Love that this location has be on point every time we come! My fave is the Sprouting up - the Alf seasoned egg must be enjoyed right away and that silky warm decadence is to be savored. The charred sprouts give it is lovely healthy crunch and and noodles are always just perfectly al dente. Every time! The broth.... yum yum yum. My son always devours the Jinya Bun- it's so good we often get one each and an entree when we are famished... and hubby enjoys the curry. Me... it's all about the ramen. Yes, I've explored the other menu options including the cowboy ramen is good too, friends often rave about the spicy versions, and while it's all yummy, I can't not order my fave: Sprouting up. The food was amazing. My first ramen restaurant I tried and loved. It has definitely become a go to spot. The service was great. Our server was very attentive and nice. When my daughter told me she was craving ramen and I saw that there was a Jinya nearby, it was an easy choice. I've been to multiple Jinya locations all over Houston, and you can count on them to be consistent. The service is fine, but the food is always delicious. My daughter is a huge fan of tonkotsu (a fatty pork broth ramen) so we both got the Tonkotsu Black and we shared the Takoyaki (fried octopus balls). The takoyaki is served over a bed of what we've deduced is some kind of egg salad? But as weird as it sounds, for some reason the flavors worked. My daughter is a bit of a takoyaki purist, but she didn't seem mad at the egg salad on the plate. One thing I appreciate about Jinya's tonkotsu is that it comes with the marinated egg. A lot of other ramen places do not include the egg, and you have to pay $1 or more to add it. In my opinion, that deliciously seasoned, soft/medium boiled egg is one of the best things in ramen and is totally necessary, so I'm glad I don't have to pay extra for it at Jinya. read more

I've been waiting for this place to open for quite some time since it's very close to work and it's nice to have good ramen places up north. My co-workers were all shock that Ramen costs $10 instead of $0.22 from their college days so we had to explain to them the hipster ingredient angle. Jinya is great because they also have vegetarian options and chicken options for those who don't eat pork. I took a group of 4 co-workers here and we ordered some of the spicy wings apps, which were very good and juicy. As the main course we all ordered the spicy chicken noodle soup with thin noodles and cilantro. Fresh garlic is free which is something I love and jumped on immediately. the soup was very good and had a lot of flavors in it although it only had two slices of chicken. I love the wings and next time I also want to try one of the thicker noodles that is all wheat. Great place. Nice Decor. My only suggestions would be to turn the music down just a little bit during lunch so that we can hear each other at the small table and maybe to have an extra slice of meat per bowl. read more

Thank you Yelp for leading us here! We followed the five-star reviews and they didn't disappoint. We had a great experience at this location. Ambience, service, and food were excellent. Clearly a work lunch spot, it was packed when we entered at around 12:15, but we didn't have to wait for a table. The congestion cleared out around 1pm. Now onto the food! The pork gyoza was good and super juicy. It literally burst with juices in my mouth. And it tasted even better with the gyoza sauce, which to us was akin to a mix of soy sauce and chorizo. My chicken ramen was very good and my husband enjoyed the Old Skool ramen with fish oil, pork, and a delicious egg. All our dishes were served hot. We found the ramen here particularly good, and the portions abundant. On leaving, they thank you with the entire staff greeting you. It was a good choice and we really enjoyed it. I love the Jinya ramen chain. It always has very solid and delicious ramen. This specific location just opened up in Spring, so of course I had to try it out. I ordered the tonkatsu ramen black which is my favorite ramen here. It was definitely comparable to the other chain restaurants. The broth was creamy and tasty, the noodles were fresh, the egg was cooked PERFECTLY. The yolk just oozed out while the outside was cooked. The only complaint I would have about this place is that the portions were kinda small for the prices that you had to pay for the dished. My friend who was with me said that he wasn't full from the ramen though. read more

Dropped by at around 2 to find a fairly full restaurant and given a single table along the wall. Despite COVID still an issue these tables are close. I placed my order and then spent the next ten minutes with an up close and personal view of my waiter's rump while he engaged in a raucous conversation with the couple at the next table about motorcycles. The conversation was both loud and laced with profanity and did little to enhance my experience, though I know now that you can get a cheap bike down on Harwin. My appetizer (pork gyoza and a rather tasty accompanying sauce, the only reason there are any stars) became ready and my waiter was beckoned from his tete a tete with the neighbors. Both he and the neighbors apologized and revealed they were buddies outside of work. Apologies are great when coupled with a change in behavior but useless and insulting when you take up right where you left off. Such was the case here. Between appetizer and entree. I was once again provided a close look at the back of my waiter and pelleted with loud and obscene language. My lunch was ruined. read more

I really enjoyed this restaurant! Was recommended to me by a friend and did not fall short. The seating was interesting, almost like hibachi where you share seating with strangers in some areas but not so close that it's weird, this would probably be a great place to go if you're with a group. The food was amazing, I asked the waiter for a couple recommendations for appetizers and the spicy tuna tacos were AMAZING. The ramen was great as well but if I went again I'd go for the HOT flavor, the spicy was not very spicy. Had a great time coming here they aren't social distancing so if that is a concern please note that. I was amazed at the crowd they had today and thought that it was a good sign. Service was great our drinks were always full and the food came fast. I got the famous jinya bun and it was delicious! A soft milky steam bun with a delicious cut of pork that just melts in the mouth! I ordered the Spicy Tonkatsu (probably spelt that wrong) and enjoyed the whole bowl! Pretty solid ramen bar Food comes out quickly I just wish they improved their noodles. The Ichiran box ramen I order from amazon has better noodles in terms of texture and taste. This review is for takeout in Jun 2020. We tried the new flying harvest vegan ramen for the first time. It was delicious! The added tofu crumbles with the sliced tofu made it more filling compared to the spicy creamy vegan ramen. This will be my new go to ramen for when I'm craving ramen in Houston. Unfortunately due to the pandemic this location was not offering vegan appetizers. This is my biggest complaint about this location. We really wanted to try the vegan bun. read more

It's a great place to unwind at lunch or dinner since it feels upscale, but isn't intimidating. Food: I tried the JINYA Tonkotso Black with no pork, I loved it! So flavorful and hearty! My friend tried the Spicy Umami Miso Ramen, she loved having another broth option than traditional pork broth. Traveling back from a cruise out of Galveston and needing a noodle fix, we popped in. AMAZING!!! I'm a ramen addict but this was sooo much more. Decor is ideal and they have a happy hour from 3-5. Disappointed this place is so far from Dallas or I'd take up day drinking. The Jinya bun was by far the best Ive had. We both got the Miso Umami Spicy ramen and they have chili paste, soy sauce and sort of God has blessed it chili oil on the table to make it as hot or salty as you like. Delish! read more
