings and go outside to eat. The Chrmander boba was ok, very sweet which was to be expected. The poke was just disappointing. I had heard them say somthing about getting the mango out of the microwave so my hopes weren't high. They microwave thawed frozen mango so they were nasty mush and put it in the poke bowl. The pineapple was canned so overly sweet. Everything else was just meh. My boyfriend dropped a piece of his salmon on the floor and the dog wouldn't even touch it! Needless to say I ended up throwing out most of my poke bowl, and the chicken dumplings just tasted horrible... if I wanted frozen microwave dumplings I would have got some at the grocery store! I got this place Uber Ear's to me last night and I was was pleasantly delighted. We got the Taro Boba Milk Tea's (my boyfriend thought it was DELICIOUS) -he's a picky boba drinker.
