I came here for the first time last night with a group of 5 other ladies for a bachelorette party. We had the best time with the best food and drinks. We were greeted by Josh, one of the owners who immediately offered to take our photos in front of the gorgeous entrance. Once we finished this photoshoot, he brought us to our table underneath the gorgeous wisteria tree in the center of the restaurant. He chatted with us a little about the restaurant and told us about the printer for the espresso martinis. He had one made for the bride with her fiancé's face on it. How cool?! We were soon kindly greeted by our server who offered suggestions on cocktails and answered questions on appetizers. We ordered the foie gras and chicken and truffle dumplings. Both were amazing but the foie gras was my favorite! I also ordered the Lotus Bloom cocktail. It's amazing! I don't like extremely sweet or strong cocktails. This was the perfect drink. For dinner I had the salmon. Now, I have had salmon at multiple restaurants. When I say this is probably the best salmon I've ever had, I truly mean it. It paired so well with the jasmine rice. I'm actually craving it now thinking about it. We opted out of dessert as we were full and the drinks were sweet enough, but I definitely would have ordered the cupcake Ferris wheel! Next time! Chef King came to our table at the end of our meal and brought the bride a chocolate mochi. Before we left, Josh came back and spoke with us for a while. We had great conversation with him about where he's from, the restaurant, and his vision. You can tell he is so passionate about what he does and loves serving his guests. We were very excited to try this place but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. Our server was very good but that's about as much as can be said. Food was bland and extremely overpriced. $25 for chicken fried rice that was below average at best. With so many food options in OKC now, this one needs to be off your list. read more

My wife has been hankering to come here with the tree in the middle!! Found this place on the Gluten Free App. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive. I ordered the ribeye, my wife ordered ceviche and seaweed salad. My steak was extremely flavorful and cooked perfectly. W's ceviche was really good and the seaweed salad had too much dressing. I will start by saying this restaurant has great potential but the service was disorganized and very slow .I went with 10 girls for the girls night dinner and its a great deal including a drink ,appetizer, meal and dessert. The problem was when you order your drink w the meal it doesn't come out until the meal and we were not told until we asked 30min later .We had to go to the bar and get our own drinks .It was very busy and I think they didnt have enough staff to accommodate everyone. There was bartender and he was awesome but it was alot for 1 person. 100000/10 Listen to me....RUN to this place. It is incredible! I recommend making a reservation. We went on 2/5/26 at 5:15pm (they opened at 5pm) and there were already tables of people. This place is stunningly beautiful. It had a giant tree in the middle of it with gorgeous flowers hanging from the ceiling. The chairs are velvet, the napkins are pink. It's very romantic. Perfect for date night. The wait staff was so attentive along w super helpful explaining drinks and food. This is an Asian food restaurant and had a lot of unique options. The attention to detail all the way down to the bathroom decor is superb. On another note- it is across the street from the OKC memorial so if you want to visit it before/after, it's convenient. read more

~Girl dinnerrr~ this is a great concept and my friends and I loved it for a weeknight. You got to try a lot of different things on the menu. My friend is gluten free, and most things were able to be accommodated for her. Our waitress even texted the chef to ensure the bao buns we ordered were gluten free. She was so helpful! Our food was great. The girl dinner is smaller portions, but with sharing everything I felt full by the end! Our favorite app was the shishito peppers. The hummus was good, but only came with 3 tiny pita so we had to order more (which cost extra..). I wish they'd have had more cocktail options, but the one I got was great! My favorite main was the veggie potstickers, but they were all good. The mochi icecream was fantastic - I wish I could buy that to have at home. The restaurant is decorated so whimsical with flowers hanging from the ceiling. There are TVs which had the soccer game on that we were able to watch. We've been 3 times now and none of those times were great. They were all just "meh". The appetizers are ok, but you can skip the entrees. I ordered a "Louboutin