I had the spicy beef ramen as a take out order. Friends say everything is great here. I know the fried rice is excellent. The spicy beef ramen was not very spicy. I had siracha at house so was able to spice it up. The noodles were spaghetti. A total disappointment! The rest was excellent. Beef was sliced like brisket and tender and delicious. My boyfriend and I were in the neighborhood and wanted to try this place since I was hungry and craving a poke bowl. This place use to be a katsu place which was my favorite but unfortunately closed due to Covid. However this new concept seemed very cool so we were both interested to see what food they served! When we entered, we were seated at a booth and a server came by to give us menus. However afterwards, he never came back to check in and take our orders so we had to ask for someone. When the server finally came back, we placed our orders all at once. Their menu is pretty extensive and has a large variety to choose from but I got their poke bowl, my boyfriend got an unagi bowl, I ordered the takowasa (pickled octopus) but it didn't have a medium to be enjoyed with, such as seaweed. It was just by itself. I also asked for 2 skewers which were forgotten until we brought it up and then the server brought it out. My boyfriend didn't enjoy the unagi bowl much because there was no sauce with it. It was pretty dry. He had to ask for extra unagi sauce just to add to the rice so that the eel had some additional flavor. I enjoyed my poke bowl which was overflowing and way more food than I anticipated. The skewers were delicious though with a nice flavor to it! I would be open to trying this place again, I just hope that service has since improved and that they're more organized so that orders aren't forgotten. I wanted to avoid meat because it's pretty much what my family and I have had in our entire time here in Houston. What I don't understand is their poke seems to have been mixed with a salad. We were starving and wanted something different. This spot is somewhat hidden. Nice seating area outside and the vibe of the inside is upbeat. They have a full bar and perhaps that's what they pride themselves on because we were not impressed with the dishes. We got grilled edamame, shrimp dumplings, spicy Thai shrimp ramen and hibachi shrimp. All dishes but the edamame and hibachi shrimp were bland. The ramen was just spicy. The best part of the ramen was the boiled egg and shrimp but I'm pretty sure the shrimp was grilled with the others before adding it to the ramen. Not saying that this spot is a no go. It just wasn't hitting the spot for us. I'm sure that since they had a few condiments on the side that they're expecting the customer to flavor as they'd like. Service seemed possibly tired or had too much on her plate because we'd ask questions or respond to her and she'd just have a blank stare but she was also serving a larger party next to us. Was at a carmeet last night and I was getting hungry. Luckily, the carmeet was held in this shopping center at the Vibtage neighborhood. Iza Robata was amongst the few food area around and I was happy to visit the establishment again. I ordered my usual rainbow poke and added the shrimp tempura don. It was delicious and i love the food when it is warm and they delivered it just that. We walked the carpark around with me hugginf my poke bowls checking out all the cars and bikes. Always clean, neat, and minimalistic which allows you to appreciate the environment even more with a glass of wine. Their buns are also a favorite with my family, the soft crab and pork ones are our favorites. Spicy chicken Ramen is my go-to all the time but I like to steal some bites from my boyfriend's steak hibachi, I tell you they know how to properly cook a steak hibachi with rice and veggies. Their teas are also a great addition to the overall experience, Peach is my favorite with their peach popping balls, my daughter personally loves the "fancy" glasses they come with to add that extra touch.
