Katie was a great instructor, I really liked the setup in terms of being able to work with different clubs, see or mistakes from multiple angles, and also see improvements just as quickly. Katie had an eye for which golfers have similar physical builds to me and my son and that also helped improve our swing. The music is pretty on point and that was just a fun little extra. We didn't grab food on this outing but they do serve food and there was loads of options nearby as well. I brought my own clubs and my son used some of theirs and it worked out great. Checked Five Iron for the first time with my friend as we were looking to check out an indoor simulator for the winter. It was a great time, it was affordable, it was a pleasant space with enough room to move around. Staff were great, beer was fresh and the pizza and Nashville sandwich I would recommend. During womens history month they had a special where groups of women got bay rental for free so I thought this would be the perfect time to check it out. It was such a great place to hit a few balls when the weather isnt ideal. Since it was the first time for a few of us one of the pro's gave us a pretty great lesson then we were off. Came here early on a Saturday for a little bit of fun and something different. Now although I had been to Top Golf I didn't know what to expect (I noted Top Golf because it's the most similar to this that I've been to) I made an appt online after checking other reviews. The only thing that was weird was locating the entrance because of construction on the street. We walk in on time and I give my name. They already had us setup upstairs. Although initially I did want to be by the bar, upstairs was so quaint and perfect, because I could miss all the shots I wanted with no on lookers . We ordered the fries and tenders and a few drinks. The fries were in point and I'd like to consider myself a fry connoisseur. They had several (hundreds I'm sure) of courses to choose from and a few games as well. I also want to add that the wallpaper in the bathroom was insanely good and they had all the lady things you'd need on a date in the bathroom, which was a nice touch! We randomly popped in here on a Friday night after a previous engagement fell through. I'm happy to say that it worked out nicely. Apparently, it's usually packed on Fridays but maybe the rain/hail worked out in our favor and we were started as soon as we walked in without a reservation. Your play includes golf clubs and balls to hit so you don't need to be golf enthusiast to enjoy. I love the simulation of your ball trajectory and advanced stats are monitored. You can even play around with wind characteristics if you want a greater challenge. When you're not golfing, there's table tennis, a simple basketball net, and a full bar. What struck me the most was how reasonably priced it was for such a good time. A half an hour of play was less than $30 and drinks were a bargain! I would highly recommend and will return. read more

I don't golf, but I do play ping pong, and this place has a great, free table in the bar. They have paddles and balls to borrow, so you don't have to bring your own. The staff is super friendly, Brie at the front desk and Martin behind the bar are especially great. They have a decent selection of beer on tap, with at least a few local options. Martin the bartender whipped us up a few really tasty cocktails I'd never even heard of. It is also super clean and very well air conditioned, so, overall a great place to spend a few hours out of the heat. read more

My golf swing was off causing me to score the worst in my league. I saw an ad on Instagram for swing evaluation at Five Iron Golf and the instructor was a woman so I signed up for a session. Easy parking out front and in a garage across the street. Lively yet laid back 3 story venue. Service was cheerful & friendly from the front door. Then I met Pro Instructor Katie Mid. I was immediately comfortable working with her as she understood how the female body (breasts) affect swing, stance, and arm position. Her knowledge of mechanics and sport is extensive. Katie erased all the backwards training my two previous male instructors provided. I signed up for a lessons package just to start. Oh, and the drinks are delicious, I was too excited to eat. I got a full Trackman report for reference with all of Katie's notes. Five Iron has several options for practice, playing or instruction 7 days/week. read more

It is a great place for a birthday party, or to just meet up with a few friends. Golfing can be a bit pricey the longer you stay, FYI. Bring your own clubs, or use theirs! It doesn't matter, which is super convenient. The digital analysis on your swing is also really great if you are looking to get better at golf! It would be ideal for lessons, which they also offer. Wonderful atmosphere and concept, SUBPAR customer service, time management, and overall process. We paid for an hour of play, yet were being rushed to get out. This is because we arrived at 1:25 for a 1:30 play time. However, there were customers still playing in our bay. Because of the time it took (approx 15min) to get the other customers out, clean the space, and show us the simulator, we didn't start play until 1:45ish. THEN we were rushed with a 15 min warning at 2:15. If we didn't start playing until 1:45, the hour we paid for should have been up at 2:45 and the 15 min warning should have come at 2:30. The whole process is disorganized. I complained that it took a while to even get to the bay/we were being ripped off and after some time they kindly extended us a half hour without charge. I would suggest they use timers that start as soon as the set up is complete. read more

Went here for the first time for a company event and really enjoyed the space. There was a few different groups that were having events when we went and spots to do different activities throughout the place. We had the back room and there was a spot to golf like you were at the driving range along with a spot to kick a soccer ball at the goal. A full bar was available and a table set up along the wall was where they had food put out that had been ordered ahead of time. The food was decent, your typical "bar food" and the space was comfortable to host a good sized group and not feel claustrophobic. So this was my 2nd time visiting and we had a great time. Martin assisted us with everything. My date was a little late but since they weren't busy due to the nice weather, he was able to push our reservation back. He got me started with a drink and set up the simulator so by the time he arrived we were set to go. Any time I had a question, he was there to help out. We played mini golf, basketball, zombie dodgeball and carnival games. They had many more games to choose from. We ordered wings and fries and they came out in no time. All in all the drinks and food were great. If you don't want to play the simulator games they have ping pong and I think pool too.
