    The new floor

I needed a handyman to replace my kitchen faucet and install floating waterproof vinyl planks over the 30 year old sheet vinyl in my kitchen. Jesse provided a reasonable estimate and was able to schedule right away. He and his helper did a great job on the floor. The faucet replacement was more problematic because he found that the valves were badly corroded and one needed replacing. He installed the faucet fine but needed to return 3 times to stop a resulting leak, I think from the valve replacement. That said, he was always responsive to my messages about the drips. And when he had trouble, he has contractor friends he could call for advice. I give him 5 stars for the floor and 3+ stars for the plumbing. He is also very busy and although he'd always call to let me know he was on the way, it was often a couple of hours after his expected arrival time, so that was frustrating. Jesse is conscientious and eager to do a good job. I plan to use him again (though maybe not for involved plumbing repairs). Jesse gets bonus points for having to deal with a rat that got into my kitchen. And when we needed to move a large and very heavy cabinet outside for the large item curbside pickup, he willingly provided assistance to my (not as young as he used to be) husband and son. Thanks, Jesse.

    Flagstone pattern in backyard...
    Judith I.

I had Jesse and his crew do a flagstone pattern in my backyard. The job included demolition of old tiles and adding material to level the area. Throughout the process Jesse was very professional and I could tell that customer satisfaction was his ultimate goal. He accomodated our requests and charged us a reasonable amount for the job. He also re-sealed the tile stones in front of my house free of charge! I really appreciate the honesty and transparency of these guys. Hard to trust people nowadays but with Jesse and his crew, trust will never be an issue. So if you ever come accross JN Home solutions for any of your home improvement needs, don't hesitate to call this company and you'll be a satisfied cutomer, just like we were!

I gave Jesse five stars because he not only did a great job installing my luxury vinyl planks on my kitchen floors but he is also an honest and hard working guy. When Jesse quoted the job, he quoted me for laying tile. It was cheaper than the previous quote I had gotten from a different contractor so I went with Jesses's quote. Then when Jesse saw the vinyl planks that I chose he immediately changed the quote to a lower price (apparently vinyl planks are easier to install). I am a lady who knows nothing about hiring someone to do my floors ( first time for me) Jesse could have charged me more and I would have taken that price. I am grateful and lucky that Jesse has good work ethics and takes pride in what he does. Will definitely call Jesse again if I need his service.

Jesse is a very hard worker and got the job done. Could be a little less messy but he accommodated us with reasonable price & availability.

Great work by Jesse. Responsive and reasonable. I've had him install appliances and place porcelain tile.

Using the Yelp project feature, I found Vegas Paints. They were considerably more affordable than their competitors who are "licensed painters" which I had never heard of. Vegas Paints is licensed and insured so I felt comfortable booking with them. Moisés was the quickest to respond and even was able to give us a quote without needing to come out to measure, using Google Earth to figure out how tall of a ladder his team would need. We had our fascia boards and shutters painted. The house looks so much better. The team at Vegas Paints arrived early and was so fast removing all of the old paint before they got painting. Due to sunset and needing a different color paint for the shutters, the team came back the next day to finish the shutters, but otherwise it would have been done same day. Our house looks fantastic now and I highly recommend Vegas Paints. Service date: May 2026

