Tested and True (previously JMC electric) did an amazing job on my home back in October 2025. They inspected my home for an issue, found the root cause and fixed it with a new panel and 2 new circuits for my kitchen. They also installed an electric car charger for me as well as an automatic bathroom fan, both of which have worked perfectly since the installation. I've waited 6 months since work was complete to write this and can attest that their work is indeed tested and true. Above all else, Jon and his team are Thorough and Honest. I called the team out because I believed I had unreliable kitchen circuits because of knob and tube in my house and an old electrical panel that I thought needed to be replaced. Why did I think this? Because a previous home inspector and another electrician had told me these things. Jon and Joaquin did a thorough job of checking my entire home and found that the knob and tube I had in my home had been abandoned, the panel was old, but fine, and that my newer subpanel was a fire hazard. They also found that the electrical issues that I had were because the thicker wire kitchen circuits were wired to a thinner wire circuit in my attic which was causing my breaker to trip. What was quoted to me by a prior electrician as a $40,000 to remove my knob and tube ended up being about $4,000 for a new subpanel and two new dedicated circuits for my kitchen. My house is old and the job ended up being full of new problems. The team handled everything professionally and kept me up informed along the way, even staying late on two nights to make sure they left my house in a habitable state between workdays. Thanks to the Tested and True crew, I can finally run my waffle maker, boil water, grind coffee beans, cook on an electric griddle, and operate a toaster oven all at once without tripping a breaker. First, Edwardo from JMC was great. 5 stars for him. I was told when I called to schedule it would be a $91 dispatch and troubleshooting fee. Then any work after that would be $350-$500. I my mind, if you don't know the problem, you troubleshoot. In my case, Edwardo came out, listened to what I had to say, then found that the GFCI outlet outside had tripped, causing my interior outlets to fail (old construction as Edwardo explained). Once he reset the GFCI outlet outside, the power to the outlets was restored. This took less than 5 minutes, and I still get charged $480. read more

We hired JMC to wire up our hot tub, and although I was a bit skeptical at first with regards to whether the price was worth it or not (not outrageously high, but also not inexpensive), after the install today, I have to admit that I am 100% a fan of theirs. From start to finish, they've been very clear in their communications and every single person I've interacted with has been super professional. With the install today, even though it wasn't their fault that the hot tub company didn't leave behind the right breakers for them, JMC's Hector and Eduardo went above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed to get the hot tub working today, especially since I told them that I was heading out of town early the next morning. JMC is an excellent company with great owners and experienced employees. I needed electrical installed for a hot tub and they were recommended. Jon came out the next day and did a very good job explaining the process and the duration. I explained the hot tub was a surprise for my wife and he ensured it would be done the same day and he would stay to make sure it was up and running by the end of the day before she got home. After I received their detailed quote sent a few hours later, I went with them. The day came for the hot tub install and the hot tub company was short workers, so Jon and two of his employees helped unload it and get it to it's desired location. Just so happens I misjudged the level of the foundation for it per the hot tub company rep, and it was recommended I get it fixed before filling it. Jon called a contractor who gave me a quote, but in the meantime his crew knocked out the electrical install within a few hours. The contractor was available that day and came out a few hours later. They fixed the problem in a couple hours, but by that time it was already 5 PM. Jon personally came back to the house to complete the rest of the install and get the tub up and running before my wife came home, so the surprise wouldn't be ruined. I let him know he could leave, but he was intent in getting it filled up, primed and running, which he did. He was finally able to get away around 6 PM. Jon and his team went above and beyond when they could've walked away and finished another day being it was my mistake. I can't say enough good things about our recent experience with JMC. We recently replaced our hot tub and JMC provided the disconnect and reconnect services. Jon did the disconnect and was incredibly professional, clearly explaining the options for moving the connection point for the new tub. Hector did the reconnect, explaining everything he was going to do and offering options for both conduit routing and breaker box mounting. We agreed on the most logical , less disruptive way to install, he drop off the electrical conduits so we can get the place ready for the spa and electrical, he coordinates with us in getting the pad ready, coordinates his installation crews with the spa delivery on the same day. We hired JMC as part of a spa installation. For the spa, they did a thorough advance review of the property and electrical needs; they didn't try to upsell us on a new electrical box for the house (which another electrician had said was absolutely necessary), and explained why it wasn't necessary. They coordinated on spa delivery so they could ensure it was fully operational before they left that day. We also asked that they correct some issues arising from some other electrical work another electrician had done some time in the past. JMC was incredibly responsive, helpful, and straightforward throughout. Not only were they on-time, but they actually responded to a couple questions (that turned out not to be electrical issues) on a weekend. The price was surprisingly reasonable -- not the cheapest out there, but we would not hire any other electrician. Finally, these were the friendliest and most pleasant electricians we've ever worked with. You really can't go wrong with JMC. I cannot recommend them highly enough! read more

Even though his schedule was full, he was able to get our hot tub hooked up on Wednesday when it was delivered! FANTASTIC! We have done a lot of work on our home over the past 2 years which means we have also worked with many vendors and service providers and JMC Electric tops the list! He took a look at the set up of the electrical service in my home and recommended the best course of action to get the installation completed. We agreed that a replacement sub panel should be installed to expend breaker space. Alex arrived the next day with the materials to begin the installation. The owner came over the next day after the initial call and shot be a bid right away and made me feel comfortable that they could fix the issue.
