I second all the amazing reviews of this body shop. I got rear ended and needed to get my car fixed. The shop is a little difficult to locate, but I am certainly happy to have found it! I did not have renter's insurance. But as I was not at-fault in the accident, the at-fault party would have had to pay for a rental car anyways. As all this insurance stuff was being sorted out, JJ Auto Body gave me a loaner car to use. Granted it was a super ugly looking Nissan Cube that they warned could not be used for more than half an hour per trip unless I risk the car just suddenly shutting down, but it was something that could get me from point A to point B. In the meantime, they worked in the background to not only get my car fixed, but follow up with the insurance company to get the rental car stuff taken care of immediately. When the at-fault party finally provided confirmation that they will pay for a rental car, JJ Auto Body hooked me up with a local Enterprise. I drove the Nissan Cube to Enterprise and Jimmy arranged to pick up the loaner car after I got my rental car. During the entire time, they kept a constant flow of information and were very cool about everything. I was notified that my car was repaired and ready to pick up. As a result, I would have to drop off my rental car back to Enterprise. I went ahead and did that, and Jimmy arranged to pick me up and take me back to the shop to get my car back. He took the time to explain to me what exactly he had done and mentioned that the previous body shop that had fixed my car did an extremely shoddy job, so he put in extra work to rectify that. This is honestly the first experience with a body shop that has been drama free and trust worthy. They are dependable and easy to work with. I will go back to them again if I ever experience issues with my vehicle! read more

The crew at JJ Auto Body truly go over and beyond to help their customers have a great experience at their shop! I took my Toyota Avalon in today to get quotes on 3 different small cosmetic repairs for my car. Bothering me the most were paint tracks, along with a slight indentation, on my driver's side door from an incident with a yellow concrete post earlier this week. The owner buffed out the paint tracks for free, making the spot hardly noticeable! He also looked at my front bumper which had scrapes and a slight dent from an incident with a chain link fence 5 years ago. Rust was beginning to take over in a seam where the paint had come off. I have no idea how he did it - I should have asked - but within 15 minutes or so, my bumper looked great! No scrapes, no dent, new matching paint - and no charge! As if that wasn't enough, he brought to my attention that one of my tires was almost flat. He kindly filled it with air before sending me on my way to my next stop - the tire shop! I plan to go back to JJ's soon for paintless dent repair and any other needs that might come up. You can't beat that kind of experience at an auto body shop! read more

Came here last week when my dealership was trying to charge me my soul to replace my side mirror on my CX5. Quickly started searching for a body shop in my neighborhood and came across JJ's. Had great reviews so I figured I'd give them a shot. The shop is located off of Erin, close to Near Northside, which is where I've just moved to. Driving there you may think this place is going to be a little sketch, but don't be fooled! I got there a little before they opened but was immediately helped. Super friendly workers and the shop is very clean (especially for being an auto shop!). I saved $300 bucks here opposed to the dealership, and they did an amazing job replacing my side mirror, and they were even able to salvage some parts shaving even more off of my total. Fair price on parts, fair price on labor, close to my home. This place is an epic YES. I will definitely refer friends and family to JJ's, and will come here if I ever need work done on my SUV. I came to this place because of the amazing 5 star Yelp reviews. The problem I had was an easy fix for Jonathan, who I highly recommend. After buying my first new truck ever, I was pretty upset to walk out and find someone had keyed my back door.. when it still had paper plates on it! The scratch was deep and figured this would take some paint work so I messaged JJ AB on Reddit and got an immediate reply to come by and have them check it out. I came by just to get it looked at, maybe a quote, but after Jonathan checked out the scratch with one of his guys, they proposed trying to buff it out while I was there but warned it was deep and may require paint as expected. Just a short time later, I couldn't believe they got the entire thing out and the paint looks perfect again! I still can't really believe it now, a couple days later. I am a single woman and the thought of car repairs makes me so uncomfortable. I always worry about getting a good deal and quality service. This body shop had such good reviews I decided to give them a try. JJ Auto Body shop put me completely at ease. As soon as I walked in the receptionist was very polite and friendly. The mechanic came to the lobby, walked me to my car and I was able to show him the broken taillight I needed