Came back to jinya today after work and tried the eggplant dish it was so good! It also comes with Brussel sprouts, bok choy, and red bell peppers. The sauce is so flavorful! It's topped with bonito flakes.

This restaurant was on my radar for a while and we finally stopped in after seeing a Demon Slayer promotion. The options are limited for this promotion so I was had to try something different. Not a bad thing as I got a pretty sweet Zenitsu spoon to take home. The garlic rice was a smaller portion than expected but was fragrant and delicious with the side of birria. I LOVED the salmon poke tacos and wish there were more in an order. I could eat a dozen of these! Service was fantastic and I love the vibe dining in.

We had to stop here to get the spoons you get with a certain ramen bowl as part of the Demon Slayer promotion. We were greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. The establishment was not all that big but it did not feel that way. It was really clean and had fun vibes going on. Very laid back and chill. Nice bar too! It was our first time eating here so our server did a great job at explaining the menu and answering any questions we had. Our food did not take long at all to come out and everything we ordered was really good. Their menu had lots of options and fairly priced considering its location. We are looking forward to combing back and trying our luck in order to get the collection of spoons as well as trying other things on the menu.

The location is very nice and a new building so there is some appeal here. However, I think the food can be much better for the price they charge. The vibe is decent though so overall I would say it's a middle of the pack Ramen restaurant in the Houston area.

Ahhhhh! My first time at JINYA & my first time having ramen and it was DELICIOUSSSSSSSSSSSS here! Like are you kidding me!?! Came here on a random Wednesday afternoon and it was pretty packed. I sat at the bar & Huy was my server. I've been here so many times I order off of memory and he knew exactly what I was talking about. He checked on me multiple times and was a pleasure. Food was 10/10 as always. Love going to Jinya, always tend to go for the Tonkotsu or the Kaarage whenever they have it but this time I saw Birria Ramen on the menu and was so intrigued. THATS the kinda Houston Fusion I like to see so I had to try. FLAAAAMES. This was incredible the meat was as soft and juicy as in a birria taco and that consome flavor was on point. The broth was delicious, noodles were great, and this one did not come with an egg but I had to add one because how can you have ramen without egg?? Love that they give you full eggs and not half eggs here. Sat at the bar and our bartender / server was incredibly kind and attentive!

Despite being in a strip of serious food heavy hitters (#1), the most popular option is likely this JINYA, nestled in the heart of Katy's suburbia. They've become a relatively well oiled machine with keeping their Japanese-American inspired fare consistent and their customer service reliably on point. Whether one is a novice or regular, it's going to be a good time almost every time. While the space isn't extremely spacious, they've done a great job in utilizing a layout that works for all group sizes. The bar is always a fun area to watch the kitchen staff do their thing, but larger groups can enjoy the intimate corner / side areas for more comfortable surroundings. The ambiance is especially nice at night, which could make this a quality date night destination. Kudos to the interior designer for the excellent ambient lighting. The tonkotsu black is always a safe option, which combines a fragrant broth with an equally tasty finish. I always take a nice couple of spoonful sips before bottoming out the rest of the bowl. The yuzu shio, spicy umami, and the tonkotsu original are always appreciated. While their wonton based ramens have failed to impress, the birria ramen is a complete salt bomb. The latter is admittedly a rough one, so I'd recommend sticking to their classic options. Beware of the semi-small portions when considering extra options like chashu pork, corn, or extra noodles. When it comes to toppings, I don't know of any other ramen chain that has such an extensive selection. There's no limit how one can customize the bowl to their liking, which is pretty fantastic. Shoutout to management for offering vegan friendly options as well. Their crispy chicken (aka karaage) has a nice crunch and is appropriately juicy. While I think the gyozas are overpriced at nearly $12 for 6 pieces, they do make for a nice change up palate wise. The mini tacos are definitely mini and the presentation is extremely on point. The best deal in the house might be the kids meal at $12, which comes with a mini bowl of chicken ramen, along with a mini chashu rice bowl, some crispy chicken, french fries, and even candy. The staff is what makes JINYA shine almost always. The customer service is on point and they're incredibly accommodating to point where I'm often looking forward to every visit. ___________ (#1) Which includes Twenty Five Teishoku House, Fadi's Mediterranean Grill to name a few.

