Vulgar Brewing Company keeps getting better and better. They now have a chef and the food offerings, which were already really good, are now outstanding. We came over here for dinner. The brews selection was extensive, I had their IPA which was smooth and hoppy, perfectly brewed. Their pretzel sticks are superb, and we tried two of their pizza selections that left us licking our fingers. Service was flawless. The server we had knew her beers well and her recommendations were spot on. The clientele was festive, happy and congenial, lending the brew house a wonderful ambiance. Vulgar opened just months before the pandemic hit. They not only survived and were one of the sources of great local beers, but now they are a full brew restaurant serving delicious food. Good vibes, good beer, and good pizza! Accidentally stumbled upon this place but I will most definitely be back! The keg list was a bit limited the day we went due to some beers kicking shortly before we arrived, but we still made the best of it. We sat at the beer and were greeted immediately by a friendly bartender. He helped us choose a good beer for our pallet and then we ordered a pizza to share. It was affordable and delicious! The staff are amazing group of folks. Always friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. They always keep you posted as to where your order is in the process. For a brewery, the noise level is minimal. The decor is not the usual commercial tacky wall decoration. It's a very tasteful look to the bar and dining areas. In the nice weather, you can also eat outdoors if you like too. Amazing pizza! I loved the crust so much. Very crispy and flavorful. I loved the flavor of the pizza too. The habanero honey wasn't too hot nor too sweet, just added a bit more complexity to a pepperoni pizza. We were greeted promptly and served water immediately which I appreciated. The place was about half full, but the food service was pretty slow. We waited almost half an hour for a pizza. Minus one star for that, but it won't keep me from going back. read more

while passing through the town we saw this little joint and saw that people were saying how good the pizza was. some were saying how comparable it was to a new york or new jersey pizza but it was quite the opposite. being from new york I will say this is the worst pizza i've ever had. when we got the pizza it was cold and hard. the dough was so tough and crazy hard to bite into. the garlic twists were flavorful but dry. the only good thing was the marinara sauce. Coming across Vulgar Brewing Company was by a simple Yelp search for places to eat near Tilton, NH. We had decided it was worth going in the opposite direction than our trip to BJ's & make our way back. My husband & I are fans of breweries for the atmosphere & to try some new beer options. We were able to get right in & claim a booth. The bar was pretty full. We were immediately brought water (no ice in an 8oz cup) & greeted by our waitress. Instead of plates, they use the pizza pans, which I think is a nice touch. The menu is limited to a handful of appetizers (all made in some fashion with pizza dough), a couple of salads (with the choice of 3 homemade dressings), a few pizzas (small 10" or large 16") & an option to build your own pizza. Our orders were placed on a smartphone, which is also how we paid. I posted a couple pictures of the garlic twists & the Chicken Ranch 16" pizza. Both were excellent & their homemade ranch dressing is AWESOME. It's better than Hidden Valley, no joke! They put just the right amount of it on the pizza. The dough & the thickness of the crust is just right. It has a great crunch & isn't overwhelmingly thick or chewy. Had to bring the rest home! Okay, let's talk about the beer. I can't speak to how my husband's was, but I had the Porter Schmorter. Definitely one of the best porters I've ever had. There are some significant issues at this place that prevent it from being a good brewery. Although the beer is decent (but where isn't it? It's NH), the food is OK at best. The pizzas aren't great. We have tried a few of them and they always tend to be bland with a bizarre aftertaste. But my main issue today is the service. I was asked by the waitress if my allergy is "real" - are you kidding me?! You're asking a customer if I'm lying to you about what I can eat? That was beyond rude. And to top it all off, they ask for 30% tip on the credit card payment screen. Get out of here with that. Not coming back to this nonsense. read more

We really enjoyed our visit to Vulgar Brewing Company. First of all, it's next to a really cute park that'd be great to hang out and take a break in. We went in the evening in December, so it was freezing out and the park was decorated with Christmas lights in the trees. Very pretty, but we hurried inside to the warmth. The place was not very busy at all. The staff greeted us as we walked in, sat us immediately, and brought our menus. The staff was all very friendly and seemed genuinely cheerful. We ordered a couple pizzas and a couple flights of their craft beers. Let's start with the beers. GREAT flavors. Some of them very unique. Floral notes, chocolate and toffee, pear, and tart cherry flavors made for some excellent refreshments. There were so many great options on the pizza menu, I'm not 100% certain which one we went with ... I THINK it was the Marceau. And I KNOW I also got a Sicilian with sausage, mushroom, and onion. That one takes a little extra time to cook (which they let you know from get-go), but we weren't in any hurry, and I thought it was well worth it. All in all, everything was great. The layout of this restaurant is excellent. Parking is plentiful on Central Street but the walk in entrance is right off the park by Smith Street. There is an outdoor dining area. The menu looks great and next time I'm there I'll make time for that. I came for the beer. Wow! What a great find! We are regulars at our local brewery, so we always try to visit some when we travel. We sat at the bar, where we met Jason, one of the owners. I had a delicious Saison, and my husband had a zweickelbock (sp?) and a Helles lager. Both tasty. We also had the spinach and feta pizza rolls - sooo good, and very filling. Staying in Laconia and wanted to try all the breweries nearby - first stop: Vulgar Brewing. Great space in downtown Franklin, NH. We sat outside since they're dog friendly which is a big plus for us. They have table service but you order everything online which made it really easy. Staff was awesome and so friendly - they even gave our pup a bowl of water! They service brick oven pizza and other snacks. We got a little bit of everything. The pizza was very good! My favorite was the "escardough" which were mozz stuffed garlic knots! Their ranch was a crowd favorite and our server said it's house made!! You can definitely tell. If you're nearby, add these guys to your itinerary! read more

Me and my friend came here after hiking Mount Kearsage! We were seated right away! Got a few different beers and were happy they had more than just IPAs! Pizzas we got the Thai One On and it was so good! Also tried a regular cheese pizza and that was also great! We also got their bratzels as an appetizer with the beer cheese dip and both were delicious! Parking is no issue at all on or off street available. We found another amazing brewery. Vulgar Brewery is located in downtown Franklin NH. It has a small inside area and in the warmer months they have outside seating. We went in the middle of Friday afternoon and there was plenty of seating. The staff was very friendly and prompt. My husband and I each had a beer, we had spinach and fete rolls as an appetizer. For our main meal my husband had a chicken ranch pizza, my daughter had a salad and I had a chicken Thai pizza. All of our food was amazing. I have been to vulgar brewing company many times since I moved back to New Hampshire. Their beers are always good, and their food is very imaginative. I suggest trying escardough which is dough-wrapped mozzarella balls with garlic butter & red pepper flakes with marinara. SO GOOD! They have trivial pursuit cards on all the table so my grandson loves going through and playing trivia with me when we go. Their pizza is really tasty but the best food they have bar none are their homemade cannolis. Time we went we had a chocolate chip and strawberry and they were a lip smacking good. They do have some limited hours which is the only reason I did not give them a 5 star rating. There are times after 8:00 PM that I would like to stop in for a beer and a canoe but unfortunately they are not open. read more

I have been hearing about how great Vulgar is since they opened. We happened to be in Franklin recently so we gave it a shot. Between us, we ordered a cheese pizza, pretzel twists and a Caesar salad. The pretzel twists were phenomenal: multi-layered chewy, crispy goodness. I would go back just to have them again. The Caesar salad was ok, not the best I've had, not the worst. It was a large salad so it could easily have been split (I took home half of it). The pizza was also just ok. It had good flavor but I found the crust to be a bit stiff and less chewy than I prefer.