fixed. Within a few minutes he had assessed the damage, giving me a fair quote and told me he would take care of it right away. He worked on my car for about 40 minutes replacing the back taillight and walked me through everything. Jonathan was very friendly, and knew exactly what he was doing. Since I found it there, I knew that I could trust this place to complete repairs on my rear bumper from a fender bender accident. Not for one minute did I worry or stress about the repair process. The brothers at JJ's made me feel comfortable being a young woman in an auto body shop, confident that I was getting the best and correct work done for a reasonable price, and safe that my car was being left in the best hands. They explained to me the process it takes to get my car fixed step by step. They fixed the dent in the side of my car in three days, like they said they would have in finished. Our parked car was driven into by a high-speed drunk driver going the wrong way on a one-way street. The front-right of the car was mushed and the wheel pushed back. The impact was so big, the whole car was pushed onto the grass verge it was parked next to. They then drove off. We took the car to JJ Auto Body and they repaired it over the course of two weeks or so - the standard time frame, fine with that. We were excited to pick up the car and the bodywork was perfect. I'm fussy about using the term "perfect" but it applies in this case. I could not fault it. As well, it appeared that the car had been fully detailed - even an old sticker was cleaned up that we hadn't taken off properly. Amazing job. However, upon driving the car home, it was clear that it pulled severely to the right. Obviously there was something wrong and so I took it to another shop closer to me to adjust the alignment (assuming it hadn't been done). That's when we discovered that the wheel was still bent - the radius arm was bent and the wheel still wasn't centered. This was very frustrating, and not good. However, Jimmy fully owned the mistake and even came to pick up the car himself to complete the repair. As well, he made arrangements to put us in a rental car on his tab while he did the work (and a nice car too). Soon after, we got the call that it was ready and the alignment had even been done. The additional work involved getting a new knee-joint and a new radius arm, but this was done under warranty. In summary, I was shocked that the non-centered wheel could be missed, but the fact that Jimmy was all over it without hesitation told me that he was as upset as I was that this mistake had got past him and his team. The towing and the rental was a great example of customer-centered service. I was conflicted on what score to give since 5-stars would mean perfection, which it wasn't. I decided 4.5 stars would be appropriate, and given the fantastic customer service and, don't forget, the stunning body work that is his specialty, I think it's appropriate to round up rather than round down. I have been so impressed with this business from the start! I needed to bring my car in for some body work due to a collision. They did all the paperwork and had the adjustment to my insurance company the same day I came in for the first time! The whole staff was incredible and extremely professional. The front desk receptionist gave me step by step instructions on how to get back to work from the metro line since their shop is so close to the red line. Jimmy the owner was extremely professional and very welcoming. I explained to him that i use my car to do rideshare work on the side, and so he promised to make sure his staff had the work completed in time for me to get back on the road during my busiest days. And he was correct, within three days my car was finnished - looked exactly the way it did when i purchased it, and to top it all off they even detail cleaned it for me! I also would like to note that the exceptional service didn't end there! Jimmy was kind enough to pick me up from the metro stop so that I didn't have to walk the half mile to the shop to pick up my car. Unfortunately I have been to JJ Auto Body a few times for things as minor as paint buffing to pretty significant body work. I'm a repeat customer and will keep going back to see Jimmy and his team due to the great work and great communication. I drive 20+miles to JJ Auto Body and pass dozens of Body Shops on the way but I only trust this shop for my repairs. I've done small cash repairs and also worked with Jimmy recently on a claim repair of our Toyota Sienna. Jimmy worked well with my insurance company and fought for me to get the best quality parts for the repair and even refusing parts when they appeared to be damaged in transit. Ultimately this caused some delay (not Jimmy's fault) but the end result was a beautiful repair with OEM parts that I was extremely satisfied with. In addition I was able to leave my enterprise car rental with Jimmy and enterprise came over to pick it up. His knowledge of the repair process is top notch and saved me a ton of headaches. I will probably be back soon for some customization I want to work on for my Chevy Silverado. Car repairs suck but when you need work done do yourself a favor and go see Jimmy. read more
