They have some system of ordering on your phone instead of having a server take your order. Either I am too old fashioned or it was too cumbersome. I like human interaction and I don't want to be on my phone while out to dine. Otherwise this is a good casual sushi place. We do take out here a lot but once in a while feel like dining in. This review is about a month overdue, but it's well deserved. Macayla was absolutely fabulous -- truly the kind of first impression every guest should have. She patiently walked us through the dining flow on our first visit, all with a warm smile and zero rush. She anticipated needs, made great suggestions, and made us feel genuinely welcome from start to finish. There was another person at the front who seemed disengaged and asleep, which made Macayla's professionalism stand out even more. The food was delicious, and the souvenir cups were a fun bonus -- hot or cold, they still hold up today! We'd happily return for the freshly made hand rolls and that Thai iced tea alone. Disclaimer: I only eat cooked sushi and my experience isn't as vast as many other sushi aficionados. That being said, we ordered spicy crab roll, shrimp tempura roll and steamed gyoza. My coworker and I ordered together but we sit in different offices. This is important for later. The sushi was very warm. Not sure if the rice and/or tempura was rolled too soon after cooking. Just didn't make a pleasurable experience. The cuts were weird too. The two ends were barely rolled. The gyoza was good, loved the sauce. I was disappointed overall. My coworker who ordered with me, walked to my office and peeked in and said her spicy crab rolls weren't good. She didn't give details. She said she has had better. The food was plated gorgeously and the taste was great, but what I had a problem with is that the Shrimp wasn't Cleaned Properly! There were still shells on the shrimp INSIDE the sushi roll. My family has been in the restaurant business for over 45 years and in Any cuisine, you Should clean the shrimp and if you consume the shells, it could get stuck in my throat or cut the insides of my intestines. This is a choking hazard and also the shells should be Discarded for cleaning the bacteria out before anyone eats the food. It is Food for Thought. Otherwise, our Date night went great. read more

The waiter was stacking soy sauce containers out in the front barely paid attention to us until I greeted him. He quickly seated us, gave us menus, and walked away. My bf and I shared 4 appetizers (tempura, seaweed salad, garden salad, and gyoza), 4 rolls of sushi (Shogun, Out of Control, Angel, and a roll with peppered tuna on top), and tea. No one really checked up on us throughout our meal and the food we got was super underwhelming and didn't taste fresh. Our bill came out to $134 and change...I frequently dine out in NYC and my bill was never that high for the same amount of food. The positive of Jing's is that the ambiance is nice. Finally a close/local sushi spot...my go-to spot is about a 40-45 minute round trip, so this is perfect being a 15-20 minute trip...oh and the sushi is Great! We have ordered twice now from them and everything has been fresh, well-preserved, and delicious. I LOVE the create your own roll option and did that tonight: spicy crab, smoked salmon, white tuna, and green onion, topped with tobiko, eel sauce, and spicy mayo! Great portions and fresh sashimi. Had some Ikura(salmon roe), octopus, smoked salmon,and white tuna. Wife loves the tempura shrimp roll with avocado. They also have the great ordering online option of adding soy paper, which is excellent since she hates seaweed. My kids love the edamame and it's a nice sized portion for us and them to share. When you order a certain amount they throw in a bubble tea and also coupons for next visit. I wish we could go in, sit down, and enjoy ourselves there, but for now I'll just enjoy their great service and fresh sushi. Loving my new, close, excellent sushi spot! I really miss the quality of sushi you get used to in places like NYC, Jersey City, and Philadelphia. I've tried many sushi places near my home and even traveled 30 minutes away to find more average quality sushi. Don't get me wrong I do like to go to the AYCE sushi joints and definitely have some favorites but again, what you get is average quality food with a surprise here and there. I noticed a glowing review for a new restaurant named Jing's sushi house and decided to give them a shot on New Year's Eve. I decided to play it relatively safe and order some basic maki rolls, and a sushi and sashimi lunch special. I used their online ordering option on their website and it was very simple to enter my order and schedule a pickup time. Note that Jing's is only offering takeout due to Covid. I received a call an hour before my pickup time to confirm my order and scheduled time. When I arrived, I was greeted by friendly folks whom I am certain were smiling under their masks. They handed me my order and offered me a free bubble tea...any flavor. I chose mango. It was delicious. When I arrived home I opened up the giant cake box my order was handed to me in. At first look I knew we were in for a treat. The fish color was just perfect. The rice on the rolls was not overloaded like many of the local places do. The sashimi was bright and cut so thick each piece looked like it could have been cut into 3 or 4. I placed the order on a platter and my family and I indulged. It was absolutely delicious. Every piece loaded with flavor and melted in my mouth. Alas I have found a somewhat local place that has that big city sushi quality I missed so much. And on top of all that the prices are insanely reasonable. I mean where else do you get any 2 high quality maki rolls for a $7.25 lunch special? They also offer brown rice for an additional $1 (another option I haven't seen locally) I'll be back soon to try some of their other offerings and special rolls. read more

I want to start by saying that the food is good, and I have been patronizing this restaurant for a very long time at this point. Until now, I have never had a negative experience. Today, however, I tried ordering ahead through their website like usual and it kept rejecting my order. I tried 13 times before I gave up and called to report the problem. The woman who answered was apologetic and tried to help, but the man who took the phone from her kept defending the online ordering system even as I tried to explain that it was not working, kept interrupting me, and when I tried to explain that I wanted to order ahead instead of receiving my food now, he hung up on me. As I said, I have been a loyal customer for a long time now, ordering at least once a week. If this is how they react when loyal customers let them know their system has a problem, I don't know that I want to stay loyal to them. read more