As usual, my first dinner when I get to Katy, is the vegan ramen and seaweed salad from JINYA. It always hit! Fresh, delicious, and fast. I'm here four days, I'm sure I'll eat here more than twice. The staff is very nice, even though I typically get takeout so I can eat with the family, I'd eat there in a heartbeat. It's clean and everyone is friendly. I forgot to take pictures of all my food. Day 2 I ordered the vegan kids meal for my grandson and the seaweed salad. So good.

Came here on a Sunday during lunch and seems like this place never has a light hour. Been to the downtown location after work on a Thursday and place is still full. This time I tried the tonkatsu blk, it was better than the spicy original. Would definitely recommend that along with the Karaage appetizer. They also have some good freezer pops, two flavors. read more

Small, cute, and quaint! Location is off the feeder road, strange spot. This was my first time eating Jinya because I've always eaten Samurai Noodle. Samurai noodle has their full menu available, this place only has about 7 ramen compared to Samurais 10-15. I chose Tonkotsu Black. A beige pork broth, green onion, egg, and straight noodles. Very skimpy on the amount of ingredients but it was very delicious. The staff was unaware of the happy hour specials listed on the website. Small tiny facility. Craving JINYA until I go back again! I was invited for ramen on a whim and, not knowing what I was getting myself into, I was on my way. I had only ever had homemade a few times, so my experience was mostly limited to the type of ramen that only requires hot water. I ordered the spicy creamy vegan ramen and substituted everything I love from the toppings. While the price added up with toppings, the ramen made up for it in impeccable taste. This is my third visit in the last month here. Each time the Kara'age (Crispy Chicken on menu) is fabulous. Not too bready, not oversauced. The garlic sauce is a light delight on it. I had the Pork Chashu bowl (rice) this time and I would solely come back for that now. Meat is deliciously flavorful and tender, onions are fresh and the rice not too sticky. Overall a great balance. I'm not from the area so I'm not sure about the original location. I had Sprouting Up Ramen and the soup was good. Noodles tasted very generic, and I like the brussel sprouts. I came in on two separate occasions because I heard this place has the best ramen. I had no regrets coming here and no where to go to get some really good ramen! Food: The first time I came, I ordered their Wonton Chicken Ramen with no green onions and spinach. The wonton went well with the noodles and it was soft and the chicken inside was cooked well. The broth was out of this world! Whatever the broth was made of, it definitely was the highlight of the dish! It brought tons of flavor to the noodles and won ton dumpling. The spinach didn't taste like spinach because the broth was over-powering with delicious flavor! This broth is way better than pho broth and It definitely elevated the dish! My second time around, I ordered the Premium Tonkotsu White. The pork and chicken broth was amazing with tons of flavor and the pork complimented with the texture of the noodles well! Even though I don't like onions, I really enjoyed the fried onions, it had a nice, crispy contrast to the dish! I also enjoyed the half cut, egg that went well together with the dish! Overall: I really enjoyed my experiences here! It has a kinda dark, upscale feel to the ambience! Definitely a hot, date spot! I would love to bring good company with me here! This was my first time here. A local friend of mine recommended the place. We immediately ordered from the Happy Hour Menu and decided to get the Jinya Buns, Caramelized Cauliflower and Crispy Chicken. Although they were all tasty we especially enjoyed the Jinya Buns so much that we ordered another order. For our entree we ordered the Sprouting Up Ramen. We also ordered cloves of garlic and Bok Choy to add in. Everything was very fresh and to our liking. I don't like anything spicy but this location does have a variety of ramen dishes that are spicy for those who can handle the heat. My daughter loves to visit JINYA Ramen Bar. After celebrating her birthday, we stopped into this location for dinner with friends. The staff here is extremely friendly, patient, and professional. Most of our party was children and they allowed us to sit together in the back. Our food was perfectly cooked, and every bite was delicious. I like the amount of light in the dining room of this location compared to the other ones I've visited. We will definitely be back at least twice a month. read more

I came here hesitantly after having a strange experience at Samurai Noodle House (4 miles away). The Spicy Chicken Ramen (Inferno) was amazing and the Fried Chicken was very good. The Spicy Ramen (Double Inferno) was not as good as the Inferno version. I added extra mushrooms to mine and absolutely enjoyed it. Their kids meal Ramen is great and comes with a lot of extras for the kids in addition to the small bowl of Ramen. There is a $1 up-charge to make the Kids Ramen into the Inferno. Customer Service is good and they are very courteous. I was surprised when my server remembered my order after just 2 visits. read more

