We enjoyed our visit to JINYA over the weekend. We arrived right at opening around 11am, and were able to find street parking pretty easily. Place was pretty empty, but again, had just opened its doors for its day! Restaurant was clean and modern. There is a section that has a few stairs, so if you have any accessibility issues I would call ahead and ask for a table on the top part of the restaurant. I asked if they had mimosas in which the server replied they did not. However, she came back shortly after and said they could make an exception! I appreciated that and thought it was a nice gesture. Overall, service was really great and attentive. At no point did our water glasses go empty, and we placed our orders super quick. For lunch, I had the Spicy Creamy V Ramen. My friend had Tonkotsu Black. We also split an order of the French fries. Overall, the ramen was very tasty. It wasn't spicy at all, but I appreciate that JINYA includes sauces on the table to add to your ramen. The toppings (onions, tofu, etc.) were delicious and fresh. I also felt super full after only a few bites and took the rest home - well worth the price! My friend enjoyed his meal as well. The French fries needed a bit more salt, but only if you didn't use the dipping sauces. Which you would be crazy not to do so, as they are delicious. Speculative. Yes. Curious. More So. A ramen bar in Dwtn DFW, why bother?? How could one not bother?!? Growing up Hapa; Japanese & Mexican, I've had abuelos ramen & udon noodles. As well as had titas Mexican birria soup. The soup was to die for; i HADA order three extra order noodles so i could completely finish the soup. Imho this dish was a symphony of my childhood & who i am as a person. My partner wasn't as hyped as i was but they enjoyed the Tonkatsu blk ramen & lychee matcha drink. Savory ramen!! The price point is higher than other competitors in the area- but will say the broth itself is richer so it's worth it if u do a tonkotsu versus a shoyu/shio base ramen. Service was super quick as we sat at the bar. They were habitually cleaning the tables so the store was super clean. We got some drafts of asahi/sapporo ($8) and the fried tuna sushi (3 pieces/$9). The sushi was super easy to eat and not too fishy with the tuna. The ramen ($18) was super rich and a great portion. The egg was slightly overcooked and the chasu piece was slightly fatty. Upon entering this fine entablement that is nestled on the corner of Victory Blvd in a dimmed low light natural setting with ample tables and chairs along with a bar. I placed a drink order of Asahi super dry and ordered the miso ramen while waiting for my uber in the downtown Dallas Traffic. My order quickly arrived, and the ramen was looking stunning with 2 circular cuts of tender pork char su and a soft-boiled egg and 2 slices of crisp seaweed and finely sliced green scallions. The miso broth was full of heartiness and umami flavor. It was savory and nutty with a slight bit of saltiness coming from the long cooking process. The noodles were cooked al dente with a nice snap back when biting into. The noodles were a thick cut and soaked up the broth fairly well and I enjoyed slurping them while enjoying my ramen. Altogether I enjoyed dining in at Jinya and eating the ramen here. I'll definitely be back after another game to enjoy more delicious ramen and maybe try the tonkotsu black ramen and get some appetizers like the crispy chicken and gyoza. read more

Boy intrepid readers, haven't had to write a 1 review in a long while. For a quick background, we go to TSO (Trans-Siberian Orchestra), 2 yrs ago it was at the AAC here in Dallas which is a rock toss to a bunch of casual and cool places for a nibble and cocktails. Our favorite from yrs ago was Jinya (for shame I didn't write a review the first time). We sat outside by a fire pit, got super tasty vittles, had superb service and took tons of pictures. It was straight up a 5 star experience. Wish I could remember what all we had to eat... regardless; things took a 180 turn on our "visit" (if you can call it that when you walk out unserved). It had rained a good amount in Dallas, but it was clear skies when we started walking to hit some places. Decided to hit Jinya first... Boy howdy, here we go... We walk in and stand at the host stand for a few minutes, server comes up to us and we ask to sit outside (the fire pit is on and as I said it's clear skies). The server goes over to what must've been the manager on duty. Comes back and says "no, it's not open because of the rain". I point out the rain is long gone and it's clear skies. Didn't matter were told no, there were no tables for like an hour but the bar was wide open. So, we go sit down at the bar. *Eventually* the bartender comes over and we manage to get menus. I wasn't sure what cocktail to have for a few minutes, but placed my order and the lady asked for a diet coke. We sit there for what seems like 5 mins, the bartender won't even look at us as another couple sits next to us at the bar and he immediately serves them and gets them drinks. Wow, just wow... I can't imagine what we did to deserve that level of disrespect, and that's exactly what it was, disrespectful. I cannot recall the last time I walked out of a restaurant like that night, but we did. Went to Billy Can Can and had no problems, and they were 5x as busy. We won't be going back and that's a shame. Shame on them. read more

This Ramen bar was my first ramen in Dallas and it was alright. It is pretty pricey for a bowl of ramen that doesn't come with toppings that should've been included already. I got the spicy miso and it wasn't spicy at all. We had to ask for extra chili oil. Paying for an extra egg and garlic just didn't seem right for the price. This location is a vibe that's consistent across the board. I liked the darker decor. Made me feel like I was at a bar, which it is. Even our server matched the vibe. Very chill yet still helpful. Decided to try this spot out for lunch with my dad and i really enjoyed the jinta tonkotsu black ramen. I ordered it as is and the broth was so good. The egg was perfect. I wish there was a bit more meat, only 2 pieces of pork- the add on price is kinda pricey but I'm not sure how much you get. My dad got a beer flight and the spicy chicken ramen with mushrooms on the side. The spicy is pretty medium level- nothing too crazy. I wish i had more room to try other items on the menu. The atmosphere is nice but loud. The music is loud and as each order comes up they yell it out. My bowl looked delicious, but I was disappointed to find that the pork Ramen was a little bland Our server was terrible. She messed up my friends order initially. Things happen, but then she messed up the order again!? She was slow and unresponsive. I like the aesthetic, it felt very luxurious inside, but it was also pretty loud, and not the best use of space. The vegan options at Jinya Ramen Bar blow me away. I started off with an appetizer, the impossible gyoza, which was very flavorful. Love how it's pan fried--not deep fried. Thick filling and soft wrap were also qualities of the gyoza that I enjoyed. Next, I ordered the quinoa salad, which had a delicious dressing drenched across the plate. I definitely recommend ordering the quinoa salad. Very refreshing and perfect for the heat wave. There was an abundance of toppings on the Flying Vegan Harvest including tofu, impossible meat, green onions, corn, and purple onions. Love how the broccolini was roasted and seasoned. The portion size is worth the price, but the only thing that I found disappointing was the saltiness of the broth. It was too salty for my preference! Also, the service was also really slow. It was our first time coming here, and I would say it was quite yummy. We ordered the crispy shrimp, crispy rice with tuna, chicken ramen, added bamboo, corn as well as an egg, and last but not least the salmon poke bowl. Crispy shrimp was def a 10/10, it came out fresh and crispy! and they were actually quite big. Crispy rice was a 5/10, only because we like our tuna a little more solid. This one was more of a pasty texture. Spicy chicken ramen added bamboo, corn, and egg was a 7/10 my boyfriend says. He prefers the thicker noodles and for it to be a bit more spicier. I actually didn't like the broth texture, but the flavor was great. It seemed to me like it was mixed in with the pasta water if that makes sense? so it was more of a creamy gooey texture. Salmon poke bowl- was an 8/10. I think the portion was a good amount! For the amount of appetizers we ate prior. I do feel like it was missing something though but overall it was still good. We came on a Sunday night around 6-7pm and it had a wait line. We actually ended up sitting at the bar since we were too hungry to wait. The vibes were great, as well as the service!
