    Ladies restroom so cute. 2/7/26

My daughter sent me their videos from IG and so I decided to make it a mother daughter trip. We are an hour away from the place but honestly we weren't disappointed. There is plenty of parking. As soon as we walked in, we were immediately greeted and asked if it was a to go order or if it was dine in. Once we said it was dine in, we were asked to sit anywhere. I would say that the inside is clean it's brand new so nothing looks rundown or old. I ordered the papa Loca with Asada. Since it's a giant potato I feel like it needs a little bit more sauce only because the potato although it shouldn't be the only star of the show, it is quite overpowering for what is put on top. But I will say that what helped it was the quality of their meat. The asada was quite flavorful and they are generous with it. I did go to their salsa bar and they only have two sauces which in my personal taste and opinion needed more flavor more spice level and some salt. I should mention the salsa bar also has cucumber, radishes, plenty of limes, and I believe ketchup packets. No salt. Would have wanted some of that but I'm sure if you ask the ladies they will provide it. My daughter ordered the hot Cheeto burrito with asada. She loved it!! She finished it all up! The cheese sauce that is spread all over was so good it is like a mild spicy level nacho sauce. I will say it reminded a lot of the grilled cheese burrito at Taco Bell. It's one of my faves. Except this has excellent top tier carne asada of course. I will end it by saying that this place is worth a visit if you're definitely close by. I don't regret driving the hour because it was still an experience with my daughter and we had a good time. I do feel like it just needs a few retouches on some of the items that I was able to try so it tastes more authentically Mexican.

Dined here 5/6 11:30am. I don't understand their hours of operation. They have very few breakfast items and open at 7 AM during the week and 9 AM on weekends. The chips taste like they're out of a bag versus freshly fried. The diced meat is clearly out of a bag pre-cut and preseasoned. The rice and beans taste bagged also. It sucks because we could use a good authentic, Mexican food restaurant nearby. This was a chance for them to showcase their food and sadly we will not be back. With how slow it was (we were the only ones there), the front door glass could've been wiped, the salsa bar could've used a wipe also as well as the middle table that seemed dusty from the ceiling. The girl working was kind, but the food did not sell it for us. We'd rather go across the street to Flat Top Bar and Grill for their fresh homemade chips and salsa. Flat Top also has amazing Chilaquiles and tacos.

I saw this place advertised on social media and it looked really good so I had to pull up and try it. Well I can't lie, I was very disappointed. I ordered the chilaquiles burrito. Firstly, they charge $4 on top of the price advertised if u add meat even though it says it comes with it,so the $13 turned into $19 and that makes no sense. 2nd the burrito wasn't very flavorful. The seasoning of the meat wasn't great and the egg was flavorless. And the burrito fell apart on me but they did give me a fork and knife. The food wasn't nasty just not much flavor. It's very unfortunate because I thought I was going to like this place. The salsa bar is legit I will give them that and it's really nice inside, but I doubt I'll be returning.

I decided to stop in the other day to try this new place and everything was great. It was really nice inside, very clean, and the employees were friendly and helpful. I ordered a carne asada burrito, 2 carne asada tacos and 1 chicken taco. There was also a salsa bar to the side where you could help yourself to salsas/chilis/cucumbers/etc. The burrito came with rice, beans, meat, cilantro and onion. It was a decent sized burrito, and came with some chips on the side. I do wish it had a little more meat in it. I'll probably ask for extra next time. The tacos were good too. I really enjoyed the flavor of chicken taco best - cooked perfect and had great flavor. And the red and green salsas were both really good too. I did see they have a chili relleno burrito on their menu, and I look forward to trying it out next time!

We're always excited to try new spots that pop up in Riverside, since it's home. It's a smaller location in one of the newer developments on Van Buren in the Woodcrest area. Though small, the inside is cute and trendy with the neon signage layered over foliage. I particularly liked the bathroom lol and I'm sure you can see why in the photos. The employees were very nice and welcoming. We ordered the chilaquile burrito (green, but you have a choice of red or green), the chile relleno plate (comes with two chile rellenos, rice n beans), the carne asada fries, an horchata, and a jamaica. We ordered to go at the counter and waited about 25 minutes or more for the food. The lady at the counter made sure we had our drinks while we waited, which was much appreciated. We didn't mind the wait too much, hoping that meant everything was homemade (within reason, of course). The presentation was was nice, even in the to go containers. The beans were tasty and they give you a choice of the cheese on top. The rice, chilaquile burrito, and chile relleno were a bit bland. The fries were perfectly cooked, the asada was well seasoned, and the chipotle sauce was SO good. The fries weren't the seasoned fries we saw on the menu video, so that was disappointing because it was one of the reasons we ordered those. It was our first time there, so I'm not sure if they ran out or changed it. They were still really good, though. The jamaica was good and not too sweet. The horchata seemed homemade but had a bit too much cinnamon for my taste. The food is moderately priced and they have desserts as well. We didn't try any this time, but the churros looked delicious.

This place is new to the area and I definitely recommend it. The portions are a good size and the food is very tasty. The staff is friendly and show great customer service. The restaurant is very clean and super trendy with the cutest cleanest bathroom. Will definitely come back.

