The Pizza is actually not bad for the price. I would go back to eat here, and I'm pretty picky about Pizza. Gets a little busy sometimes.

5 stars for the truck stop but the restaurant is closed down and have a food truck there now. This is one of the only truck stops in a very long stretch with real milk!!!!! Always clean inside also! Everyone else has shelf stable milk for some reason. read more

One of the few places to stop in this part of the trip back to Texas. And conveniently located next to the gas station and truck stop. The interior has a unique layout as if this wasn't the original function of this venue, but they make good use of the space. They have a pretty expansive menu for a "greasy spoon" style truck stop, with all day breakfast and some specials. The okra was overcooked. The chicken and dressing was mostly dressing. And the cornbread was as dry as a new sponge. However, the hull peas and the burger were well made and seasoned. We split the coconut special cake as an Easter treat with the special. It was sooooo sweet. The topping was as if I was eating a coconut peep. I don't think I would stop at JJ's again unless, like today, my options were limited. Cool, Mom and Pop stop right off the hwy. Clean restrooms, game room and extremely friendly staff every one was sweet and hospitable, which I loved. For breakfast, I ordered a veggie omelet with biscuits and gravy. They were kind enough to accommodate my hubby's request for an eggwhite veggie scramble and biscuit with a delicious local honey, yum! With two coffees. Terrible! I been coming here for 5 years and never been charged to park overnight. I have even asked staff previously and they said they only charge for long term parking more than one day etc. Now they have new owners the restaurant closes early and they charge for overnight parking now. Considering I love to cook, I find it extremely difficult to eat something somewhere without dissecting it. So let's talk about it . Starting with the tomatoes.. fresh tasting.. nothing but salt and pepper is needed for them to be good. 8 out of 10 Cornbread .. not enough tea in my glass to choke down that disaster .. somewhere someone's grandma is offended . 0 out of 10 Peas... love them or hate them... I love them , salt and pepper with butter not much you can do with them. The sauce they're in is thick and I'm picking up a sour hint.... This place had a nice atmosphere when I walked in and the waitress. She was really nice. Stated that it might take a half hour to get my food because they only have one cook. It took an hour to get three pieces of fish and then the fish was overcooked, no flavor buried in sauce. The salad was just lettuce a little cheese and tomato chunks. The service was amazing other than I had to wait for an hour. Not her fault but who ever owns it come in and cook yourself or you won't have a restaurant to come too all I wanted to do was get something quick to eat and go to sleep ruin my evening. read more

#98-2021 Just south of Little Rock about a half an hour going towards Texarkana on interstate 30 at Malvern since the old JJ's truck stop. Still family owned mom and pop it's been through many changes through the years as far as branding and a whole lot more. It's still 24/7 365 Cafe included. I don't know if they still have the buffet or not I didn't really ask I came in early nite about 9pm went to sleep got up early in the morning had breakfast ready to roll. Walking in it still looks like about 1994 floor wise and the boost the last time I think it was remodeled much of it still retains its 80s look a lot of old school stuff it is an old place does show its age. Live a little kitty country kind of things you can buy bric-a-brac and stuff like that a few other things there. That's the restaurant building now the main gas station diesel pumps and fuel building it's a separate place where it always has been out where the scale is. Still has a very large truck parking lot although be careful there's a lot of chuckholes in there. There was once talk about having pay the park but it still hasn't come around can could still park for free I had a simple country breakfast when I came in that early morning it was still dark out two eggs sausage patties hash browns and instead of toast biscuit and gravy. It was average straight across the board eggs tasted fine hash browns were just simple the country gravy wasn't a fancy recipe and the sausage could have used an extra piece but it was what it was for the price the coffee was okay. The can was clean at that show its age there too left can use a little remodel but I highly doubt it cuz it's just a small little independent mom and pop place that has their definite country clientele that comes in and keeps them in business along with the truckers.. Food wasn't very good. Dry over cooked biscuits the gravy barely saved them. The eggs were weird. No seasoning on eggs or hash browns. The pancake was good but can you mess up a pancake? No music on very weird andquiet you could hear the metal spatulas on the grill in back and you didn't want to talk much cause everyone could hear each other. Went inside to eat, and took forever to take my drink order let alone get my food order done, had the chicken tenders and fries, something that can be done in 15-20 minutes on a busy day. 35-40 minutes in and I'm thinking maybe there's several tenders they need to fry. NOPE, you get 2 tenders and a handful of fries for a grand total of $12 with a sweet tea (because their coke machine was messed up), taste was good, service was ok, nice waitresses but took too long to even look in my direction. Don't recommend coming here unless you're doing a 10 and have nothing in the fridge. If it becomes pay to park, I'll definitely drive farther. read more

