Make sure to take cash if not they'll basically surround you and harass you. Unfortunately I forgot my debit card but their website says they take Credit cards. I went in everything was fine until the very end when I basically got harassed for not having cash the receptionist women was more worried about the cash tip for the establishment than the actual charge for the nails. I only got a nail manicure and was charged almost $60 for that service. I felt so uncomfortable and will not be returning. There are better nail establishments than this greedy establishment. I walked in on a Friday morning, 9:30 AM, without an appointment. COVID set up was good with spacing, face shields, and disposable tools. Tracy was able to immediately take me for a pedicure and Julie was able to simultaneously provide me a manicure. Both worked quickly and efficiently and Julie was able to give me exactly what I wanted, a French manicure with a red tip. Both ladies were friendly and kind. If I could put zero stars I would, the owner Kenny is stingy. Got a gel pedicure done and I didn't like the color and went in to get a change of color they wanted to charge me full price again to change my gel pedicure, I already had paid 37+tip. I couldn't believe that the owner tried making me pay full price, that says a lot about him. It was unfair that I payed full price for something and had to settle with regular polish pedicure, and they still did a shitty job. I am a very frequent customer here at Jk nails as it is my local nail shop and I have never felt more uncomfortable than I did tonight. I called in advance to schedule a full set and a pedicure and they told me to come in at 7pm (which I thought was odd since they close at 8). The tech I scheduled with had an attitude as soon as I sat down and proceeded to say she was tired and to not get anything too difficult. I initially came in wanting French tip and that idea was soiled immediately upon her saying that, so I ask to see the chrome colors and she threw a fit and said "just show me what you want". Upon beginning my nails she began to question why I booked so late if I requested two services and continued to give a negative attitude towards doing the pedicure so I told her to forget it! I understand we all have bad days, but I am writing this review for management to consider not scheduling two services so late in the day as it may cause a negative customer experience like I had tonight; I left with only one service even though I booked two. This was my first time coming for a gel mani/pedi and I wanted to like it. The women who worked on my nails were kind, however the one worked on my hands filed my nails very thin. I have naturally thick, long nails. And I'd grown them out for almost a month to heal before coming here. Every single one my fingernails broke within less than a week of getting my gel mani here. I use to go to Kenny for many years, Kenny now has opened up shop with his wife. I'm sooo happy and impressed with his salon. It's in the Wallgreens shopping center, the salon is big and very beautiful. they have a large selection of gel nail colors as well as regular colors, my far the best colors I have seen. I chose two colors and couldn't decide between the two and my manicurist combined them both and they looked beautiful. Kenny also does a lot of 3d nails and great designs, I'm a simple person now but all in all I had a great experience. The spa chairs are clean, they sanitize their equipment, they were kind enough to offer me water/coffee. Best of all I had one doing my manicure and another doing my pedicure, love being pampered. They're really nice but very pushy on gel after I told them no. One of the ladies doing my pedicure still put gel and i just sighed considering that they will last long but even if I kept telling them no they didn't listen. Then when I went to do my nails I told the other lady no gel and she gave me a side eye which I was like,, sorry? She then made right then and there which I didn't mind .After she finished the nails she said don't and walked away and I checked them and the top coat she put had so many air bubbles which was appalling cause how did she not see them. When I got home to show my mom my nail she looked at the pedicure and gasped , the "supposed gel pedicure" had distorted like if it was wet and had crinkled up in some places. Don't come here, so basically the nail lady was cleaning my feet and I asked for callus remover. So she was shaving the dead skin away and she literally ripped a piece of my skin off, first of all I don't have any calluses near my toes. She still charged me !! She was making rookie mistakes also while cleaning my nails, ! Now I hope it doesn't get infected. I will be calling health department on Monday because they need to investigate whether everyone is licensed or if they're cleaning their supplies adequately. read more

