[[HIGHLIGHT]]We came here with 5 adults and a kid, we were squeezed into a booth and we kept bumping elbows to eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food was decent, but the eating experience did take away from the enjoyment.

    Espresso Martini

They were out of a few things when we went, but the food we got was good. We got the chicken Alfredo pizza and a burger with tater tots. The burger was kinda small but good.

Josie and the blonde spent more time talking in the back talking then serving the table. Drinks stayed empty.

Pork Belly Rice Bowl (special of the day)

Simply a gem! The food was delightful. The service was pleasant. The restaurant was inviting and comfortable The bartender suggested one of the specials they had that day. I am so glad he did. It was absolutely fantastic. They called it a pork belly rice bowl. The pork had a sweet, crispy exterior, but would melt in your mouth as you bit into it. I took my time creating a perfect bite by gathering a little of each ingredient into each forkful. It was not only delicious, but fun to eat, too!

    Flimsy dough, raw toppings

Picked up a to go order, worst uncooked pizza I've ever had with raw toppings and the staff was even worse than the Pizza. Terrible unapologetic attitudes.

It was a drink recommendation from the bar. Delicious!

Met my friend for brunch, seated immediately! Cute waitress (cant remember her name) promptly brought our drinks. We ordered a pepperoni pizza. It was great! It's a cozy place, not too loud. Will be back again!

Sooooo, let's begin! Sauced provided me and my bestie with a nice New Year's Day brunch! I've been meaning to try this spot during my time in Little Rock. For some reason that time never happened until I moved miles away! Anywho, let's dive in shall we? We ordered the cinnamon rolls, chicken biscuits, duck wings 'n waffles, and the a mimosa bucket. My bestie throughly enjoyed her chicken and biscuit with the crispy home fries. She devoured them. The cinnamon roll was a treat! Two small rolls served warm with a nice icing. The duck wings and waffles were just ok. A bit too greasy FOR ME.....but I can be a picky eater. However, the duck wings are a very popular item so please do not let me stop you from ordering. The duck wings are offered in a variety of flavors. The ultimate experience has to go to Lex!!! Our bartender/server. Lex was sooooo attentive and knowledgeable. If we even looked at an item she knew about and was eager to recommend it! Give her a raise! She made our experience amazing. Check out my photos. They offer several specials. I personally love the fact they offer all of their pizzas anytime of the day! Believe it or not. Everyone doesn't like traditional breakfast. Myself included. Plenty of options. This is for sure a spot to check out to switch up your brunch!

In town for Thanksgiving & we were looking for a bar and good pizza to watch the football. We sat at the bar, and they had happy hour 4-6. I had the white linen drink, it was delicious that my husband ordered it too on top of his drink. We had the meatball with the egg on top, which is okay. Then, we had the build your own pizza and ordered it crispy. It came out white dough at the bottom & chewy. Food wise, it's an okay place to eat. Drinks and service were awesome! The ambiance is like a combination of Italian restaurant & a sports bar. Didn't like how they didn't specify the liquor fee of $13 till we asked. Apparently, it's something new, but should have stated the % not just an amount.

Visiting home and decided to try some of the new restaurants in town. I really enjoyed the happy hour. It's from 4pm-6pm. The Pompear is delicious!!! While I didn't get the Peach Bellini at the $8 happy hour price it was tasty as well. I also tried the frozen punch. It wasn't my favorite. It taste like cough medicine to me but my friend enjoyed it. Feel free to ask for a sample before making your choice. The Alfredo was okay. The blackened seasoning on the shrimp really helped give flavor to the dish. I felt the Alfredo was pretty bland. I usually don't cook or add salt to meals but I did for this one. I would come back for happy hour. The bartenders were super friendly.

Good pizza, drinks, and service. Wasn't a fan of the service charge for paying with a credit card. Who carries cash/check these days?

The food was delicious and surprising, in that an item which might sound ordinary was absolutely and delightfully not. I cannot recommend The Root Cafe highly enough.

Traveling through a Little Rock for work, my group decided to grab breakfast before flying out. We came in due to the raving reviews from a multitude of online sources and they did not disappoint. I ordered the Root Benny and the blueberry muffin based on the host's recommendation. First cut into my poached egg and I already knew it was the start of a culinary journey. Absolute flavor and texture perfection. The seasonal greens (steamed kale?) paired so well with the greens and the crostini was the perfect vehicle for yolk dipping. The blueberry muffin was small but delicious--exactly what you should expect from a muffin. I wish I would've remembered to order the cookies to go. I suppose I'll have to come back.

It really wasn't that busy, but our server was pretty inattentive. We waited longer than we should have for simple things, and it was hard to get their attention. The food was decent, but my biscuit was basically falling apart the whole time, which made it kind of frustrating to eat. The biggest disappointment was the coffee. It honestly tasted like straight cleaning chemicals -- I took one sip and couldn't drink it after that. Not a terrible experience overall, but definitely not great either. I'd maybe give it another shot, but this visit was just average for me.

The restaurant was fairly clean but did notice a few crumbs on the floor more than likely after effects from a very busy morning. Prices were a bit higher than what we expected especially for breakfast but it proved to be well worth it in taste. We had biscuits and gravy and a sausage egg and cheese biscuit with home fries and a side of gravy all very delicious. We did have a slip on our order but the waitress quickly fixed it and made us very happy. This is on our list of favorite breakfast spots in town for now on!

We walked in to a large employee meeting they were having at tables near the registers. This felt strange as only a couple people were actually working and there was a manager talking to the entire staff that this or that can get you fired. Finally someone who was actually working took our order as he darted back and forth from kitchen to register. It's obvious there is no employee lounge but there has to be a better way to conduct meetings and communicate within the staff. We were never given a number or anything so we waited at the registers for quite a while after ordering. We finally saw him bring food to another couple who had been waiting since we walked and figured out, oh we sit and they bring it out. It would not have been hard for the employee to let us know we could sit. There was nothing ultimate about the ultimate chicken sandwich. Didn't even come with tomato and they forgot the lettuce. It was dry and bland. I reached for a napkin and there were none to be found in the dispenser. (I just grabbed a dispenser from another table easy enough) My son's cheeseburger was fine according to him but we both agreed the fries were awful. Barely warm at the start of the meal and cold and stale by the end of it, the shoestring fries were as edible as an actual shoe. Nothing remarkable about the steamed broccoli no seasoning to be found but at least it was in fact, real steamed broccoli, even though it didn't come out until we were halfway through our dinner. 3/4 into the meal a manager named Jasmine came to ask how things were and pleaded for honesty. She was absolutely fantastic and provided top tier customer service as she listened to me and did everything she could to make it right, including treating my son and I to very tasty milkshakes. This woman deserves a raise, I could tell she was sincere and cares about customers and the food. The menu is so large and the prices are fair, I may come back to try it again, but ONLY because of the 5 star service I got from Jasmine.