My new favorite sushi spot! I've gotten takeout here three times so far, and each time they've never failed to go beyond my expectations. I ordered spicy scallop and spicy white tuna maki rolls for my first time, and the fish to rice ratio was amazing. The rolls were so big, the ginger and wasabi had to be served in separate containers, but nothing to complain about! For my second trip, I ordered some veggie maki rolls: sweet potato tempura, cucumber avocado, and mango and avocado. They were all delicious too. My most recent trip I ordered the sushi lunch special, as I wanted something different. I was given four beautiful pieces of nigiri and sashimi along with a salmon, avocado & cucumber roll. My wife and I used to come to Jing occasionally to dine in. We haven't been to Jing in months and decided to have dinner. They used to have waiters/waitresses, plates, silverware, glasses for drinks, etc. The sushi was ok, would never go out of our way to go to Jing. Now however, you do not have waiter/waitress for dine in, you are seated and then told you have to walk up to the front to place your order. Our miso soup was brought out in a take out bowl that was freshly microwaved, our sushi was brought out in take out containers and not plated as it used to be, the boba tea was served to us with crusty, dirty lids that we did not drink out of, and the sushi was absolutely horrific and rotten. One roll we ordered said "real crab meat" and it tasted like canned tuna. We regularly go to Masa sushi In Princeton and if you need a good place to go to that's not too far from Jing, spend your money there. read more

I sent an email complaint and have not gotten a response. Here was my experience: I just picked up take out and ordered an angel roll. Harbor maki roll and spicy crab salad. There was no wasabi, ginger or soy sauce included in my order which came up to $44. Each roll was $5 more than the price listed on the online Yelp menu. The harbor maki roll was unfortunately not edible and was just covered in the crunch seasoning and did not taste good at all. I was very disappointed with my food. I was very disappointed with my dinner at this restaurant and especially their manager. I ordered a Jings spicy shrimp dinner and the shrimp had very thick doughy breading on it and came out with sweet and sour sauce (nothing spicy about it and the menu did not indicate the shrimp would be breaded at all). There were very few pictures of menu items on the laminated menu and none on the site you have to order on. (Jing's insist you order on your phone by scanning QR code, even if you ask if you could just give order to a server (which would allow an opportunity to ask questions about menu or need suggestions). When my order came out of the kitchen a woman working there took 10 pictures of it with her cell phone of my plate and had the phone too close to the food. I was thinking she probably takes that phone in the bathroom and never sanitizes it. I took the breading off the shrimp and tried to eat some since my husband was already eating. The Manager came by and saw I was taking all the breading off shrimp but did not ask if anything was wrong. When I asked if he could adjust our bill because of the breading and fact that I only ate some of it he yelled and asked me "why you order if you didn't want breaded shrimp". I explained the menu did not say it was breaded, but he did nothing to make things better and was extremely rude and disrespectful and asked if I was rich because I gave him the leftovers to throw away. Did a quick search for sushi near me and found this place. The restaurant was clean and hand sanitizer was available. The service was awesome which makes this place a winner already. The Philly Roll and Spicy Tuna sushis were pretty good. However, the regular shrimp tempura was bland, no seasoning at all. The pork gyoza was delish. The teriyaki chicken and beef was tasty as well. Overall i'd recommend this place. The atmosphere was cool. Please note that the dinning area is much smaller than it looks online. read more

Chicken tasted frozen, teriyaki sauce was watery and flavorless, the roll I got was supposed to be cooked but it wasn't, it said on the description that had spicy mayo and it just came with regular mayo. We decided to pick up takeout from Jing since they had some really good reviews. I had been craving sushi for a few weeks, and boy am I glad we stopped in. They allow you to order ahead online with the option to pay with cash or card when you pick up. There was no pay ahead option. We got 4 philadelphia rolls (obviously we like those lol), a red dragon roll, tuna sashimi, and some crab rangoons. Our order was ready for pickup within 25 mins. When I went in, everyone was super friendly and they were giving out free bubble tea that day also! The food was great! The crab rangoons were delicious but not too heavy. A of the sushi was fresh, and our cat agreed as he absconded with some tuna sashimi from our plates. We'll definitely be coming back! read more

Finally a good sushi spot close by! Their menu offers clearly listed cooked and raw sushi rolls and many other treats. I have the Black Knight roll and it was awesome! Not sure why there are bad reviews. The staff was great and the sushi was great! We have had sushi from West Coast to First Coast. This place was a pleasant surprise. The Coconut Roll is like dessert and huge! The Rainbow had great flavor and wasn't bland like some can be. The must have is the Beauty and the Beast. New spot in Burlington and to my knowledge the only sushi spot. Decided to get some takeout the other night. Going into it I had low expectations, but I gotta say I was impressed. I ordered online and to my surprise the estimated time was only 15 minutes. I drove there and still expected to have to wait for it to be ready, but as soon as I walked in it was ready to go. We got a few different sushi rolls, the shrimp shumai, and the chicken teriyaki bento box (which also comes with sushi). Everything was great. Staff was friendly.
