It's not the restaurant's fault, just something to plan for ahead of time. The food was excellent. Everything we ordered was flavorful, fresh, and came out surprisingly fast - honestly, record time. The staff was also very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. One thing to note: they don't have a liquor license, but they make up for it with really great mocktails. I didn't miss alcohol at all. Also, if you're going specifically for drunken noodles, just know they're not on the menu. I've visited this place a few times just to give it a fair shot, but the food has always been just... alright. The first time I went, they didn't have our reservation even though we called earlier that day and even showed it on our call log, but they still denied it. After that, we made sure to book reservations a few days in advance. As for the food: the chili garlic noodles were nothing special, the dynastic chicken was spicy but pretty good, and the Mongolian beef was just okay. Drinks were decent too. Originally hearing about this restaurant I was intrigued. It's a fusion restaurant with different types of Asian cuisine. There was Chinese, Mongolian, Thai, and more. I wasn't that into anything I was served. There was plenty leftover and I don't know why but I think it tasted better the next day reheated. At the start, they put cups at the seating but they didn't give us any water which was expected for a sit down restaurant like it. When asked about it, they only had large bottles of water which costed extra. I wasn't a fan of that because in general a business should be able to give free tap water as an option but they didn't. Something to note that's in the menu is that a party of more than 2 automatically has a gratuity of 18% and more than 5 automatically gets 21%. So do keep that in mind for your visit. My group had ordered family style so I don't have many photos of my time there. I did get a snap of their Hong Kong iced tea as I was very curious what made it Hong Kong style. It was a black tea, loads of ball shaped ice that gave it the appearance of lychee so it was a little misleading even to the people next to me, and a lemon slice. I really couldn't tell what was so special about it to call it a Hong Kong iced tea. It wasn't bad but I feel like a homemade or house iced tea would be more fitting title as it's not coming from a pre packaged bottle and it tasted like they made it themselves. Its a Chinese/ Asian cuisine, we ordered a variety of dishes including chicken basil, Mongolian beef, seasome chicken, fried rice, hot and sour soup with chicken and veggie noodles. The soup was amazing spicy and perfect! The best thing was the seasome chicken it was so spicy and flavorful the sauce was perfect. The noodles and Mongolian beef were also some of my favorites from that day perfectly fresh and great flavor. The only complaint would be that the food took a very long time to come and the waiters were not very attentive, we kept runnning out of water and needed to call them over alot. This is literally the worst place i have ever been to. I called before going. Asked about closing time and if we can come an hour before. I was told we can be seated as long as we order quickly because the kitchen closes. I understand and respect the fact that its late. Great place! The halal food is amazing and everything we had for a large party (15 ppl) was tasty. It took a while for them to take our orders (about 40 min after we were seated). We left George St Theater in search of a late lunch/early dinner. Jinsoy looked like the perfect place, easy walking distance from the theater. We were 2 couples. The service was poor at best. The Pad Thai came out almost immediately. The other 3 dishes came out one at a time. The delay was such that the Pad Thai was ice cold. I took almost 10 minutes from the first dish until we were all served. What a disappointment!! We asked to have the dishes very mild. Two dishes were ok, the fourth dish was very spicy, I had to send it back. The others were already finished so I did not get another dish. Can you imagine, they charge $5.00 for a cop of tea with a poor quality tea bag? The check arrived and they added 18% tip. If you paid by credit card, there was a 3% up charge. If you paid by cash, they deducted 10%. There are many other restaurants in New Brunswick, avoid this one. read more

My friends and I went to Jinsoy yesterday night. It's a beautiful restaurant with lovely decor and soft music. We only waited 30 minutes for a table on a Saturday night with no reservation. I did not appreciate an automatic 18% gratuity for parties of 2 or more. The restaurant was full (although it did not feel claustrophobic) and it took us roughly 20 minutes before anybody came to our table to take our order and that was only after we had to flag someone down frantically to ask how to order because the QR codes on the table made it seem as if you order virtually. Our food came out rather quickly, but the servers didn't serve everyone individually; they placed everything on the corner of the table and we had to pass things around while some of the dishes were hot. We never got water for the table and had to purchase three individual water bottles because the restaurant had run out of the larger Aqua Pana bottles. The waiter brought our check without us asking and then came by again five minutes later to pick up the check even though we were still eating and talking. There is a sign at the door saying the maximum time per table is 1hr30min; however, I'd like to reiterate that we waited about 20 minutes to be addressed when we enter the restaurant and did not appreciate being rushed when the restaurant was clearing out and had multiple booths and larger tables for parties of 4+ people open and set. I'd say: yes, this food is Asian fusion, but the flavors are not as rich and deep as I'd expect for this type of cuisine. The portions are very generous and the mocktails were GOOD (my friend and I each had a piña colada while our other friend had a lychee mojito). We were told our food was "medium spice level," but none of us thought our plates were spicy (we're from Jamaica and Trinidad so our spice tolerance level is pretty high). We shared a Dynamite Shrimp appetizer, two of us had the Chili Garlic Noodles with shrimp, and the other had the Chili Lamb. The service could be improved with more wait staff and deeper flavors in the food, and the mandatory gratuity has to be addressed...maybe mandatory for parties of 6+ since the restaurant hosts large groups. read more

If I could give this place a 0 star I would. I don't understand how can they call it Chinese food. It's a mix of Pakistani/Indian/Mexican food with some soya sauce. I ordered chicken chow mein and it was filled with cilantro and egg, you could hardly find chicken in there. Who in the world put egg in the chowmein. The chicken Manchurian was actually meatballs with some sad looking gravy. The Lolly pop chicken were also worst with some gravy and peanuts on top.
