We were seated right away, server was very friendly and attentive. Food was very delicious both my husband and I had the Hibachi dinner.

Miso Ramen, creamy Tonkasu Ramen, Steam buns, had the Gyoza too so good!

So tasty! Cheap prices! And AMAZING service! Will be my new go to! Also cute and cozy inside!

Great place to grab a quick bite. Came in here during thunderstorm for lunch. Ordered Iza Poke Bowl. It was a great choice. It came with a Salmon, Tuna, avocado, seaweed, mixed green and rice. The sauce was light and it tasted delicious!

We were hungry after Renaissance. This is a solid spot. Prices were good and not outrageous for the area. The portions were good and filling. Service was quick. The place was clean and nice. Poke bowl 5/5 Tasty with lots of fish and rice. Soft shell crab 4/5 Tasty but the one you ate the crab, just rice left. It was a generous amount of rice. Spicy miso 4/5 Tasty and good seasoning Tonkatsu 5/5 Good broth Tako 5/5 Good portion Eel bowl 5/5 We enjoyed this. Great portions

The food at IZA Robata is always very good. I had the chicken Ramen meal and it was very tasty along with the steamed dumpling appetizer. I have also had the chicken friend rice an hibachi in the past and truly enjoyed it. The staff is always friendly and seated us quickly. They also periodically check on us, refill drinks and make sure we are enjoying the food. The restaurant is very comfortable abd clean. Stop by IZA Robata today to enjoy some Ramen or Hitachi.

You can tell when a owner takes time in their business in the food lighting and most importantly wine selection. Absolutely love coming here it is definitely one of my Ramen sushi destinations. The staff is always polite and attentive. Two of my favorite things to get are The 72 hour Ramen and the Unagi bowl.

I don't know what food critics call an "umami" flavor for some foods, but if it means really salty ramen, then this restaurant does it in spades. I ordered the iza poke, which, from the description on the menu, seemed like the tastiest of the poke options. I wanted to avoid meat because it's pretty much what my family and I have had in our entire time here in Houston. What I don't understand is their poke seems to have been mixed with a salad. Who puts lettuce and cherry tomatoes in a bowl of poke? The seafood ramen was so salty. As was the takiyoki and the gyoza dumplings, though that was tasty. I also ordered the mango boba tea, and it was really sour. I think I'm coming down with a sore throat so I decided to order some warm water like my mom and aunt did. It came out scalding hot. How hard is it to make warm water?

Very clean, attentive service and the menu was great. Also pretty affordable so you can try different things. Worth the drive. The only issues we had was the chicken was way too big for the bao itself.

We were starving and wanted something different. This spot is somewhat hidden. Nice seating area outside and the vibe of the inside is upbeat. They have a full bar and perhaps that's what they pride themselves on because we were not impressed with the dishes. We got grilled edamame, shrimp dumplings, spicy Thai shrimp ramen and hibachi shrimp. All dishes but the edamame and hibachi shrimp were bland. The ramen was just spicy. The best part of the ramen was the boiled egg and shrimp but I'm pretty sure the shrimp was grilled with the others before adding it to the ramen. Not saying that this spot is a no go. It just wasn't hitting the spot for us. I'm sure that since they had a few condiments on the side that they're expecting the customer to flavor as they'd like. Service seemed possibly tired or had too much on her plate because we'd ask questions or respond to her and she'd just have a blank stare but she was also serving a larger party next to us. I can understand that and let that pass. Overall, give the spot a try. Perhaps it was just an off night.

Great spot in the Cypress area!…read more The food was great! I don't think I had anything that I didn't like. I tried a few of my wife's sushi, chicken skewers, and some kind of dumplings she ordered, and I had the sizzling bulgogi kimchi plate. My plate came with a salad, which I wish came in a slightly bigger bowl, as it was starting to fall out. The bulgogi kimchi plate was delicious. There was a good amount of beef, and the crispy--possibly garlic or onions on top was a great addition. The amount of food on the plate was just right. I couldn't give it a full 5 stars because the service was only good when the server was actually there. I think there were 2, maybe 3 servers, with the restaurant about 70% full. We took some extra time to order, but it also took a while for someone to come back and take our order. It took a while to get a refill, and there were noticeable delays whenever we needed a server. The sushi had way too much sauce on it. It was overpowering the taste of the fish. Check the pic.

All had really great flavors but my personal favorite was the tantan noodles which came with poached egg, sauce, and garnishes that you got to mix into the noodles. Super creamy and nutty! I really loved the vibe of the restaurant too, it's small but has a homey vibe that would be great for either a small group hangout or a date. There's a lot of bars to visit nearby too. Our server was also so sweet and brought us a baggie of Japanese candies & sweets after our dinner since it was Valentine's Day. Only complaint was parking. Very small lot and very packed! Rock N Roll roll 7. Zen Mega Dragon roll 8. hamachi sashimi 9. hamachi roll 10. Extra Picante roll 11. Yakisoba noodles 12. Brussel sprouts Almost everything was absolutely delicious. The pepper tuna tataki and hamachili were fresh and flavorful. The karaage was crispy, tender and juicy, and the agedashi tofu had that perfect texture in a savory broth. All were sooo good. The Zen Mega Dragon roll, hamachi hamachi roll, and Extra Picante roll were all fresh and excellent. The only two dishes that didn't quite wow us were the hijiki and the Rock N Roll roll. Both were a bit basic compared to everything else on the table. The yakisoba noodles did take a little while to come out, but wow... they were soooo worth the wait. Savory, hot, and incredibly satisfying. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, which makes it even better. There is free parking, but the lot is small. When it's busy, finding a spot can be a little tricky. We will definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

The selection is a bit more limited for lunch, but the price is lower than dinner as well. Being AYCE, I wouldn't expect the highest quality, type, and cut of fish, but what they had was pretty solid, tasted fresh, and was delicious. A minor complaint would be they had no sashimi option, even for the tamago which I personally believe is eaten best without rice, but that's just minor stuff considering the good value here. As much as I try to find a reason not to give this place an outstanding rating, if I compare it to the AYCE category of restaurants, it did everything right. They do have a regular a la carte menu, with a selection that looks like a treat in itself. As for me, I highly enjoyed their jalapeno bomb to start. I highly doubt they used snow crab, tasted like imitation crab, but I enjoyed it nevertheless and got another order at the end. I tried a few nigiri while I was here, with eel being my favorite (and thank goodness for no bones, which was lucky because it's eel). Their tacos were an unexpected standout and is worth a bite or two. Using sheets of nori and frying it to it holds up like a shell is pretty genius and more places need to do this. I had a good time with their Burning Alaska signature maki, which has salmon as the main star. The smokiness from torching was a killer! Their curry reminded me of S&B, which might very well be the mix they used. I was a bit disappointed to not see fish katsu as an option considered it's a sushi place, but I can see the katsu curry selection being a good option as a comfort dish. I wish I had the stomach space to try out new stuff, but maybe next time. Wish someone would post a photo of the salmon skin salad, because I'm a bit curious about that!