This place is conveniently located on I10 on the Katy side. Greaf management team, Staffs are very attentive, and the menu selection is good for the broad audience. The restroom is very clean. Really good food but worst possible service. One waiter in particular just walks right past you completely ignoring you , saw this guy last few times I've been in there. That guy needs to get gone.also bartender ignored a couple so long they left. Great option for Ramen with one of the best outdoor seating arrangements in town. Tried the Hot Sake, the Potstickers with Gyoza sauce which is amazing!, the Brussels tempura is a nice twist to having Brussel sprouts, and the chefs special Tonkotsu Ramen was great with a little added spice! Definitely recommend this place for its food as well as outdoor seating which also has a heating arrangement for the chilly winter days. I'm not a big ramen person....truth be told I love the $0.10 ramen packages you can get in the store. This is because I like my food simple and I'm a more picky eater than the average person. However, this ramen was by far the best ramen I've ever had in a restaurant. I didn't ask for any changes to my order - I got the slurp up cilantro (chicken). The broth was delicious and it's a meal I would definitely eat again. There were only two chicken pieces in my soup, but since chicken is typically dry in any soup I wasn't too concerned with not getting a lot of chicken since I wouldn't have eaten it anyways. The menu at Jinya is much more diverse and interesting than other ramen places I've been to. Even if you're not a ramen person, you'll be able to find something here to eat. My only big complaint is that it gets really cold in the restaurant when the AC kicks in. I was so cold that I put my hood on from my jacket. read more

When I walked up to the owner to thank him for having us, his response was completely unprofessional: "Are you kidding? This is for you, you paid for it." The only other time he approached us was to aggressively complain about someone taking up two parking spots--and it wasn't even one of our guests. They also explicitly promised they would check on us throughout the event to see if we needed refills on water or drinks. They completely ghosted. We never saw them, and our guests were left without service. It has been three weeks since the event, and we haven't received a single follow-up call or text to ask how things went. They got their money and completely checked out. Nice place, but terrible owners and even worse service. Never again will we book with them. Save your money and go somewhere where the staff actually cares about your business.

I tried a few nigiri while I was here, with eel being my favorite (and thank goodness for no bones, which was lucky because it's eel). Their tacos were an unexpected standout and is worth a bite or two. Using sheets of nori and frying it to it holds up like a shell is pretty genius and more places need to do this. I had a good time with their Burning Alaska signature maki, which has salmon as the main star. The smokiness from torching was a killer! Their curry reminded me of S&B, which might very well be the mix they used. I was a bit disappointed to not see fish katsu as an option considered it's a sushi place, but I can see the katsu curry selection being a good option as a comfort dish. I usually don't like bamboo toppings in ramen because of the ammonia smell, but I tried some bamboo from the Spicy Ramen that my boyfriend got, and it had no strong bamboo smells at all. So lucky that thru a friend I get to go on their soft opening night. Am I IMPRESSED! It's a group of us foodies and we ordered almost everything on their menu, NOTHING failed me at all. They play pretty exciting music trendy enough to match the décor of the restaurant. I was in love with the interior design, its hip, upscale and trendy. The layout of the place makes it look pretty spacious. Once I went in I was excited about getting my food. Fried pot stickers have the most thin skin, big meatball inside, very soft. And when you take the first bite, there's juicy coming out, almost like Chinese Xiao longbao. its so hard to do for such a thin skin. Shrimp toast is something I first had in Houston area. The only other place I ever tried was in china. And Jinya's are amazing. Its very toasty when they bring it. The toast is soft yet crispy, the sauce on the side makes the toast even better. We had two orders. LOL. Pork belly buns are amazing. The buns are sweet and the pork belly is soft and juicy, perfect together, but not to much fat makes you feel overwhelmed. Unlike other place their Taco teriyaki balls are pretty soft, not too chewy, even though I like them bit more chewy, but the softness has its own flavor. I can eat it without the sauce on the bottom, that's who flavorful the balls are. I like my ramen have more texture so I asked for advise, cant remember which one they brought me, but I just love love love the chewy texture in it. Bravo. Soup are very flavorful, super rich, must took them a long time to brew to this level. My waiter was so handsome and super attentive, I think he refilled my friend's coke 5 times the entire time we were there. Food came in very fast one after another, we almost had no down time. Maybe that's why by the time we were done, we all feel supper blowded. But its GOOD blowded. LOL. Worth the 2 lb I put on myself. We absolutely had nothing to complain about. The food was amazing, and I had a really great time overall. The service was excellent--our waitress was super friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. That said, I was a bit confused by the overall atmosphere. It was hard to tell what kind of vibe the restaurant was going for. It felt like it was meant to be more of a nice, date-night spot, which I was really looking forward to. While it did have that feel in some ways, there were moments where it didn't quite match. For example, our waitress's outfit gave more of a Hooters-style vibe, which caught me off guard--especially since the rest of the staff seemed dressed more professionally. It didn't ruin the experience at all, but it did make the atmosphere feel a little inconsistent. Overall, I'd still recommend it for the food and service, but the ambiance could be a bit clearer and more cohesive. read more

