I used to love Jinya. The food is always yummy and the prices are usually pretty good, but recently this place has really gone downhill. I will absolutely never eat at Jinya again after my last two experiences. The second-to-last time I ordered from them, I got horrible food poisoning. I decided to give them one more chance, but my most recent visit was the final straw. While sitting at my table, I saw a roach crawl right next to my bowl. When I pointed it out to the staff, all they offered to do was remake the meal. In what world is remaking food next to a live bug acceptable? They definitely should have comped my entire meal.

Literally the best place to have ramen! Great customer service and the food is always excellent! The ambiance is always clean and there's great spacing.

Jinya is always a solid bowl of ramen. One of my favorite parts is that there is a long list of items to customize your bowl. I'm a huge garlic lover and it makes my tastebuds happy that I can get a dish of fresh garlic on the side to add as much as I want to my ramen. I also really enjoy that they make the perfect jammy egg. Today I chose an extra side that I haven't had before, the spicy tuna tacos. What a perfectly flavorful little bite. The staff is always friendly and service is quick and efficient. The restaurant is simple and clean.

This place is fantastic! I love the different options for appetizers and drinks. The bao bun was delicious, bun was soft. I also got the salmon poke tacos and it was fresh and flavorful. I ordered the black ramen, it was tasty. I thought the egg could have been marinated a little longer or could have had a deeper flavor. The service was very attentive. Good place for large parties, you should check in on yelp!

Came in as a party of 2 and were told a 40 minute wait that pleasantly ended being only 20 min. We had walked over to Righteous Room for a drink while we waited. We were seated at the bar and ordered a bowl of tonkatsu black and red. I ordered mine at a level 10 but our server put it in as an 8. The 8 was fine because I actually don't like that the additional spice makes the soup thicker. Next time I'll order it as a 5 to avoid the up charge and add the table spicy sauce instead. I will say the meat and egg are good. The meat is tender and juicy and the egg is perfectly gooey. Dont forget to add fresh garlic! But overall, the ramen is just fine. The soup flavor is just okay. For dessert we ordered green tea mochi and it was mostly melted. Those should come straight out of the freezer to allow them to melt slightly when the get to the table. Ours were mushy with the ice cream oozing out.

Parking is atrocious -- just go ahead and bring your patience with you. This place stays packed, so expect a bit of a wait. That said, the food and service do make up for it. They had a special running when I went, and the ramen was solid. Nothing earth-shattering, but definitely satisfying. What stood out most was the variety on the menu -- enough that I'd come back just to try something different next time. Bonus points to the staff: super friendly, helpful, and they gave some great drink recommendations that paired really well with the food. Overall, if you're willing to fight for parking and wait a bit, it's worth the trip.

Ramen is a good look when hot or cold outside! Tried this local gem a few weeks back with some colleagues in hot Atlanta. I forgot the name of the specific ramen I tried but it was with veggie broth and tofu. I do not like soft tofu, I probably should have requested it be grilled. C'est la vie! I also prefer a more creamy broth consistency which this broth was not.I started with some sushi appetizers (because why not). I enjoyed my food but I wasn't wowed by any of my selections. Our server was attentive and kind. It was your typical Ramen stop with lively greetings, intimate table closeness and food arrived quickly. Would I return? Uuummm maybe! I've had better vegetarian ramen in other states (CA). While an unfair comparison, this experience was a solid 4.

I placed an order for pickup as this is my mom's favorite ramen spot. I ordered the kids meal and surprisingly it was filling. It came with chicken ramen , a rice bowl , a side salad , fries and two nuggets . It was only 12 dollars. The noodles are thinner than other places but it's really good. The broth and the chicken paired well and I like that you get a good amount of food. I was shocked like this is a kids meal . The server was nice when we picked up the food. I also tried the impossible bao bun it was so yummy . It had this avocado sauce and it was different . Overall I had a good experience and I would recommend the kids menu if your on a budget.

The bao buns here are an absolute must-order. The braised pork belly bun came out beautifully; tender, caramelized meat drizzled with a rich aioli, tucked into a pillowy steamed bun with crisp cucumber, fresh greens, and pickled vegetables. The presentation alone was worth the trip. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed with that modern izakaya feel. Great spot for a casual dinner or a fun group outing. Would definitely return to work through more of the menu.