Kiss" cocktail, which came in a gaudy plastic container shaped like lips. I'm all for a fun cup, but the drink itself was warm, overly sweet, unbalanced, and I'm not sure how the inside even gets cleaned. Our entree was overcooked, the server didn't come by in a reasonable amount of time so we could address it. JK is very much style over substance. This restaurant is absolutely stunning visually. It's so pretty everywhere, with very long flora hanging from the ceiling, and if you pay attention, you can see the giant (sadly fake) tree in the middle of the room that grows the wisteria. It's very inspirational. I came here with a work group of about 20. They sat us at a long table, and our booth was this fun pink floral couch. They do have a dress code, so check that out before you come. There is no parking lot, so good luck circling around to find parking. Our server was Kendal, and she was kind all night, taking care of our needs. Because it was a work event, we ordered many bites and entrees to enjoy. I'll list them below, starting with my most liked dishes: #1: The JK hummus & pita - I could not get enough of this dish. I did not want to share. It's better than the homemade hummus I make at home! I want more as I write this.... 2: Oxtail & bone marrow fried rice - super flavorful and yummy once you mix in the bone marrow. My husband loved it and only allowed me a few bites, haha. 3: Wagyu short rib nachos - incredibly cooked short rib with delicious sauces and toppings. I would get this as an entree by itself! 4: Pork belly bao - pretty good, could also be an entree by itself. I liked the crunchy toppings, but had higher taste expectations for the pork belly. 5: Double-roasted pork belly - This was pretty much what was in the bao listed above, but with no toppings. 6: Lobster tacos - everyone told me that lobster was supposed to be a different flavor profile from other fish, but I couldn't tell a difference. I liked the crunch of the taco and the mango, but didn't love the lobster filling. At least it wasn't dry. 7: Teriyaki chicken - a bit dry and chewy, I do not recommend. No sauce on it. 8: JK pad thai - All I took away was that it tasted burnt. I don't remember anything else about it, except that I had to mix in my own toppings, which was messy on a plate instead of a bowl. I was afraid to say something because someone nearby told me that that's just how pad thai is made, but I'm not convinced because I've had non-burnt pad thai before and I loved it. It was almost like they had added way too much liquid smoke, maybe? I was so confused. For dessert: 1: Guanaja chocolate fondant - I wish this was what I ordered, because the mochi ice creams I got did not hit the spot like the chocolate on this dish did. It was a great combination of warm, gooey chocolate with raspberry sorbet, and it left me wanting more! The mochi ice creams had too thick mochi, or maybe I just like mochi donuts instead, haha. I loved this place and would highly recommend it. The food was excellent, well presented, served piping hot and quick, and bursting with delightful flavor. I had the pad Thai and the lobster & shrimp shumai and both were absolutely delicious! My compliments to the chef. My dining companions had the vegetable fried rice and the lamb chops which they both loved. They noted that the dishes were so full of flavor that they don't even present you with the sauces so common to Asian dining establishments. You won't find the hot mustard, soy sauce, or chili sauce on the table...and the food is so good that you won't miss it! The staff wa welcoming, friendly, and attentive and greeted us immediately when we came in. The interior design and attention to detail really stands out here. It is excellent and is worth visiting just for the design. Honestly, I have never taken nor posted pictures of a restaurant bathroom before but this one was so beautiful that I wanted you to see it for yourself! I went here with a group of friends for the Girl Dinner. I would say $35 for a cocktail and 3 courses is a great deal. There were 5 of us so we were able to order multiple appetizers and almost all main courses. For the appetizers, the shishito peppers were the best! The edamame was tasty. The hummus was really good but only came with 3 chips. For 3 more chips it was an extra $3. We ended up leaving some of the hummus because we ran out of anything to eat it with. :( The main courses came with either fries or rice. I had the fries but everyone that ordered rice said it was dry. The main dishes were a good size and all were tasty. For the 3rd course was dessert. You had a choice between 3 flavors of mochi. Walking into JK by Chef King feels like a Temu Vanderpump knockoff, like someone went to Caesars Palace once, got drunk, and placed a massive Temu order hoping it would translate into a "concept." It didn't. The whole place is gauche and tacky with zero self awareness, filled with equally questionable patrons who somehow match the chaos. The staff is impressively rude, like you're inconveniencing them just by being there, and the drinks are straight up diabetes in a cup. Overly sweet, heavy handed, and clearly meant to mask painfully poor mixology. It's all flash, no taste, and not even in a fun way. If eurotrash was a restaurant this would be it. read more

