I love shopping here for not only arts & crafts supplies, but also home decor and gift wrapping items. They always have awesome sale prices and coupons available on their website that you can use right from your smartphone. Their seasonal selection is phenomenal and all at a bargain. If you're shopping for fabric, they have a very large selection and the store associates are very helpful with this as well. I recently refreshed my dining chairs with a beautiful fabric I found here and am very happy with the quality. During the holidays you can find very unique boxes and gift wrap items so your gifts will really stand out! Definitely a fun place for those with crafty and creative hobbies!! read more

joann is a good store for all around people who use fabrics for their arts and other purposes. one thing i have a problem with is the layout. its confusing and hard to find some things but not all. over all a great store and workers are very polite and friendly! read more

This is a smaller store than others, but typically has good service. They are also puppy friendly (but beware there is an employee allergic to dogs). There is a great amount of fabric and has a large selection of "red dot" or clearance fabric. The employees are knowledgeable and do sew (better than some other places). Overall, if you are a joann fan, it is worth a visit. read more

I bought buttons one day ago. I found it doesn't fit my clothes. I tried to return it but lost receipt. I tried to exchange it for other stuff. I placed an order with this store online. I received a confirmation of my order and then I waited for my purchase to be ready for pickup. Unlike it's competitor during the pandemic that responded within hours, I didn't receive an email for a month, at which time they said the product was unavailable. Then they sent me an email asking for a rating. I provided a negative rating. Today I got an email that they aren't publishing my rating. Surprised? I don't think so. read more

Writing this review basically as soon as I got back to my car. I love this Jo-Ann fabrics. The staff is super helpful and efficient, my cashier basically gave me every available coupon they had to offer (my bill went from $58 to $36), and they have a huge selection of items! I wish it was closer to my house but it's worth the trip. I'll definitely be stopping here for all of my future craft projects! read more

I'm generally a fan of JoAnns, but not this location. I really hate the parking lot; no one knows where they're supposed to be driving, and it's like playing Frogger trying to get from your car to the store. My biggest three complaints: 1. The aisles are WAY TOO SMALL. You cannot fit two people with carts (going opposite directions, for example) in one aisle. If you go down an aisle and someone else comes in from the other direction, one of you has to back out. 2. The staff, while friendly, is not particularly knowledgeable. (There are exceptions to this.) I don't expect each staff member to know everything about every craft, but someone working the cutting counter really should know what fabric types are available in the store and where they're located. 3. The cutting counter. There's not a clear place to line up out of the way, there's not a clear indication you're supposed to take a numbered tab (I always explain it someone when I'm there), and there's almost always a long line with one person cutting. read more

Most of the fabrics here are cheap! WalMart has the same stuff. The cottons fray horribly and DON'T try to get the frayed stuff replaced. They won't do it. When I tried, I was told that I should have known it would fray! Another piece of fabric I got there had a tear in it. They replaced that, but when I asked for one other inch on the piece for fraying, I was told I had to buy 1/8 of a yard as she couldn't cut an inch! What???? Really? I will find another store as the people working at this store are awful. I even called the manager to complain and got nowhere. Unreal. read more

I'm not the biggest fan of this location for a couple of reasons. 1. It's too dang far from me! I like to shop for craft stuff. A lot. I'm a crazy craft lady. I need a new skein of yarn once a week. A bottle of glue once a month. Fabric whenever I think of it. It's serious. But now that the old location by Target on Cedar is closed, my addiction has become so much harder to feed! Sigh. 2. The layout is a little weird. When I first came here, I was excited to see the fresh new store. I anticipated a great layout and max organization. Now I can't find the sale racks. I zigzag endlessly. The yarns are in multiple aisles and not simply yarn aisles. The items are a bit scattered. 3. This could probably be lumped into #2, but I feel a whole different level of confusion here. The checkout "corral" is so. weird. It took me a couple of visits to understand where to go to begin corralling myself through the candy bars. And sometimes (most of the time) everyone in the corral is jammed up against each other and breathing on one another. Not my style, folks. Not my style at all. I hate personal space invasion. With a passion. One time, these two girls might as well have had their chins on my shoulders and spoke to each other around my face. It was the worst experience of my life. Right there in the JoAnn's corral. I went home and crocheted curled in a corner for 2 days straight. Anyways, this is my nearest JoAnn's and though I have to plan my trip to make it completely worth it (hit HPB, Marshall's and World Market too), I'm not mad enough about all of the minute details to stop coming here. read more

I used to shop at the Cedar Center store and became very excited to find out that it was moving to Golden Gate, which was easier to get to by hopping on freeway and getting off at next exit. Cedar Road is a heck of a road to navigate. Mile wise I'm an equidistance from both. Storewise, there is NO comparison. The store at Golden Gate is such a disappointment and nowhere near as nice as the Cedar Center store. Most of the time, because it is so much smaller, the yarn I need or want is not carried in that store and if it is, there is a very limited amount of colors. The aisles are a nightmare. There is no way that two people can share any aisle, with or without a cart. NO WAY. So, even though I live a couple of miles from each store, my go to store is Mentor. There, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, stock is generous and the aisles do not pose a safety hazard. Come on Joann....for a chain whose headquarters are here, you would think your neighborhood store would have more to offer. Sorry, but you should have stayed where you were. read more

I'm not sure this particular JoAnn's is worse than any other JoAnn's. I've been to the JoAnn's that used to exist in Richmond Heights, the JoAnn's that used to exist in University Heights, the JoAnn's in Mentor, and this one. Also, I have purchased things online from JoAnn's. JoAnn's is probably among the worst retail stores I have ever patronized in my long life. One thing I would like to comment on at this particular store is the loud, obnoxious music that makes you want to run screaming every time I go into the store. It's as if they do not want you to shop there. It seems like they go out of their way to make the experience as unpleasant as possible. Here are a few of the reasons to avoid JoAnn's: 1. They do not have any quality apparel fabric at any price. 2. The prices are way too high for the very poor quality of fabric that they sell, and then they like to play games with coupons. Quit with the coupons and just price your merchandise competitively (oh, I forgot you don't have competition) 3. The stores are laid out in a disorganized, illogical way that makes it difficult to find anything. 4. The employees are fairly consistently snobbish, rude, unhelpful, and/or incompetent. 5. I would say about half the time when I order fabric online from JoAnn's they send the wrong fabric, or the fabric is not as described. 6. The selection of buttons, ribbons, notions, etc. is very limited, really overpriced, and when I did pick out buttons that I thought were metal, they turned out to be plastic, like all the other cheap merchandise at Joann's. 7. There is waaaaay too much cheap fabric like flannels and really cheesy looking "occasion" fabric, and costume quality fabric, along with fabric for holidays. JoAnn's is really just a high priced junk store. I would avoid it completely if I could. read more