Visited JINYA during happy hour which has $3 $6 $9 food options. The crispy rice with spicy tuna was my favorite 10/10. The crispy chicken wasn't my favorite but if you like chicken thighs then you'll love this. The shrimp wontons ramen was divine along with the amazing service and ambience. Definitely will be enjoying happy hour again

I absolutely love Jinya, they have great food, adorable drinks, and a nicely decorated interior with slightly darkened ambient lighting. The service is also good, with my past servers being very attentive and helpful with drink pairings. They recently have some new mocktail options that are decorated super cute, but I ended up getting the strawberry lychee mojito. It is very sweet, a bit too sweet for my liking but still tasty and worth a try! I love getting the black tonkatsu ramen, the spicy chicken is also really good, I'll definitely be coming back :)

I recently visited JINYA Ramen Bar, and overall, it was a really solid experience. For the appetizer, I ordered the Takoyaki. Lightly battered octopus over egg tartar, topped with mayonnaise, okonomiyaki sauce, fresh green onions, and smoked bonito flakes. The balance of flavors was honestly impressive. Savory, slightly sweet, creamy, smoky -- everything worked together. I'd give that dish alone a 9.7/10 without hesitation. For the entrée, I went with the spicy chicken ramen. In my opinion, a basic ramen like this should represent the foundation of the restaurant -- it's the benchmark. You either nail it or you don't. It wasn't bad by any means, but I was expecting a thicker, richer, more flavorful broth. It felt just a little lighter than I hoped. I'd rate the ramen a 6.5/10. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed. Parking was easy to find, and we didn't wait long for our food, which is always a plus. Granted we dined in about 1.5 hour before closing. Overall, I'd give JINYA Ramen Bar an 4.2/5 The Takoyaki alone makes it worth visiting again, and I'd definitely be open to trying a different ramen next time. Would I go back? Yes -- especially for those Takoyaki.

Came as a party of 8 on a Tuesday night and was packed! Waited 20 minutes and we were sat and were immediately serviced and orders were in. Food came out really fast and ordered 3 appetizers and then everyone had a main and a drink. Everything tasted great and to perfection. The place is quiet enough to have a conversation but the seats were kind of close together. Would come for ramen again!

I didn't realize that the two were connected! FYI, if you sit downstairs, you'll be seated next to where the live music performers will be playing, so it will be louder there. As for the drinks, I tried the Zombie. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one instead of trying a different one! It tasted sweet and slightly tropical with the rum and spiced liqueur. It also had some absinthe, which I was worried about when I first ordered it since I hate the taste of it (not a big fan of black licorice flavors), but I didn't taste it at all! Our server, Robert, was fantastic--attentive without being overbearing. He made great recommendations and was happy to move us from a small table to a more comfortable booth when we asked. They offer a wide variety of alcoholic drinks, but we opted for "Mocktail #2," which was pink, fruity, and refreshing with watermelon, mint, and lime soda. We started with the Chargrilled Louisiana Oysters, which were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious--honestly, the best I've ever had. The Volcano Roll was also great--generous in size and perfect for sharing. It's listed as having "spicy crab," but I didn't find it spicy at all (a plus for me!). If you want more heat, wasabi is served on the side. For entrees, I had the Salmon Teriyaki and my husband had the Braised Beef. My salmon was perfectly cooked and came with fluffy white rice and mixed vegetables. But he definitely won the entree round--his beef was tender, flavorful, and served with what tasted like sweet mashed potatoes (the menu said red potatoes). The glazed carrots were slightly firm but still tasty. To top it all off, we were served a mini chocolate cake with whipped vanilla icing--soft, rich, and perfect for sharing. The inside isn't the largest resource been to, but has plenty of seating. The atmosphere is relaxed and we saw people dressed up and down. Overall, we had a great experience. First, I tried to see the menu online but quickly found there are a lot of menus and they change, so you can't really know what they're serving. They had just five entrees to pick from, and none were very appetizing. Each was over-engineered, too. They were good about asking about allergies, but if you're traveling and careful about introducing new things to your diet, maybe this place isn't for you. They do have a steak. At $200, it's made for the entire table. You can't just get a steak, even though they clearly have steak. Frankly, a lot of the menu was just gross. Sweetbreads, steak tartare, veal. We picked a chicken plate with potatoes. The potatoes were fine. The chicken was very dry. I asked for iced tea. "We don't serve tea products" was the response. WTF? And while the cocktail and wine choices seemed numerous, the beer was extremely limited. We just stuck with water. Then there was the service. The staff were polite and prompt, but some of the habits were just deeply weird. They kept coming by and folding our napkins. Like, you get up, use the bathroom (an unmarked door adjacent to the kitchen), come back, and somebody has picked up your napkin, the one you've been touching your face with, folded it with their bare hands, and left it there. Look, servers roll silverware and I'm no germophobe, but we really don't need more people touching my napkin throughout the meal, do we? This carried over to other staff who would randomly stop by to clear plates and wipe the table down while we all had to stop talking, watch them replace perfectly clean silverware with new perfectly clean silverware, and then leave. Always with new people. None of this makes it a bad restaurant. It's probably exactly what some people are looking for. It just isn't for me.