They were very accommodating of our needs with kids. It felt more like we were being welcomed into someone's home as opposed to a public restaurant. We happened to stop by on a Sunday and they offer a buffet. So, we went with that. They did have ribs, chicken, meatloaf and some sides. Not a very large selection. They did have a salad bar also. Desserts were just scattered around on end tables. Overall, the food was okay, but not a big selection. ABsolutely HORRIBLE. RUBEN SANWICH....old spoiled corned beef. One bite and I sent it back. Wouldn't feed that meat to a dog. Replaced spoiled with a hamburger. Overcooked ground meat which tasted old was on a decent bun. I can find a bun anywhere. Simply rotten hamburger. Salmon patties were undercooked and mushy inside. Totally FISHY tasting and inedible. STAY AWAY IT'S A PAY LOT There should be a zero star option since one star is still being way too generous for this place. There are no signs stating it is now a pay lot only the old signage for short-term and long-term parking. So after a long day of driving, grabbing a bite to eat and finally going to sleep, some peon is banging on the door a couple hours later. Drivers who didn't go in when they got there (or checked the reviews, but your regulars would have no need to check them now would they) wouldn't have known that it is now a pay parking lot, so now that they're thoroughly pissed off imagine how hard it is going to be to go back to sleep if not impossible. Way to help keep the drivers safe on the road. Not only are the driver's going to find someplace else to park now, your waitresses are going to lose money because nobody's going to want to come in there and eat either, I'll be bad enough they might have to stop there to fuel. Oh wait there's that great incentive If you get 60 gallons of fuel you don't have to pay for parking. That works great for the guys who are only allowed to fuel at certain stations, yours not being one of them, and you know it. Word of mouth travels fast and hopefully you'll be shut down real quick, because you've pissed off the wrong group of people. These are the folks who keep the world running. ThIs was a good place for our neighborhood a while back but last time we went, we had to wait and wait and wait for the children's food. Simple hamburgers that I could have gone home and made myself and brought back to serve our three little ones before they got the dishes out to them. Adults food was very mediocre at best. Please, if you're going to survive the future, (I used to be a restaurant consultant & ive turned some places around) you're going into winter, close, remodel, or just bulldoze and start again. Light the lot! Make this place glow for miles. Pave the lot and put down stripes-you'll draw more drivers away from Little Rock & the chain truck stops. Half your lot was empty but 10 miles away they're jam-packed- (have a fund for upkeep-add .02 to every purchase.) hire a cook who cares, simplify your menu & make ONE dish that people come from miles around to try. One of the worst food experiences...it was a food disaster! Everything was cold, the cornbread muffins were rock hard, beans were cold, fish sandwich and fries cold too. The cod on the sandwich was really mostly breading and nearly no fish, the bun was dollar store quality. Wanted soup but they had none, however the menu dipicted soup. It took forever to get the food and the waitress decided to mop the floor near my table with some chemicals that were pretty loud smelling. $30 bill for nasty food. read more

Buffet choices were decent and food tasted ok, but one worker wreaked so heavily of smoke and perfume, we could not enjoy our meal. We complained and were told she's a relative of the owner and mostly there on weekends. Brown 's buffet is much, much better and worth the extra drive. read more

We are new boat owners; one of our trailer tires had a blow out about a mile from the 106 exit. We called and were told that they could come to our location and that the tire would be $107. They came and changed the tire, which we were very thankful for, but were charged an additional $198 for a grand total of $305. The guy that came to our location, which was the same guy that spoke to my husband on the phone, then told him that if he would have taken the tire in himself it would have only been $45. Seems like a good honest business would have said that upfront or at least been honest over the phone about the price. We live in Benton and will never use or recommend this business. read more