As a big fan of fusion restaurants, I was excited to finally try this place. The atmosphere reminded me a bit of La Brasa, with vibrant decor and a colorful, fun vibe that's perfect for a casual date or a night out with friends. My coworkers, who love this spot, brought me here. I really enjoyed the creative cocktails and some of the appetizers we ordered. However, one of my coworkers did experience some stomach issues afterward, so I'm not sure about consistency. As for the main dish, I've only tried the pad Thai, and unfortunately, it wasn't for me, the flavors were surprisingly bland and sour, and the steak didn't seem like the best quality. Dropped in without a reservation to the bar seat on a Friday night. This was my first time trying this restaurant and I will have to say, parking is not ideal. I parked down the street and although it was a nice evening, not the best for walking far in heels. I was greeted kindly by the hostess and motioned to seat myself at the bar. Upon seating, I noticed the bar is way too tall for the chairs. I am a petite woman, but even the man sitting next to me struggled to get his elbows over the bar. The chairs need to be at least 2 to 4 inches taller. I was welcomed by the wonderful bartender named Levi. He generously allowed me to taste a wine before ordering a glass. I went with the Malbec and it was delicious. I ordered the seaweed salad and absolutely loved it. It was portioned larger than other restaurants, which I appreciated. For my main, I ordered the lamb chops rare. They did not come out rare, but the sauce was very tasty, much to my enjoyment. My only complaint is this restaurant doesn't have any steak knives. I think this is very unprofessional for a $40 plate of red meat that needs to be cut off of the bone. The menu also includes other cuts of steak. Service and ambience are top tier even if the main course was lacking. The restrooms are single stall, so there may be a wait if you need to use the facilities. Overall, I did enjoy my time, but don't know if the quality meets up to the trendiness of this restaurant. The inside is beautifully decorated, but there are some things left to be desired. Overall 4/5 experience. I will visit again, perhaps with a friend, but would not come here for a special occasion. read more

We came here for Valentine's Day dinner. We didn't realize there would be a set menu for $85 per person. Our server was friendly and attentive. We got a little taste of a beet, cashew, and mascarpone cheese bite one plate. It was really good, but a tiny bite. We got to choose an appetizer each, which was nice. I got the beef and I really liked that. My boyfriend got the tuna tacos and he said they were good. I did eat a bite of something super spicy on my beef kabob that left my mouth burning like crazy. I drank a lot of water and it still was burning pretty bad. Idk if that was part of a pepper on there or what, but that was terrible and my eyes were watering like crazy. My tongue finally stopped burning and we got to pick between a udon, salmon, and a beef dish. We both got the beef dish. I thought they would come as a single piece of meat, but it was already cut up for you. I found that the meat got cold fast this way. It was pretty good for the first few bites until I realized half my plate was covered in fat. I feel like that should have been trimmed somewhat. There were some prices I would put in my mouth and it was a huge bite of fat. My boyfriend's steak did not have a lot of fat on it and I was pretty disappointed in that dish. The truffle fries were good, but I was left wanting some salt on both the fries and the steak. When our desserts came out, it was very very underwhelming. You think about a Valentine's Day dessert as being something special, but this was not that at all. I did like the two pieces of chocolate and I get the idea they are going with by being interactive and actually licking the plate, but it missed the mark for an enjoyable valentines dessert. I'll start off with the positives from our experience. The aesthetic is gorgeous and gives off girly vibes, but also different feels in the various spaces in the restaurant. The bar area is more intimate than the other two areas. Our server was really great. The right amount of knowledge of the menu and checking in on us periodically. The chicken potstickers, shumai and other apps we shared with our friends were really good. The espresso martinis were delicious! And take advantage of their bonus question when you order one (don't look at the picture to keep it a surprise). The loss of one star is for the quality of the main dishes. I ordered Pad Thai and it was just - meh. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't the quality and taste I would have expected based upon the appetizers. My husband ordered the Lamb Chops and they were also average. If I still lived in OKC, I would return again for the atmosphere, service and cocktails in the bar, but not necessarily for dinner. read more

You get two options for the drinks and we did end up ordering additional drinks that were not offered on the girls menu. It would be nice if other options were offered possibly with an up charge. Ok so the pros: Very cute restaurant, love the decor and the vibe. I came for drag bingo and it did not disappoint! I love Betsey. The food is really good, like really good however I had to send the fries back and I was thinking of sending the Brussels back because they were way too salty. It kind of took away from how good they were. The truffle fries that I returned did come back perfect. Also make sure to get the pork belly bites, they were so worth it. I ordered the unlimited mimosas and they were super strong, I feel they were a good value. Also the fact that they serve it separate from the mixer. That's a plus. Negatives: Pricing! I currently live in VA and I understand how the prices of things have gone up but jeez. There were a ton of fees added on to my bill and none of those fees gave the lovely waitress 20% which was a disservice to her. Just taxes and service fees. read more

We had a lovely dinner at JK's. The decor is interesting to say the least, but some would probably use ecceltic as a better descriptor. The furnishings are quite nice in a faux garden setting. The wall paper, and the booth upholstery are rich and vibrant all in a complimentary manner. Their web site states the restrauant is modern Asian, I would call it Asian fusion, but whatever, it's really good. The food and service were excellent. We started with the lobster and shrimp dim sum. Oh my, what a culinary delite! They are not very large, come five to a serving off the appetizer menu, and are delectable. I ordered a dirty martini and Jan ordered a chocolate expresso martini with our photo infused into the top of the drink. The photo was fun, but the drink was too sweet for our tastes I ordered the Sea Bass served with jasmine rice. It was excellent. Jan ordered lamb chops, served with jasmine rice, and kimchi. She thought it was excellent. I tasted the kimchi and it was mild and a good compliment to the lamb and rice. We shared an order of brussel sprouts, another excellent choice. They were flash fried and tossed in soy chili sauce and sprinkled with sesme seeds. The noise was low at about 75% occupancy even when the guitarist/vocalist started playing. Their signature drinks are a little pricey, with some coming in at $25. Overall dining expense is high. We're looking forward to returning for other menu items. Was on town for the day and was invited to come here. This place was very appeasing to the eye! Very well decorated. We had reservations and arrived almost 10 mins early and was seated right away! Mike was our server and he was sooo sweet! Very personable and answered all our questions. The food was top tier! You can tell the chef loves to experiment and it comes together very well! Eh. You always have to worry about a place that tries so hard with their decor, and JK is no exception. As the saying goes, sell a good product or sell a good story. Based on how many times the wait staff ask customers if they want their pic taken in front of the tree, you know the answer here. Speaking of, the kink inspired wait staff was a surprise and not a pleasant one. Lots of leather, mini skirts/dresses, harnesses and other things. Certainly an awkward mix considering the amount of children that were running around the place. I didn't need to know the color of underwear my waitress was wearing, and neither did little Bobby at the table beside me, thanks. The best way I can describe JK is to say it's a night club that is permanently stuck at 6pm before the party really starts - and it'll never start here because it's moonlighting as a restaurant. The drinks were surprisingly pretty decent, though again kinda overkill with the sparkles and whatnot. I guess trying to justify those eye watering prices. The appetizers and entrees are mid. The porn star burger is advertised as having A5 wagyu