We had several policies (Home, Auto, and Life) with a different State Farm agent in northern CA. We made the decision a couple years ago to move to an office closer to our primary residence in Woodbridge so we could visit the office and have a closer relationship with our agent. Scott did a thorough walk-thru of our policies, listened to our needs, and made sure everything was exactly what we needed. He identified several opportunities for savings and helped us evaluate and mitigate a number of risks. Tried to transfer to this agent but he was acting very strange. I told him that I was unhappy with my current agent and that I had also moved to Orange County and was looking for someone else. Anywho, he was talking as though State Farm was holding him hostage and telling him how to talk to clients to convince them not to tranfer agents. Dropped State Farm and went elsewhere. read more

I didn't like my current State Farm agent so I called around to find a new one. I called this office and asked if they were accepting new customers. Receptionist transferred me to Stevens and the way he worded his decision, which is no, made me feel that it's completely, 100% my fault that things didn't work out between me and the current agent. More and more I find myself surprised at the leaps and bounds that technology has made possible for mankind. It seems that the phone tree and website are the centers of so many businesses. Refreshingly, when I call this agency (during business hours) I am thrilled that they still practice phone etiquette, they answer the phone. More often than not, it's Viviana Mejia who picks up and responds to my sometimes off-the-wall questions, or will call back or email the response. My family has been with Scott and his office for decades. His expertise and knowledge are second only to his enormous heart. We recently had some major water damage to our home that requires significant repairs. To keep things succinct, the whole experience was a nightmare and we had some difficulties communicating with the other departments of State Farm that handle active claims. Scott and his office went literally above and beyond what they needed to do to help us. They answered our questions, went out of their way to try to help us resolve issues we were having with the other departments, and provided emotional support in an extremely stressful time for my family. None of that was necessarily "their job", but they were there for us when we needed them and I'm incredibly grateful. All I can say now is this office needs more PR skills,customer service training and someone from head office to check how the agents are performing (in this case ruining the company name). Wow... the level of customer service here is incredible. Like most people, I'm not very fond of insurance agents, and in the past, I've honestly just dealt with them as minimally as possible (because we all need insurance!). This was definitely not the case when it came to Scott and his team. I've mostly dealt with Cindy, who has been simply fantastic over the last four years. She's always been very responsive with anything I've needed, and worked with me to get the best discount possible (she's even calculated if renter's insurance would be worth the add-on for savings or not). She's truly genuine and just so dang sweet every time I've talked to her. Scott is equally as genuine and transparent. I was in the process of moving to another state last month, and Scott's team helped me find an agent. After trying to review the list, I chose another agent, and regretted almost immediately. There was no tact or attention to detail (like I've experienced with Scott and his team) and a misstep, which led me to call Scott immediately for help. Even though he knew I was leaving his agency, he was SO helpful and honest on what my options were. He offered to help in any way possible and cleared up the issues with the new agent. I ultimately went with someone else, but Scott communicated everything every step of the way. If I'm ever back in SoCal, I'll definitely give Scott a call. Very impressed with the service I received here. Been a member for a long time and had nothing but good experiences. Scott always gave me the best deal. Come to find out that their rates are going to sky rocket for me in the coming months because of some weird anomaly rule that is hitting guys like me the hardest . But before this happens Scott personally called me and let me know ahead of time to warn me and give me a chance to find a new provider. Talk about a stand up guy! Unfortunately I decided to switch services because the price difference was significant, but I am told they filed a rate reduction and when that takes place I will be back for a long time.