I went in for a gel pedicure, they sat me down in the pedicure chair and I waited 30 minutes to get serviced which is understandable considering it's the Saturday before Christmas and they were busy! Nice place and clean however... I got home and realize the person who did my pedicure completely forgot to paint one of my toes so I have nine toenails painted red and one that isn't even primed so random... I'm a little upset but with a newborn I don't have time to go back. Went here hoping to have a chill and pampering experience but was actually the opposite. Initially I was supposed to have my nails done by another lady, but switched me to another person. The guy that did it, when filing, was really rough and it hurt my nails a lot. I didn't want to say anything because I felt bad: by the way I still should have said something since I'm paying for the service. Hence: - my bleeding cuticles - & nail quality I tried not to make it awkward because he didn't even introduce himself, but I tried to make conversation hoping it would be a good time. Although he came off a little rude, I stuck through it. Like an idiot. For the design I wanted costed $70 which I guess is okay. However, I did not get what I showed to him. ( see for yourself in the pictures) it's like looking at an Instagram vs reality. . Again I will not be going back to him but maybe going to another person or trying out another place. I went to get my nails done (gel acrylic) at this place because my nail tech was out of town. I walked in and they were able to assist right away! The girl I got was sweet and very outgoing but the nails were not it. 1)My nail were all different shapes and sizes! (I told her and she filed them down a little bit) 2) Within the first couple of days one of my nails literally came off soooooo easily. (Went back to fix it because I don't like missing one nail Payed $5) 3)When I went to get my nail fixed I asked the lady to fix my nails and she wanted to charge me $40 for that. 4) My nails didn't even last ONE week!! Yesterday was the third time I went to this trashy place. First time I went a male nail tech did a wonderful job doing my nails. He applied pink powder so my nails would blend in when they grew out. Second time I went he wasn't available so I was placed with a female Nail tech. I told her I wanted a similar design so she just had to take off the polish. Somehow she decided to apply a white powder instead of pink powder which made my nails look pale. I explained to her that the color look light but she said that the job was already done. I paid $70 for a job that I didn't like. I went yesterday to once again get a fill and explained to the new nail tech that they assigned me what had happened. She made it seem like she understood and asked the nail tech that I had seen before to help her decide what to do. They keep laughing at me and talking in there language and I'm the end she told her to place a white nail powder. Once she left she kept on doing my nails. This whole time I thought she would place the pink powder but she never did. She completely ignore the design that I wanted and did only what was best for her. When she was a light to apply the polish she wanted to place a pink gel to make it seem like the nail was pink but in the bottom it was white. On top of that she didn't trim my nail nor did she clean the back side of my nails to not see the outgrown nail. The so called manager Kenny and the owner Kenny came over to take a look and kept screaming about this situation In front of all the customers. I kept telling them to lower there volume because they were embarrassing me. I did not want to make a scene, I just wanted them to fix the error that the previous nail tech had done. They kept saying that that didn't matter. That it was my error for not fixing the issues then when it had just happened. Not sure how they wanted me to fix it then since they were closing. On top of that the nail tech didn't any to redo the job. They kept saying that if I wanted to change powder that I had to pay $90!!!!!!!!! I had to pay for error that they made. Honestly how are they running a Buisness when they can't seem to solve mistakes that they make. I decided not to redo the powder there and asked how much it would be for what she had done. She said $35 and I paid and left. Now looking back I shouldn't have paid for anything since they didn't do the service I requested. This is how they left my nails, the design I wanted and the back of the nails. I will also be contacting the IRS to provide Kenny's number so it can be inspected for tax purposes. read more

I had a good experience getting my nails done... It was my little sister who didn't get what she wanted after telling the male nail technician that's not what she wanted. He proceeded to get agitated making it seem she was a problem. My little sister is as timid as a mouse when it comes to these type of services and I wasn't by her side to be her voice which makes me very upset when I hear and saw with my own eyes eventually after my nails were done and I'm sitting besides her that he was in fact man handling her and was way too rough. Cut her cutile and she can barely press down on anything without making a face of pain (found this out right after he was done but didn't wanna have an angry man in my face so I walked away with my sister). There was no way to make him see he was in the wrong. He was slamming stuff down too. She told him she didn't want a nude base and understood her but still continued to do it and when she told him she wanted the clear he got an attitude and she was just to afraid to ask again because she was afraid he was gonna have another mini outburst. I don't think I will give this place anymore chances if it means she could accidentally get him again. WE EVEN TIPPED FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. A NICE ONE TOO.
