She's extremely knowledgeable about different lens options and her glasses and contacts are priced very competitively. Best of all, she has flexible hours, including Sunday availability, which is almost unheard of among eye care professionals in the area. On a special note, Dr. Cai has more advanced training than typical optometrists and can perform specialized procedures like lens dilation exams that are usually done only by more expensive ophthalmologists. In case you don't have insurance or have to pay out of pocket, Dr. Cai is a much better value than an ophthalmologist is. My only regret? I didn't find Dr. Cai earlier! read more

My husband referred me to Dr. Cai. I don't wear glasses but I needed an eye exam. The office is small but clean and comfortable. She does not overbook appointments which is great. This means you will be seen on time and she will take her time to address your issues rather than rush you out the door. There was only one person in the office at the time of my arrival. She was assisting the patient in making some calls to their insurance company to resolve an issue. This allowed me to see how she treats her patients first hand before officially meeting her. Shes a young doctor but very knowledgeable and friendly. I was in and out of the office in no time with a good bill of health for my eyes. I will definitely return to see her again if I have any more concerns. My husband and children also really like her. i went to see Dr. Cai based on reading the reviews on line, and i was completely satisfied and thankful that i made the right choice. This is my annual eye exam, Dr. Cai was very thorough and very informative, As i may put it, she know what shes doing. This is by appointment only, which is also good, as she will take time to examine your eye and explain what you need. i got a pair of reading glasses that also include my astigmatism. I needed to find new eye doctor in my area that was also an approved DMV provider. I came across Dr. Cai in my health insurance provider's network. There were only a few reviews, but all were highly positive. I used Yelp to see what fellow yelpers thought and wow! I set up my appointment on a Saturday afternoon, with Sunday as an option if I needed it. Dr. Cai happened to book the appointment for me herself as her assistant was out when I called. To my surprise, she was able to see me on two day's notice. When I went for my appointment, Dr. Cai was just as nice as advertised and I was sure to tell her so. She was quite grateful for the compliment and for the support she receives from Yelp, though she is not overly interested in paying for promotion (and doesn't seem to need it). Very patient, considerate and great service! I was in waiting room and personally witnessed how well Dr. Cai dealt with an very elderly patient who is hard of hearing and Dr. Cai had to talk very loudly and repeatedly without getting frustrated. The elderly lady asked the same questions about 3-4 times and Dr. Cai answer her questions time and time ago until the elderly lady was able to hear her. At end of the exam, she even help the elderly lady out of the chair and escorted out of the room since the elderly lady needed help getting around the room. Dr. Cai also asked her assistant/front desk to bring the frames for elderly patient to try out instead of having the patient getting up. Kids seems to love her too, she greeted all the kids by name and they spoke to Dr. Cai as if they are talking to a friend, not at all afraid like I was when I was going to Doctor's offices when I was a kid. When it was my time for my exam, she even apologized taking longer with the other patient and sorry for the wait and her speaking so loudly before. Her voice was even a bit hoarse probably due to all the shouting she had to do with the elderly patient. She explained things very nicely and thoroughly, at the end of the exam, she gave me time to ask questions and answered each my questions. Broke my glasses last night and somehow managed to mess up my spare glasses. Was hoping to see if Dr Cai could help me with a new pair. Unfortunately, I found out that she doesn't accept my insurance (not her fault, as my insurance provider doesn't want to take in new providers). But still, she went out of her way to help fix up my spare glasses so that I have a pair to work with. Thank you very much Dr Cai. I've been going to Dr. Jing Cai for a while now. She's very professional and patient. She explains and answers any questions you may have. Her office is very clean (which I personally love) and her machines look new and up-to-date. I've gotten both frames and contacts from her before. She didn't carry the frames I wanted in her store however, she was able to order it for me and I got them in like a week! Yelpers are right to say Dr. Cai is a sweetheart. She explains everything carefully and chats you up so you're comfortable. When she dilated my eyes, she made sure to check I had a ride and sunglasses beforehand. When I expressed my concerns about blurriness and worsening vision, she made sure to do all the necessary tests to diagnose that it was nothing serious. Then she was super patient throughout the frames selection process. It's summer at the time of writing this and her receptionist was on vacation but she did well juggling 2 patients at a time. She also gave some helpful tips for maintaining my eye health after, which is strangely absent from my previous doctors' visits to other practices. I went to see her because my son was having a minor problem with his eye and I just wanted to see if there was a cause. This was our first time there and immediately I liked that parking on the block was a breeze. She has a nice waiting room and office, nothing amazing. But during the checkup I found her to be super friendly and accommodating. She talks to you as if she was already a close friend! She found nothing remarkable about my son's eye, so we were relieved. Not sure that I want to go to this Doctor again. I always feel pushed to the side. I made an appointment with her and a text was sent and I confirmed. I get to her office and a family is sitting there. They did not confirm their appointment. She saw them ahead of me. The family even said what about this gentleman here (referring to me) and the Dr said oh, don't worry about him, he will be here for a while. This is the second time this has happened to me there , she apologized at the end for giving my appointment to them, but this happens too often. She seems to prioritize Asians over others. read more

My experience with Dr. Cai was amazing. She is extremely nice and knowledgable. She explained everything step by step in addition to answering all my questions. Other eye doctors try to rush you out as soon as possible but Dr. Cai took her time and made me feel really comfortable. Outside of great service provided by Dr. Cai, the prices are unbeatable. I don't have eye insurance and it only cost me $80 to get an eye exam , prescription for glasses as well as contacts, and a trial pair of contacts. Great price and even greater service.