on it and I believe it's a liberal use of the word since it was either non existent or part of the pâté. It tasted like a premade patty and the gold leaf was just annoying as it sticks to EVERYTHING, why it's on the outside of the bun is beyond me. I get it's for presentation, but serve the burger with the bun off and have it UNDER the bun so you can get your free advertising pics and then allow your customers to enjoy their food. I wouldn't order it again. The lamb dish was okay, but very small portioned for the price. We also had I want to say some sort of "nacho" appetizer and it was just fried wantons with a bunch of sauces squirted on them. It was all very forgettable. Sure it looks cool I guess, if you're into 1990s fever dreams. I just don't know what this place is even trying to be or why. 2.5 stars here, but I'll be generous I guess. read more

The 'J' in JK stands for 'Just' and the 'K' stands for 'Killin It' Everything on the menu at @jkbychefking is exactly what I want and love - a medley of Asian dishes with a fresh, modern twist. We came back! And again for our anniversary. I got the same things pretty much and it was just as amazing. We did get the Wagyu appetizer and it was deliciius and fun in that you cooked your own meat, though left you wanting more. The Bone marrow fried rice was just as delicious and the sea bass melted in your mouth. They still have the best espresso martini, just be sure to remember to get your picture on it! I got the Happy Buddha drink, and I would definitely get it again. It reminded me of Macha green tea ice cream with liquor, so delicious. The espresso martini was so fun by having our picture on it and was also delicious. I tried my hubby's Old Fashioned and actually liked it. The lobsters tacos are amazing. Just so it. FOOD Lobster Taco - Wonton on the outside is crispy and not too salty. Lobster also isn't too salty which makes the flavors good. The mango gives a nice sweet taste to it. It typically comes in 3 but we got it in 4 and pretty good overall. Brussels Sprouts- They were a bit on the salty side. Tastes pretty heavy on the soy sauce that they toss it in but flavor wise it's delicious! Crispy Rice Tuna - Crunchy rice topped with spicy tuna. The tina part is quite spicy. It is a bit heavy on the sauce side that overpowers the tuna taste. Ahi Tuna Pizza - Basically the same flavor of spicy tuna on the crispy rice but they put it on a tortilla. For some reason this one was especially spicy which takes away from the flavor. Pornstar Burger with Truffle Fries - Fries are on the softer side and have some Parmesan on it. Well seasoned and sauce makes the fries even yummier. Ordered medium rare but it seemed more on the medium well or well done side. Lamb Chop - This was probably my table's favorite. The lamb was sooooo tender. A bit salty and heavy on the seasoning but the tenderness was divine. It comes with rice and kimchi. The Kimchi does not taste like kimchi but isn't that bad. Hibiscus Royal - Pretty strong tasting drink, not as fruity as I expected. Pretty good and there's an edible flower in the drink. VIBES The place is really dark. The flowers give a nice spring feeling. Perfect for date nights. They have bar seating but you have to be 21, and they also have booth or comfy couch seating at tables. The tables are a bit on the smaller side which makes it hard to put lots of food on the table. SERVICE Service was nice! It was pretty crowded but they were a bit slow. Since the table was so small we were waiting 15 minutes or so for them to take up the menus and ended up having to place them on the floor. read more

The ambiance was really nice. Beautiful decor all around. Our server Sara was amazing. She answered questions we had about the menu and even made suggestions. She was very knowledgeable about everything. The appetizers were good. I really enjoyed the pork belly bun, and shishito peppers. The lobster and shrimp shumai not so much. We had several cocktails and mocktails. The lotus bloom was cute especially with the bubble on top. The dragon dancer mocktail was just okay. It was pretty! The moon fruit martini was cute too. We ordered Yaka Sonic w/ veggies and tofu. My sister really enjoyed it. I had oxtail and bone marrow fried rice. It was my first and last time having bone marrow. The texture was not for me, it was gelatinous...yuck. I picked it out and the rice was fine. Plenty of oxtail and delicious rice. The bacon and kimchi fried rice and steak fried rice was delicious. The Yaka noodles had delicious flavor. Lastly the dessert Ferris wheel was not only cute but the cupcakes were delicious. My favorite dessert was the coco passion. I loved the sorbet the most. When I go back I will probably only order appetizers and desserts! read more
