Very sad to see this place change, the menu has gotten much smaller and food has gone down. Changed their menu and now the appetizers are much smaller, no more spicy shrimp tempura . In all seriousness there are much less options than there used to be but they prioritized their drink menu it looks like. We got the Edemame and I thought it came with salt sprinkled on it usually, definitely did not this time. The spicy chicken ramen tasted good but the noodles were soggy. I asked for extra bean sprouts twice and never got them. My brother said the tofu was very slimy and not enjoyable. I asked the waiter if they do anything for birthdays and he said I gotchu covered. After an hour of waiting for whatever it was we left. The place is still very enjoyable to be at but the food just doesn't cut it anymore.

Miso Eggplant small plate. I literally could've eaten my weight in these.

After having this Miso Eggplant on Monday, I had to go back to have it for Wednesday lunch with white rice. It was soooooooo good that I took another order home for tomorrow's lunch. De-lish! Again service was spot on with Piper, upbeat and tons of positive energy. Sitting solo at the little sushi bar gave me just the right amount of anonymity as well as enough space for my lunch and ipad. Again, I recommend!

    Tonkotsu Red...Level 8. YUMMY!!
    Chandra S.

Jinya is my absolute favorite ramen bar in Baton Rouge. The Tonkotsu Red allows me to pick my spice level (which is an 8), add extras like fresh garlic, cabbage and broccoli and swap to thin noodles. This dish makes my tastebuds dance!! The restaurant is usually full of folks at the normal busy times of lunch and early dinner. Weekends are always packed and rightfully so because there is something for everyone at this BR Jewel! It's a cute spot to stop in before or after a movie or just as a standalone excursion. If you love ramen, you'll love Jinya!!

Carlos was our server and he was very attentive and came to check on us often. He gave us best sellers and personal opinions on the menu which was great! I had the premium tonkotsu red ramen which was pretty good! My friend had a creamy spicy vegan ramen which shocked me with how flavorful it was. I had the e tomo e tomo drink which I loved as well! The crispy rice was a nice, light starter too! Definitely will be back!

I love JINYA! Their happy hour specials are nice, I always get the tuna crispy rice. Today I tried their spicy creamy vegan ramen and wowwwwwwww literally perfect. It has a great level of spice. I added an egg per our servers recommendation and pork. Literally some of the best ramen I've ever had. Our server, Lana, was a great help. I also love to sit outside, vibes are nice out there.

I usually have a good experience but I ordered my meal from DoorDash and there was already eaten food in my delivery ! Worst experience !

910 food 8/10 service 7/10 drinks All together 8.5/10 I got the spicy ramen and fried chicken and the tsunami drink only thing bothered me is it's not spacey kinda sitting shoulder to shoulder from the other parties service was okay.

We went the day after Thanksgiving and it was extremely busy, but to be expected since everyone was out shopping. Staff was super friendly, very polite, and did an excellent job of servicing customers. Very clean and intimate atmosphere. I love the setup and ambiance of the place. I ordered the Birria Ramen and it did not disappoint. I'm still craving it, lol. I will certainly return to try other things and of course my picture shows I stirred it up a bit, it wasn't served that way. Surprisingly, the price was fair for lunch for two. Overall, it was great experience.

I've had jinya ramen in Houston, but this is my first time having it in Baton Rouge. From what I remember, it is pretty similar and of course the Ramen was great. I think my only complaint would be that I wish it had more meat as it seems that most other ramen places I've been to had larger portions of meat. Great location with great service. The food came out fast and was very flavorful, not too salty. I'd come back if I'm in town.

Whitney was a great bartender. I had the impossible gyoza and a flying violette. Main course I went with the flying vegan harvest and it was served properly. I got one jinya chicken ramen order to go. The restaurant kept a steady flow of a crowd. The bar wasn't too busy.

Price: $$ Portion: 4 stars Taste/Quality: 3.5 stars Service: 3 stars JINYA Ramen Bar was recommended to us by a friend, we decided to give it a try. Stopped in around 7 pm, wait was 1 1/2 hours without a reservation, surprisingly we only waited 30 minutes and received a text. We sat at the ramen bar, pretty cool watching the workers prepping ramen. My 3 stars come with wait time to get our food. Our server was friendly. We placed our order at 7:40, at 8:15 we were still waiting on appetizers. Ramen broth was a little salty in the Jinya Chicken Ramen, but better tasting than most ramen we've tried in LA. My husband ordered extra ramen for his Tonkotsu Black but it took so long he canceled the order since his broth was already getting cold. Chicken Chashu Bowl was delicious, and the serving size was too much for me (regular size), you'll have leftover for breakfast/lunch the next day. All in all, you should try JINYA Ramen Bar. Make it your experience. We came on a Friday night where it was a little busier, so on another day, it may not be, and your experience will be best! Enjoy~ cheers!

The standout for me was the veggie fried rice. It had great flavor, and I'd honestly come back for that alone. The Snake Wrangler drink was also a favorite. The only downside was the hot honey. It was very light on both the wings and the bao bun, so the flavor didn't come through as much as expected. Service was efficient and attentive. Try one and they are stone cold but good flavor. I asked Courtney the server if they were meant to be served room temperature (first time having so wasn't Sure). She takes the whole bowl. A nice little bit later my bowl is returned just as my tikka masala queso Is arriving. From the looks of my bowl and the broth it was nuked. Heated in the microwave which was annoying bc I wanted to try these fresh for the first time and also more importantly I ordered them with intentions of eating 2 now and taking the other 3 to go so I could enjoy my queso there. Dumplings can't and shouldn't reheated multiple times over and especially not even once at the restaurant that's serving them. I was honestly just hoping they would have dropped a fresh hot spoon or two of the broth : sauce they were in. Very upsetting for the evening because I was excited to try something new

Great lighting and front row to the kitchen staff. We were seated pretty quickly and got our initial drinks soon after that. Our waitress was direct and to the point. Their menu features a good mixture of different dishes. For appetizers we got the chicken wings. It was delightfully crispy even after 30 minutes and still steaming hot. I was a little disappointed that it does not come with a sauce. I would recommend getting the spicy mayo sauce as dip (extra $1.50), superb flavor. My wife got the Red tonkatsu and love the spice level. Definitely not for the faint of heart. It came with a generous about of chashu pork and ramen noodles. I got the okonomiyaki which was also good. Fair amount of seafood and the pancake batter was light. I do wish it had more cabbage. And of course the snacks many of us know from childhood, like prawn crackers or Marukawa bubble gum. For the size, I was very impressed with this cute little shop. It's clean and organized, well stocked, and they're so friendly there. Honestly, prices are also super reasonable. They could totally jack up prices more and get away with it, since it's the only shop of its kind in this area. So I decided on 5 stars because while I do wish they had more non-frozen actual food and more variety, for their size, they're doing the best that they can. You can't walk into a store this size and expect an H-Mart or Assi or Hong Kong Supermarket. And the fact that they appeal to all the Asians is pretty darn great for this side of Baton Rouge.
