    Two taco plate

Came in on a Friday around 2:30pm. Came to enjoy our old spot from years past. Our group of six ordered: shrimp cocktail, burritos, nachos, and enchiladas, shredded beef taco, tostada supreme, horchata and margaritas. Food is always on point. The nachos were loaded. The shrimp cocktail - delicious (first time trying it). Burritos huge and stuffed. Tostada well made with crispy tortilla "bowl". Margaritas were great and horchata too! Restaurant is quaint and clean. Thank you for still being in business.

Good food, great service. Old school menu with huge variety of dishes. Free chips and salsa to start. Any burrito can be deep fried and wet. I had the nopales and pork burrito. Smaller than I remember but still good. Quesadilla, taquitos street tacos. All delicious. Only disappointment was I had talked up the fried ice cream but it was sold out. We will get it next time!

Best Taco Tuesday in Riverside California! Yummy, served hot, delicious you pick tacos enchiladas or tostada for 1.50 all day! I love this places since I discovered it. DON'T TOUCH THE PLATES, they really are HOT! Your food doesn't get cold. Great for lunch! Dinner time happy hour too. Sweet servers too :)

We've been coming here for probably 30 + years. Sadly, I think the changes over the years have finally taken their toll on this classic restaurant. The food has always been good and still is, but as the economics have changed, so have the prices and portions. No longer included in the combo meals is the basic salad. I would also say the plate the food is served on has shrunk as has the size of the taco. We used to see value in the amount and quality of the food but not so much anymore. The quality is still there for the most part but for $17-18, a combo plate isn't the value it used to be. I'm holding a tortilla chip next to the taco for reference. Yeah, that's how small the taco is. It's hard to believe these changes are saving enough money to make much of a difference. Go back to the way things were and maybe add one more $1 to the price. I could handle that. Oh, and we miss Yolanda. She was the best waitress they had.

Came to check this place out, at first, the outside looked rough, and I even thought it was closed. But once I stepped inside, I was pleasantly surprised. The place is very clean, well-maintained, and has a welcoming atmosphere. The service was genuine, attentive, and on point. The salsa had a nice kick, and the chips were fresh. The food itself was authentic probably the closest you'll get to real Mexican flavors in Riverside. Everything was perfectly seasoned. The pricing is unbeatable, I spent $35 for three beers and a burrito, which is a great deal. I got the carnitas burrito, and while I felt it could've had a little more meat, the flavor was definitely on point. Overall, great experience. I'd definitely recommend this place and will be coming back!

The meal started off strong with their chips and salsa--super fresh and flavorful. For my entrée, I had the chicken fajitas. While they were cooked properly, I wish they had a bit more seasoning to really bring out the flavor. My wife had the enchiladas divorciadas, which were beautifully presented, but unfortunately, the filling was a bit cool. She probably should have sent it back, but since we were in a hurry, we didn't bother. On the positive side, my daughter had the carne asada burrito, and she said it was excellent. Service started off great with our younger male waiter being very attentive at first, but it slowed down significantly as our meal went on. By the end of our visit, I actually had to go up to the register to ask to pay. It was lunch time, and it wasn't that busy, so this felt a bit out of the ordinary. Despite the hiccups, I'm willing to give Morena's Mexican Cuisine another try, as it may have just been an off day. The chips and salsa, along with my daughter's burrito, showed that they definitely have what it takes to impress. I'll reserve final judgment after my next visit!

I found out about it through my cousin, who's a UCR alum, and I'm really glad I finally got to try it. The staff were super nice and attentive, constantly coming by our table to check if we needed more water, tortillas, or anything else we might want. Even with how busy it was, they still made sure everyone was taken care of, which I really appreciated. The restaurant was packed, and it actually surprised me because I don't usually see that many people at restaurants in Riverside. The energy inside felt lively but still comfortable. One of my favorite parts was the fresh tortillas. They come out hot and fresh from the oven, and you can literally watch them being made right in front of you, which made it even better. And the best part is they're free. We ordered the carne fajitas and chile relleno. The fajitas were incredible, the meat was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, with that perfect smoky sear that comes from being cooked fresh on a hot skillet. Everything came out sizzling and stayed flavorful with every bite. The chile relleno was also really good, with a nice balance of savory and slightly creamy filling that paired well with the sauce. It was actually my first time trying fajitas, and I can confidently say I'll be ordering them again the next time I come back. I definitely plan on returning while I'm still at UCR to make up for all the years I didn't know this place existed.

First time coming to the restaurant for all of us. The ambience was cool and I liked the fact that they made the tortillas fresh. The food was cool I guess. My grandmother got the chicken fajitas but there were no bell peppers with it, just onions. The tamale was mid. My Dad and myself ordered a basic bean and cheese burrito. I did not like the fact that it wasn't mentioned that the beans are made with bacon until AFTER we received our food! My dad doesn't eat meat and the rice is made with chicken as well. The server did bring him something else but this needs to be stated on the menu or upon ordering! We were sat right next to where they made the tortillas and can see them being made since they had glass windows around it. However, there was one gentleman that was making tortillas who was on his cell phone texting or whatever CONSTANTLY at the same time while doing this. He had a glove on one hand and no glove on the other, and was touching the tortilla dough.....We all know how dirty a cell phone is! And what made it worse is at one point he itched the inside of his nose with his finger, and didn't even wash his hands or have gloves on after that. Definitely made my stomach turn and what caused me to go and write this review. I suggest a camera be placed at the tortilla station, add the notes about bacon in the beans and chicken in the rice, and add bell peppers to the fajitas. Also, maybe give the option of meatless beans and rice for the non-meat eaters
