I'm not much of a sewer or crafts person but I do work with acrylic. I came in today because I needed a needle and thread and a KNIT PICKER. Didn't know that was a thing. (Apparently nitpicking has an origin.... Who knew?) All the staff was extremely helpful showing me around and helping me find stuff. Ashley at the front desk was especially helpful. This is not the largest JoAnn store I've been in but it carries more than enough. The staff has always been friendly, helpful in finding what I am really looking for. Pricing is where it should be for most things. I like this store and enjoy my excursions there. The only down side to this (and any fabric store really) is the cut and then pay up front aspect. They staff is always shorthanded but cheerful and they try very hard. i would had preferred to give them a 4.5 score. read more

No available restrooms for customers and don't dare ask an employee if they have a restroom you can use. They get offended if you dare ask! I will be taking my business to Hobby Lobby and Michael's, that have more customer-focused facilities and nicer employees. read more

Not a bad Joann's. Some of them can be very crazy and disorganized, borderline disgusting. This one was clean. It was very sparse though. Not a lot of inventory. I came for a bobbin case. They had exactly one in stock and it was $3 more than the website. You can only use a coupon or price match apparently so I ended up paying about what the site had it for just to use the coupon. Kind a rip off IMO read more

Not surprised a bit to see negative reviews on this store. Employee hanging signs was rude and unwilling to help me after I asked twice. "Go over there, wait in line, that's not my job". Just picking up an on line order of $180 in fabric for a client. If it wasn't for a customer, I would have asked for a full refund. We own two upholstery companies in NC. I will make it a part time job to NEVER send a client to your store for anything. read more

I was happy to find a Joann Fabrics near by, but when I walked inside the store it was a mess. It definitely looks unkept! I am a big sewer and very disappointed that this is the only "big" fabric store around. The staff is unfriendly and very unhelpful. You ask a question about fabric or sewing and half the people don't even know what you are talking about. There might be around 6 or so people that do know what they are talking about. They never have enough people at checkout so it's always a big line and long wait time. The prices are high, but they always have sales or coupons that will work, you can also use more than 1 coupon which is nice. Would definitely like to see lots of improvements at this store! read more

The restroom has been "out of order" for years. I don't know who they think they are fooling. . . Maybe the health department? They send you to the grocery store. If there were another craft store near me, I wouldn't come here anymore. read more

I'm actually really surprised to see bad reviews for this store. It's fairly well kept and most of the time, I find what I need. I come here every so often to get supplies to make stuffed animals or costumes, and I have never had a bad experience. In fact, one of the recent times I came, the cashier at the time, Cheryl, was so sweet! She saw that I had an excessive amount of coins and offered to count through all of them to use toward my purchase. Plus, she went out of her way to help me lower the price of my purchase dramatically! She really made the experience personal and helped me sign up for coupons to make my visits more affordable. I do recommend coming in and checking it out, despite other reviews. read more

Wish I had read these reviews before I drove over there today! Went in and waited until I could ask a "sales" (?) person for help. Was glad to wait my turn, but when I explained what I needed help with, she just pointed me to bolts of fabric & said "look there". I tried to explain to her that I needed help as I am not a seamtress but had written down the quantity I needed to purchase. I just needed help in choosing the fabric. She did not give me the time of day nor did she return to where she pointed me to, to see if I needed further help. I did have questions about the different fabrics. I did see some that I thought would work, but without any help to answer the questions I had, I was afraid to buy it. And there was no one I saw that would cut the fabric. All available help seemed to be either in the check out area or just not available. Very disappointing experience. read more

A week ago I would have given this store 4, maybe even 5 stars. Today changed everything when I tried to exchange an item. I purchased a "Hampton Art" ink pad without knowing anything about stamping inks. When I tried it, the ink was watery and did not dry very well. It was only $5 so I got what I paid for. I went in to Jo-Ann today to exchange it for a better ink and make some additional purchases as well. (I used to shop here almost every week). I was informed that Jo-Ann does not do exchanges, only returns, which means that if something is opened, it cannot be returned. This is a HUGE corporation that has been around for a long time and I would guess makes a more than comfortable profit. Are they so big that they do not even care about taking care of their customers? They must have enough already. I will never shop at this chain again. read more
