    Peach cobbler French toast

This is my second time visiting Big John's eatery so that lets you know they do not disappoint ! I have the peach cobbler French toast and it was amazing. The first time i went i had the shrimp and grits which was very well seasoned. I plan on going back to try the oxtails and grits. Our waitress was well versed on the menu and attentive to our needs. We went on a Saturday so it was very busy. We ended up sitting outside. If you plan on going on a weekend plan to arrive early. Overall you will not regret it.

Wait time ! Is wayyyyyyyyy tooo long. 1.5hrs Upon walking in the restaurant is very clean and good temperature not too cold. Our server was very sweet and took her time explaining to us our options and portion sizes. Food was absolutely amazing the peach French toast and oxtail and grits were my absolute favorites. Sis not like the chicken Alfredo, it was a lil dry to me. 10$ extra for 5 shrimps I think is a bit much. But I will definitely be back again .

First time at Big John's Eatery after hearing so much about it!!! We got there at a very good time because the wait line was not long and got seated right away. The ambiance was nice, playlist was also pretty good. So definitely great ambiance from jump. I did think our food took a long time to come. Drinks; The mimosa was really good and definitely nice and strong but it was really small in my opinion for $9. Food: The food was really good. The shrimp and grits was really tasty. My friend had the chicken and waffles and the waffles were really nice and soft but too sweet. My peach cobbler french toast was amazing, overall the food was really really good. Definitely coming back to try something else. Our total came out to be $76 with tip and i think it was worth it!! I will be coming back

Solid breakfast, with great customer service. We were seated quickly with no wait and our waitress Asia was very attentive and patient with us. We ordered off of the weekday special menu, for 10.99 you have the choice between 3 specials and it comes with OJ or coffee. The grits were so flavorful and creamy, everything was perfect. There's also bar seating available and the restaurant was well decorated! Excited to go back and try other menu items.

I have come here twice in the last couple of months for breakfeast food! The portions are good and the food is well seasoned. Last month I had got the oxtail and grits and this past week I got the shrimp and grits with oxtail gravy. The grits were creamy and well seasoned. The oxtail was good as well. I just widh that it was shredded oxtail meat instead of bone in. For the past week, I had the shrimp and grits. The shrimp Was cooked a little too well and a bit salty. Nonetheless the option for oxtail gravy with shrimp and grits is a nice touch.

Who knew that 30 years after I was jamming to SWV in the 90s, I'd be listening to them while eating one of the most satisfying breakfasts I'd had in a long time. Big John's Eatery is big on flavor and has such a great uplifting vibe. The menu had so many great dishes to choose from that it was hard to decide. The peach cobbler French toast and hashbrown casserole spoke directly to my tastebuds, and neither disappointed. The French toast was fluffy and not too sweet, which was the perfect vessel for a really sweet peach cobbler topping (including cobbler crumbles throughout). I didn't even need to add syrup. For all of those lovers of peach cobbler, this dish is it. And the hashbrown casserole was the perfect savory side to go along with it. They were cheesy gooey and although I was full, I couldn't stop eating them. Big John's Eatery is a very popular and busy restaurant, and rightfully so. The staff is fantastic, very observant and attentive. Expect to wait when you arrive, but also expect that the wait is definitely worth it!

After months of hearing about Big John's, we finally got a chance to check it out for brunch. It was a Sunday afternoon outing, and as typical for this day and time at many restaurants, we had an extended wait (an hour). The restaurant is relatively small - some might say cramped - so it's not able to seat a lot of people at once. But the hostess was very friendly and promised to get us seated as soon as possible. Once we got our table, we were already ready to order. I decided to try a mimosa. They have bottomless mimosas for $25, or $9 each. I only ended up having two. Mine was a special made concoction with coconut and some other flavors that our waitress decided on. It was nice to have the personalized recommendation. To eat we got the chicken and waffles (red velvet waffle and tenders), oxtail quesadillas, and kids breakfast bowl. Everything was good enough. I do think the chicken and waffles were the best thing we had. Looking around the restaurant, I saw some other appetizing offerings that maybe I'll try on my next visit. The quesadillas were good, but not as flavorful as I expected. The kid's breakfast bowl was a great serving size for anyone, I think. Overall, it was a good trip. It's definitely a bit of an owner-operator diner vibe. But all the staff are nice and the food is tasty. I'll give it another go someday soon.

Insane restaurant. We've been coming here for years and the quality just keeps getting better and better. The food is flavored to the bone, the customer service is great, the prices are fair.....literally no complaints. Highly recommend their oxtail and grits and Caribbean boy dish. And if you get the wings, get them garlic parm x mango habanero mixed (recommended by a server). BJE is a must stop anytime we're in Palm Beach!

Big John's Eatery is officially a must-visit brunch spot. Everything from the food to the service was on point. From the moment we walked in, the ambience stood out. The space is clean, modern, and has a laid-back but upscale brunch vibe. Sitting at the bar was the perfect choice the setup is sleek, and it gives you a front-row view of everything going on. Between the lighting, the open feel, and the energy in the room, it just felt like a place you can relax, vibe, and enjoy your food. We sat at the bar, and I highly recommend it if you want the full experience. The bartenders were amazing super welcoming, engaging, and entertaining while making drinks. It made the whole visit feel fun and personal. Now let's get into the food because this is where they really shine. We ordered: * Banana Bourbon Coconut French Toast - $16 * Regular French Toast (side) - $16 * Oxtail & Grits - $25 * Eggs & Sausage - $10 First, the French toast... absolutely incredible. The bread was extremely soft, rich, and perfectly soaked without being soggy. The banana bourbon coconut flavor took it to another level sweet, buttery, and full of flavor. Definitely the star of the table. The oxtail & grits were just as impressive. The oxtail was tender, well-seasoned, and fell right off the bone, paired with creamy, smooth grits that balanced everything out perfectly. Even the eggs and sausage simple but done right. No complaints across the board. Total came out to around $67 before tax, and honestly, it was worth every dollar considering the quality, portions, and overall experience. Overall: Great food, great ambience, and excellent customer service. This is one of those spots where you leave already planning your next visit. 10/10 I'll definitely be back.

Great Delicious Food, fast service @ servers was very nice. Love it my first time here

This place is banging for brunch! Who doesn't love some southern food like fried chicken and waffles? We came for the 2nd time this past weekend while meeting some family close by. We had to wait over 30 minutes but it was worth it. The biscuits are fluffy and never over cooked. The chicken is delicious served with the waffles as well as the rice and beans combo. We have now tried both French toast dishes of the peach cobbler and the bourbon banana one. Both were amazing but I loved the bourbon banana one. So many awesome options and a great spot down yummy food!

Oh myyy.. This place was amazing. Small and cozy. Friendly staff, great vibe. We had the Oxtail and Cheese Grits and added the Grilled Shrimp. Absolutely delicious. This dish was definitely a staple in the establishment. Here's a plus.. The owner, Big John, came out and greated the guests. Great guy. So polite and humble

Didn't get to eat. Closes at 4pm but the kitchen closes at 3:30pm. We arrived at 3:20pm and were told we'd have two minutes to order.

They brought out the sticky date cake as a birthday treat and it was very good! It's a remote area, but I really liked that it's away from the hustle and bustle of downtown West Palm.
