What I love about the system is that it can provide the fastest 48A charging (on a 60A breaker) with only a 100A sub-panel. The Tesla Neurio meter monitors the panel's total load and the Tesla Wall Connector will automatically adjust charging speed to keep the panel from overloading. Dan did a fine job upsizing my home's main panel from 100 amps to 400 amps. To do so, he installed a 100-amp subpanel on the inside of the wall the old main panel was on and installed conduit to the new 400-amp panel he mounted. My power comes underground from PG&E, so he also had to break concrete to install conduit and the buried 90-degree elbow at the new main panel. All work was done promptly and neatly and had no problem passing City of San Jose inspections. The main issue on this job was the long duration on PG&E's end - almost exactly a year from application to completion. (The wait was so long that my city permit expired and had to be renewed at extra cost.) Through it all, George Richardson was communicative, both with the PG&E project manager and me, and responded quickly when PG&E decided to move forward. He even coordinated with the stucco guy to repair the hole where the old main panel resided. When you find a contractor that does what he says he will do, coordinates well, all at a reasonable price, you give him 5 stars! read more

Installed our Tesla power wall in early '22. I went with this installer rather than the others (which were half the price) because I wanted to have a permitted install, that way if there were ever a fire or other issue, I would be protected from an insurance perspective, since we followed all necessary steps to be compliant. George said he submitted the drawings for the inspector, I signed the owner authorization form (around July '22), and was assured it would be taken care of. We had other (unrelated) electrical work done in Jan '24, so I followed up to ensure that the permit was finalized as I never had any inspectors come out. It appears the permit was never finalized and was told again it would be taken care of. I've since requested timelines and updates, but haven't heard back for ~2mths and worry I may be ghosted and they don't intend on finalizing the permit. Because of this experience, I don't plan to go back to this installer. read more

They recently installed a charger for my Tesla Model 3, which including setting up a new 60-amp breaker and running a conduit from the main panel (at one end of the house) to the garage (at the other end of the house - of course) through the crawl space. Had them come out and update our electrical panel from the original 1954 panel 100W to a 200W solar ready panel, a sub panel in the garage and installing a Tesla charger in my garage. The job was somewhat more challenging since the house design and layout was from the 1950's so they had to run the wire pretty much across the entire property. George and his crew were great to work with, communicated great and did a great job of installing the new panel. His electricians were knowledgeable and very friendly. Even had my Tesla charger give me an error and needed to be replaced. George worked with Tesla and got the replacement out to me and installed. GE Richardson Electric did a fantastic job installing my NEMA 14-50 outlet in my garage to charge my Model X much faster. They are a Tesla Certified electrician as seen on Tesla's website. The owner, George, had really good communication throughout the whole process. We communicated over the course of a month because I needed to get my HOA approval and he helped me along with that. He did load calculations beforehand, suggested the best way to run the conduits to the outlet, got the city permit, and came for the city inspection as well. They are licensed and pay worker's comp in case your HOA needs it like mine did. For the install, his team took 3 hours on one day, and then George came by for a short 20 minute inspection with the city inspector on another day. Usually they can do it all in the same day, it just depends on when the city has availability. They're an all-in-one package making everything easier for you. It is somewhat difficult to find a Company who will do a professional and quality job installing low-voltage outdoor lighting around your yard. I was lucky to find such a company in GE Richardson Electric. George sent two of his best electricians, Dan and Jesus, to my house last week to do a 40 light back yard low-voltage lighting project. The lights are black metal with glass bulbs and LED lights. Dan and Jesus set up the 40 lights in a production-line type approach. When the lights were the placed around the yard, the results were extraordinary. They were perfectly positioned, spaced correctly, and when they are turned on the entire back yard was transformed. They guys are truly amazing and thorough professionals, not to mention quite reasonable in terms of costs. I have used their services for two projects so far. The first one was to replace lamp holders in all the recessed lighting in my home. Their team did a fantastic job of replacing them. They were also very careful as they worked throughout the house, wearing booties and then vacuuming up any debris that fell from the ceiling from the work they did. The second time I used their service was when I needed to get a 240v outlet installed in the garage for an EV. Again, they did a fantastic job of installing it and even returned back again to do a thorough checkup when I accidentally blew the fuse in the main panel outside the house right after they completed their install. They are quick to respond to my questions, they don't charge for unnecessary things and polite to the boot! Will definitely continue to use their help in the future! Late in the evening, the power in our house began to act very strange, with some circuits working and others not. Sometimes they flickered on and off. I made an appointment with GE Richardson and they showed up on schedule. After 20 minutes or so, they identified the problem, not with the circuits in the house, but instead, a short on the PGE side with the line coming in from the pole rubbing against a tree branch. They stayed with me and helped me place the call and use the right terminology to inform PGE. PGE came later in the day, quickly fixed the problem and showed me the frayed line. GERE was dependable, accurate and friendly and I appreciated their professionalism because stress is already high enough with home quarantine. read more

Dan and Jesus were both very professional, patient and proactive about fixing our lighting issues. They didn't have all the replacement parts for the fixtures I had so went out and got them and were back fast to finish the job within 2 hours! One of the fixtures was hard to get to and the day they came the stores were out of stock for the replacement bulbs.