If I could give this place 1 million stars I would Not only is the food so fresh it looks and taste so good. The Agua Fresca is like nothing I've ever tasted. It is fresh not a lot of sugar but taste like there is and it's made from scratch with true authentic Mexican flavor. They are some of the nicest people I have ever met You feel like family when you walk in this place I will definitely be coming back here. I just happen to b be driving by and I live down the street and I was picking up lunch for my husband and I decided to stop here and I'm so glad I did. The owner Jose is so nice. I pray that God blesses your business and your family.

Churros, ice cream, strawberry and chocolate. Sorry I took a pic after I already started eating. It started off beautifully done.

Hot and tasty food. My favorite was the Al pastor burrito, perfection. My wife had tacos( steak and chicken) she loved them. Definitely going back soon. Oh, I indulged in an ice cream and churro dessert, absolutely delicious. Churros were crunchy, sweet and covered in cinnamon. Perfect end to a great dinner. Thank you for great food and service!!!

While they were cooked properly, I wish they had a bit more seasoning to really bring out the flavor. My wife had the enchiladas divorciadas, which were beautifully presented, but unfortunately, the filling was a bit cool. She probably should have sent it back, but since we were in a hurry, we didn't bother. On the positive side, my daughter had the carne asada burrito, and she said it was excellent. Service started off great with our younger male waiter being very attentive at first, but it slowed down significantly as our meal went on. By the end of our visit, I actually had to go up to the register to ask to pay. It was lunch time, and it wasn't that busy, so this felt a bit out of the ordinary. Despite the hiccups, I'm willing to give Morena's Mexican Cuisine another try, as it may have just been an off day. The chips and salsa, along with my daughter's burrito, showed that they definitely have what it takes to impress. I'll reserve final judgment after my next visit!

I found out about it through my cousin, who's a UCR alum, and I'm really glad I finally got to try it. The staff were super nice and attentive, constantly coming by our table to check if we needed more water, tortillas, or anything else we might want. Even with how busy it was, they still made sure everyone was taken care of, which I really appreciated. The restaurant was packed, and it actually surprised me because I don't usually see that many people at restaurants in Riverside. The energy inside felt lively but still comfortable. One of my favorite parts was the fresh tortillas. They come out hot and fresh from the oven, and you can literally watch them being made right in front of you, which made it even better. And the best part is they're free. We ordered the carne fajitas and chile relleno. The fajitas were incredible, the meat was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor, with that perfect smoky sear that comes from being cooked fresh on a hot skillet. Everything came out sizzling and stayed flavorful with every bite. The chile relleno was also really good, with a nice balance of savory and slightly creamy filling that paired well with the sauce. It was actually my first time trying fajitas, and I can confidently say I'll be ordering them again the next time I come back. I definitely plan on returning while I'm still at UCR to make up for all the years I didn't know this place existed.

We have not been here since the 90's and I have to say, it was much better back then. All in all, there is just no flavor. The salsa tasted like watery tomatoes, our waitress gave us a little side of habanero salsa to incorporate with it but that heat is the extreme for me. We ordered the Mesquite chicken and steak fajitas which were less than average. Not sure if it was just a bad day, but the taste of the protein did not match up to the wonderful smell of BBQ outside the restaurant. The tortillas were just ok, first batch was not even warm. My Michelada was good though. Bummer visit after being away for so long. Looks like the interior could stand a makeover.

I was embarrassed to even ask so I started doing it myself but they jumped right in without being asked. If I'm being honest, usually I'm not a fan of buffet meals, so I wasn't expecting much. But everything served was SO delicious! The fajitas were my favorite dish, not only flavorful but also nice & moist. Not only that, but they refilled the food for us as it ran out. They brought out to-go boxes for the leftovers, & best believe my family took home every last bite! The lime margarita tower was SO yummy but also hella dangerous because it was strong!! Other restaurants will give you watered down drinks but El Patron doesn't play. We were only planning on one but it was so good, we couldn't resist getting another. Their service went above & beyond expectations-- continuously checking on us, refilling drinks/food, taking photos, etc. Not only that, but also, when my young autistic nephew unfortunately got sick, they were so incredibly compassionate about it & helped clean up the mess right away. I was absolutely blown away by the attention to detail & quality of care. As my grandma is getting older, we are especially cherishing these final years with her. We spent thousands overall (venue, music, photographer, special mass, etc) but every last cent was worth seeing her happy with all of her loved ones. After many months of planning, I was super nervous about something going wrong but I can honestly say that core memories were made. Thank you to Santiago, Leslie & Cecilia for your hospitality, good food & work ethic-- it truly meant so much for our family unit.

I started getting a side of chips - which they make fresh to order. And I dip them in the remaining consume. While there are other good local birria spots, this is at the top. And, is the only one I've ever seen a Birria Sandwich. Which might be my favorite item to get anywhere. Everything's made fresh and the prices are good. I get a Birria sandwich with fries, a side of consume and a bottle of Pacifico for like $21. The owner also super nice, every time I go I feel welcomed. I like supporting small local businesses, especially ones where the food's this amazing. And one thing that really stands out, I've eaten here probably 25 times. It's always incredible, I've never had even a so so meal here. With the exception of In N Out, I can't name many spots that I know will be delicious every time. The consistency's 100%. This is one of maybe 5 places I can recommend to anyone with complete confidence
