They speak Chinese and English both. The mechanic is very very nice!! The front desk is not as smily but I only had a few words with him before jumping into business with the mechanic. Got a general inspection on the car. The mechanic checked the car, patiently answered all my questions and even boosted the tires for me voluntarily. No other auto repair shops ever did that. A few issues were found with the car but he didn't exaggerate any of them or try to offer unnecessary service at all. I am very happy with their caring way to treat customers. read more

Honest and skilled mechanics. I took my 2015 Nissan for an oil change, and I was worried about my tire light keep coming back on. They gave me a complete check up for no charge, and let me know my tire need higher pressure than other cars because my car is sensitive. I loved this place is great place to get your car fixed. Jack is a great guy to work with since he is always trying to give me tips to keep my car in good shape. This place can be missed since it is surrounded by other auto shops. However, you should look for them since they do excellent work and have really good prices. Honestly I've been on off with the duo who manage the auto service here. My dad was the person who introduced me and they have a great oil change deal. Light repairs are good, but I would suggest if you need some heavy repairs to either understand some level of auto repair and discuss with them or simply get a second consultation. I have never had a problem with this place. The owner, Jack is a great guy. My family and I have been coming here for over a decade. The oil changes are cheap and fast, and whenever you need work done, Jack is always honest. I also have a Camry and have had numerous mishaps due to let's just say...poor driving judgment. I've always taken my car here to get things fixed and it's always cheap. He's very accomodating when you don't want to spend a lot for expensive parts and helps you find the cheapest (but effective) solution to the problem. A good example of the great service Jack does is when I needed new brake pads and tires. I stopped by without calling and only had 2 hours to spare (was heading out of town.) Rather than wait for the parts to be delivered, Jack went to go pick everything up himself and got the whole job done on time. Let's face it, if you need expensive parts, you go to the dealership. Went in for a quick oil change with the oil that I had bought from Costco and a filter for my car. They did not send me back for buying the parts on my own and they did the oil change without any fuss. Ten cost was also cheap compared to other folks around in the area. read more

This is by far thee the most honest and capable car repair services I've every dealt with in many previous years of painful experiences being ripped off by so many big name or local car shops. One time, at Discount Tires, I took my Camry in for tire service, then the manager told me that the shock was "in danger" and the brakes could probably use new ones too. He said it with all smiles and very friendly. Well, good thing I decided not to take the Discount Tires guy's words, and took my car to JingGong, Mr. Huang at JingGong got my car lifted up and examined, told me that the shock was fine, and the brakes could go another 10k miles with no problem. He didn't charge me a penny even with the time he spent examining it. Such incidents occurred a couple of times already where I was told that my car needed this and that, otherwise.,.. I would always went back to JingGong for 2nd opinion. If they don't know how to fix your problem, they would tell you. I've used them for over 15 yrs, never ever once they cheated or overcharged me. Just really love those guys. You hardly find such honest mechanics anywhere. read more

I visited jing-gong frequently, change oil/filter, just as Andy C already said, its service is quick and competitive in price ($20 - $30 based on car cylinders). I also have them fixed some small problems. They made a 90K miles maintenance 7 years ago, including replacing timing belt and water pump, I paid for $480. 2 years later when I made a maintenance in Toyota dealer in Hayward, their technician told me the timing belt work is not work, need replacement. I checked with another mechanic in Fremont, they told me the same thing, but less confident, they recommend me to come earlier than what supposed to be. I went to Jing-gong with the 2 diagnostic reports and want to know why. But as expected, they look very offended, and repeated its dealer's tricks. I can't tell who is right, but I lose the trust to Jing-gong anyway, and do the car maintenance somewhere else. Last week, the timing belt broke on highway I-238. The technician revealed it is due to the bad quality parts, which would not fail even in 20K more miles. Fortunately, Toyota Camry is with a non interference engine, otherwise it will be severely damaged. read more

went to Jing-Gong Auto Clinic for repairs on my Camry last year. My receipt is dated April 28, 2006, although I ended up having to re-visit his shop three times. The shop is known for its cheap $20 oil change deals and uses that gimmick to draw in customers and to establish clientele. The owner informed me that the timing belt and belt tensioner needed replacement and assured me he uses only OEM and not generic no-name parts. The first time I got my car back, I noticed how difficult it was to turn my steering wheel. The most disconcerting part was that turning the steering wheel in either direction resulted in the emission of extremely loud scraping noises. I asked the owner to re-do his work. He turned me away, saying that it was already late in the afternoon and I will need to come back another day. I took my car back in the following week for the second time. The owner admitted the screeching sound was caused by his using a timing belt that was the WRONG SIZE for my car. He said I'll need to come back another day so that he can get another part ordered. In my mind, I'd wondered why he went ahead and "fixed" my car when he knew he didn't have the right parts, and why he didn't go ahead and order a new size after I complained that first time. I went in a couple weeks after that. When I got my car back that third time, the steering wheel was easier to turn, but there was still a screeching sound. The sound isn't as loud as before but is still quite loud (loud enough to echo throughout my cul-de-sac neighborhood quite clearly every day for the past 9 months) when the wheel is turned almost to the limit. When I asked the owner to re-do his work again, he said, no, and actually told me that the screeching sound is "normal" because the part is new and will decrease with time. Nine months later, on January 29, 2007, I took my Camry into a reputable shop (AKW Auto Corporation) that was recommended to me by friends. The only problem I told the mechanic was in regards to an oil leak. When I took my car back, the mechanic informed me that he was appalled when he looked under the hood. The timing belt installed on my car by the JING-GONG AUTO CLINIC was the WRONG SIZE, was creating premature WEAR and TEAR, was of POOR QUALITY, and was definitely NOT an OEM part. This reputable shop went ahead and changed my timing belt to a new one and showed me that it was a real OEM part. Needless to say, I am extremely DISGUSTED with the DISHONEST, UNETHICAL work practices at JING-GONG AUTO CLINIC. I don't know how many other people that opportunist has CHEATED, but I want to make sure that a man who is able to LIE with a straight face is EXPOSED to the public. Timing belts are supposed to last for quite a number of years. I ended up having to pay for two OEM timing belts in a 9-month time span. The most UNBELIEVABLE fact to swallow is how little JING-GONG AUTO CLINIC cares about CONSUMER SAFETY. This shop not only charges you for parts not delivered, but also delivers empty promises and has no concern for vehicular safety. read more

avoid this place. my accord had a check engine light on last year. the guy charged me $100 to diagnose the problem & charged me $300 to replace couple spark plug & wires. I asked to waive or discount the diagnostic charge since my repair work is done here (most repair shops do that) but the guy refused & he said it is equal to a "major tune up". I said there is no filter or oil change & you called it a major tune up? $400 just to replace some spark plugs is way too expensive. Unfortunately the check engine light came on again & the guy checked it & asked me to go to dealer. What a place! read more

I have been in this shop a number of times and I can tell you that it is NOT FANCY but these guys know what they are doing and their prices are right. They don't spend any extra money on overhead - no office or waiting area, just a counter in the shop - but I have been pleased with their work. I would take my business back to them especially for an inported or Japanese car as that seems to be their specialty. I like dealing with the owners directly and these guys are no b.s. Give them a try but don't expect fresh coffee and cable TV while you wait! read more
