Dogs are allowed in their patio and they will bring your pup and water bowl which we always appreciate since we take our pup everywhere. My wife had the Biria Ramen she thought it was okay she was only filled because she also ate the garlic rice with beef and that was also okay. Jinya Ramen has been in RTC for quite some time now and there are several that have popped up in the DMV. Jinya ramen is solid. Like the Tonkotsu but recently had a fix for Wonton Ramen noodles which you can't get at every ramen joint. The Shrimp Wonton ramen hit the spot..looks super spicy but it isnt..Personally think it is a bit lighter than your typical ramen so it's a good change of pace. There are also numerous options from a ramen standpoint so that's also appealing. Nice ambiance and a good place for a date...try it. read more

Solid Ramen spot in Reston! They have great outdoor seating, and service was super quick the Friday night we dropped by. I got the tonkotsu black - which was pretty good. the first time i ate at jinya was a huge disappointment. i got the tonkotsu original 2010, and although it was made with lots of love, the pork-based broth was just not for me. this was at the mosaic district location, which was way fancier in terms of ambiance and interior. at the reston location, this older lady was our server. she was so attentive and friendly, the visit was memorable. we shared some laughs and left extremely happy! this time, i ordered the chicken ramen in mild. i ordered a bowl of rice to finish the rest of the broth too, i highly recommend! it was truly phenomenal. my partner ordered the tonkotsu black, and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. i would just be cautious if you have a weak stomach/dont enjoy pork as much! for good service, visit reston. for more of the fancy "date night" vibe and a larger space, go to mosaic. read more

Decided to check it out. Ordered food and beer. Oddly the beer was a no show and my wife does not drink when there is food. Of course the ramen came first and then the beer which we sent it back and it was annoying. Meanwhile, the ramen dishes we got were so good any frustration quickly melted away. I had the spicy miso with ground pork. Hello flavor town. It had soba noodles that were fresh and oh so good. As I got down into the broth it got better and better. Possibly a bit heavy on salt but I gobbled it up. My wife had the tonkutsu black which she really enjoyed. Different thinner noodles and less sodium as it was not miso broth. The manager came by with the beers and apologized graciously and offered the beers for free. That was refreshing as many times when restaurants make a mistake nothing is said or done. After a subpar first attempt I decided to give Jinya another shot AND I'm so happy I did! I believe it was opening day woes during covid are over and the kitchen and Jinya team have gotten in a great groove! I made a point to re-order exactly what I had the first time. I wanted to make sure that I was able to compare the items and give an honest review. I can tell you that the quality was so much better! The Jinya bun was much better and had a delightful crunch. The toppings weren't overpowering, but rather a compliment to the tasty pork. The guoza wasn't oily and was the perfect texture, chewy with a nice sear. After 10 minutes of waiting, finally came out and I ran out of there since I had to pick up my son. When I got home The food was good but utensils were missing. From the broth to the noodles to the egg, I have 0 complaints. the Broth had the perfect spicy and pork flavor balance in it. the egg is always my favorite part, was glad it was as creamy and juicy as usual. for dessert, we decided to go with the panna cotta - something I have never tried before. I usually am not a dessert/sweet tooth gal but decided to go for it this time around. A friend and I had dinner at JINYA the other night. It was perfect, comfort food for the cold weather in our area. For a Wednesday night though, it was busier than I expected! The decor inside the restaurant is modern and the location is very spacious. They are following covid-19 safety protocols - all staff wore masks, the tables are spaced apart and you scan a QR code for the menu. Our server was super helpful with any questions we had and very attentive. Between him and the extremely welcoming manager Rafael, our service there was 100%! For drinks, we ordered the lychee martini and a lemonade mocktail. The lychee drink was so good. The slight taste of alcohol can sneak up on you so be careful! As a starter, we ordered the creamy shrimp tempura. Very good flavor, but can we talk about the shrimp? Fresh, huge and firm quality shrimp. We both ordered the same bowl of ramen - Spicy Umami Miso Ramen with an egg, fried onions and corn. The broth was tasty, delicious and full of flavor and the ramen noodles were cooked perfectly. This definitely hit the spot for me and I finished the ENTIRE bowl before I knew it! We were too full for dessert, but ordered the panna cotta to go. Went to Jinya for dinner last night with a friend for the first time after great recommendations. Overall the experience was great! The ambiance is great both inside and out. They clearly took time to decorate the inside well. The staff is all very friendly and our server was great! She checked on us a lot and made sure our drinks were always good. The salmon avocado appetizer was yummy. My Shrimp Wonton ramen was good. The ramen was cooked well and the broth was good. (It looks red but it is not spicy at all as I am a weenie with heat!) I realize the town center tends to be more expensive but my only issue was that the ramen was not necessarily worth the high cost. Around here the average bowl of ramen is about $10 and the average bowl here was $15. However the ingredients seem to be fresh. The wontons in the soup seemed homemade and the ingredients tasted fresh. It is not your usual cheap bowl of ramen. My only criticism is that I wish the broth was a bit thicker. My favorite Tonkotsu broth is a thick milky white and theirs was just a tad bland for me. Otherwise everything was delicious!!! I came to try out Jinya after a long, arduous hike with my younger sister. We got the takoyaki and Tonkotsu Spicy (I got this in HOT). Everything came out perfect. I also added a seasoned egg to my tonkotsu spicy. Don't forget to ask for the extra garlic on the side (it's free!) :) While Jinya isn't the best ramen I've ever had, it's pretty solid and always satisfies my ramen craving. My favorite thing about the tonkotsu spicy is the flavor of the broth and the fact they don't skimp on spicy level. The noodles are thick and chewy and the chasu was buttery, melting in my mouth. While I love the tonkotsu spicy and it's my ramen of choice at Jinya, I will say that I prefer the thinner noodles in JINYA Tonkotsu Black. Both are good but I like the broth in tonkotsu spicy better, which is why I tend to stick to it. Service was friendly and extremely attentive, though not as fast as the Jinya in Mosaic. I noticed the Jinya in Mosaic always comes out with our ramen extremely fast. It took awhile longer at this location, but nothing too extreme. Also, the Jinya at Mosaic seems to have a stronger customer base (never really empty and pretty busy throughout the day). I was pretty sad the Jinya here doesn't seem to get as much love. Even with people coming in for the dinner rush, it was still pretty empty in the restaurant. SO anyway, come check out Jinya in RTC and please show them some love and support :) read more

Max was our server and he was fantastic! He didn't shy away from sharing the must haves when we asked for his opinion. My husband and I are not new to Jinya. We've been to the mosaic location before, but the Reston location will definitely be our new go to spot. The interior is well decorated and modern.