We contacted Leo's Handyman Services as we had small cracks forming in our ceiling of our garage in…read morethe drywall seams where the tape was. We contacted Leo via Yelp, and received a response a short time later. Shortly afterwards, Leo came out to our home. He assessed the work, took some pictures and said his specialist can do the job, no problem. That should have been our first warning that Leo himself was not doing the work/repair and did not bring his specialist along for the initial review. He said, I'm an engineer and don't do that sort of work, but no problem he can do it, he'll make it look good, he's a specialist! We talked about how important it was to have our garage cabinets, tools, area where we have shoes and some outdoor furniture stored in the garage covered with plastic and that our newly done epoxy floor would need to be covered from the debris and dust. Leo said that they usually only cover the floor where the work would be done, his reply was it's a garage. We stressed in our conversation and also outlined in our response via text that it was important that it's covered if we hired him for the job. He agreed that it would be done. Later that evening he sent a message with the quote but did not send a contract or scope of work with his quote detailing the work (that should have been another red flag). So I responded with a message that specifically outlined our expectations of the job and what was to be done. He replied, yes everything outlined would be done. He then messaged me that his specialist would be at our home that following Thursday, which we agreed. Wednesday came around and Leo messaged us that his specialist was at another job previously and that he was doing such a great job, the client asked him to stay another day to do more work. He asked if he can come to us on Monday, we said no problem. He said he'd be there in the am on Monday, but would message us with the time frame on Sunday. Sunday came and Leo texted us indicating Simon will arrive around noon, ok no problem. Monday came and Simon showed up at 1pm, he brought his ladder, a drop cloth and only covered the door leading from the garage to our kitchen with plastic, and covered nothing else that we spoke of. After putting that up, Simon told my husband he needed to get some supplies and would be back in 20 minutes. Like what, why did he not come prepared in the first place. The job was straight forward, remove old tape, replace tape, add dry wall/mud, texture and paint (which we supplied the paint). Anyway, Simon left and came back an hour later, not 20 minutes. After returning he worked another 20 minutes and knocked on our door telling us he needed more supplies and would be back in 20 minutes????? He left and came back 20 minutes later. By now it's 3pm, he finished up around 6pm. When we went out to look at the work, it was a mess! He put drywall mud over the tape and used a textured paint roller to texture the areas that were done. We asked why he did not allow for the mud to dry then sand and texture and paint when it was all the way dried? He looked at us perplexed, and said texture spray is expensive and that his textured roller brush gave it a sprayed look. We said that, this is not what we agreed to and that 2 cans of texture spray would have covered it and cost around $20. He literally put tape, drywall mud and painted without allowing properly drying in between each process. The areas he did are noticeable. See photo. I then asked where was all the plastic to cover the areas we discussed with Leo, he could not answer. He spoke very little English so communication was difficult and very frustrating. We advised him he needs to clean up as everything was covered in drywall dust. He ran a shop vacuum for a few minutes and wiped a few areas down and left. Everything was covered in white dust, Everything! I tried to call Leo, but he did not take my call. So I texted him saying that Simon did not do what we discussed. In addition the work done looks worse than it did when the ceiling was cracking. The areas are lumpy and it's an eyesore. Leo finally responded that he and Simon agreed to do it the way he did it as it was more cost effective for them. Leo or Simon at no time never contacted us to change any part of what was agreed. He decided to cut corners without advising us otherwise. His word were they made the decision as it was just a garage. We understand that it would not look 100% the same, but he didn't even try to make it look even half way better. He said what can we do to make it right? To be honest, we just wanted he and his specialist gone. They literally fked up our ceiling and now we'll have to pay someone to fix it. We would not let him touch anything around our home with a 10ft pole. Shame on you Leo for taking our money and leaving us with shoddy work! I would think twice before hiring Leo's Handyman Services ! If we could give zero stars we would!

Polite, But Quality Is Lacking…read more I hired Vic from Victory Painting based on his glowing 5-star reviews, expecting the same level of excellence. He was extremely polite, punctual, and courteous throughout the process. Vic provided a detailed quote for painting a guest bedroom, loft, and small staircase in my 1,600 sq ft home, and even offered to include additional casing work along the staircase at a total "discounted rate" of about $2,200. (Initial quote was closer to $3,000) Unfortunately, the paint job was sloppy, with visible roller marks and unpainted areas near door jams and along window sills. Instead of using one continuous piece of wood for the longest part of the staircase, he caulked together three short pieces, leaving obvious seams (he did return to reinstall that piece upon request). The rest of the moulding showed noticeable globs of caulking and inconsistent textures. In one section, the top coat was applied using a roller; in another, a heavy brush was used, which resulted in deep unsightly streaks. Despite his willingness to return, reinstall, repaint and "fix any issues," the overall quality of the work felt rushed and unprofessional.
