We spent more than 45 minutes on the phone putting the quotes together, and he said he would email me all the information so I could review it. I never received the email. I called twice to follow up and eventually reached someone else, but she was unable to access the quotes. After investing that much time, it was incredibly frustrating to feel like the entire conversation and effort had been wasted. You should not have to follow up multiple times just to get the information needed to purchase an insurance policy. If the pricing had not been so competitive, I would have walked away. Note you have to call the AAA membership provider you originally were with to get this refund. So Cal did not offer this to me when I signed up. Went through the hassle of going to the DMV last week to register my car in CA and also get a Real ID. The experience at the DMV last week was so frustrating that I'm glad I was able to complete my car reg at AAA. They took care of my vin verification and validating my smog check, which were both things I didn't know you had to do to register an out of state vehicle. Then the lady at AAA handed me my new license plates/stickers, and registration and I was on my merry way! Phew. Thanks AAA for saving me from another DMV visit.

Unfortunately, she was dismissive from the start and did not take the time to understand the unique circumstances of my DMV transaction. Rather than listening or investigating further, I was simply told I was wrong. It's perfectly acceptable not to know every nuance of DMV procedures, but it's not acceptable to dismiss a member without taking the time to verify the facts. I expect better from AAA. I hope the Irvine branch invests in additional customer service and DMV process training so members are treated with the respect and professionalism they deserve.