Exceptional ramen experience! I've explored various options with each order, and every ramen dish has been truly impressive. Hard to choose but I think the tonkotsu original is my fav. Have tried their Vegan red fire opal, and that is outstanding too. The Vegan option is a gem for those looking for plant-based delights. The kids combo offers a satisfying variety, though the chicken was a bit dry. Ordering it to go, I was initially disappointed about the missing ice cream promised to my 6-year-old. Upon calling, I learned that to-go orders omit ice cream to prevent melting, unless specifically requested. While this detail caught me off guard, a note on the menu would help parents prepare. I had such an incredible experience at this ramen spot! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and classy -- a perfect blend of modern and cozy. I ordered the birria ramen and it absolutely blew me away. The broth was rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned -- easily one of the best I've ever had. Every bite was comforting and satisfying. To drink, I had an Arnold Palmer, and it was spot on -- perfectly balanced and super refreshing. Shoutout to Ryan, our waiter, who was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Tried this place for the very first time a couple of months ago after looking at all the positive reviews, and I must say, this place not only filled my tummy, but also filled my heart. One of the best ramens I've had in a very long time! I had the spicy chicken ramen and it was perfectly cooked. The broth was yum, the chicken was soft and the flavors were rich. The restaurant has a cool vibe. The service was quick and the food was fresh. There's plenty of parking space around and our waiter was kind and knowledgeable. There's a lot of seating area inside and everything was clean and spacious. My experience was great and I'd recommend this place to anyone wanting to try a good portion of ramen. read more

I want to try the chef special and this is what and how they package 21$ ramen . And wish you good luck . I mean there have to be a better and smarter way to package this for takeout? Maybe put the noodle in the similar packaging as the soup? I don't know so many other option to show you care. Go to show out of all ramen place in Katy to eat it JINYA is still last on that list. And now about the chef special It's ain't special nor cook by a chef. The cook special maybe but that's just being nice. Mushroom , sesame seed., green onions no where to be found. Not sure what all the buzz is about this place, but we went there on a Monday night. Wasn't very crowded at all. Servers had a grungy look to them which was fine b/c they were all pretty nice. The ramen itself was nothing to write home about. Got the miso and it tasted fine, but just nothing special in my opinion. Noodles were thick and broth was okay. If I am in the area and craving ramen, I would come back, otherwise there area probably better ramen places in and around town. But don't take my word for it, try it for yourself. read more

I felt the need to make an account just to leave a review about our good experience today (: I've gone to jinya multiple times due to it being a good consistent ramen spot and brought my friend to try it for their first time. Our server was able to thoroughly explain the menu with them and he was also very attentive (quick refills, checking on us multiple times) throughout our time here. Todays visit was awesome. The waitress was VERY helpful with helping us choose our main courses, she was very friendly and professional as well. The appetizers came out in a good amount of time. The main courses came out extremely quickly and were extremely tasty and delicious. If you want some good tasty ramen that will fill your belly, definitely try Jinya. I LOVE the Spicy Creamy Vegan ramen! If I am am trying to eat more greens I will order the Veggie ramen and substitute in the spicy creamy broth! It is the best I have ever had. The quinoa salad is also bomb....the dressing, while completely vegan as well, taste so sinfully good. read more
