White pizza - tomatoes & arugula

Always good pizza & vibe, kinda quiet today I'm ok with the quiet , parked directly in front and a table for myself

This place has quickly become my go-to neighborhood slice, and I genuinely look forward to stopping in every time. The pizza is consistently amazing -- Thin, crispy, hot, & so satisfying. It honestly reminds me of the pizza I grew up eating back home in Jersey, which makes it extra special for me What I love most is the variety; They always have such a great selection of slices, and sometimes I secretly hope they're a little low on plain cheese so I can try something new -- Bc every time I do, I end up loving it. The Caprese slice is especially delicious (and somehow feels lighter + fresher if you're trying to get some greens in) Beyond the food, the staff here is incredible. Everyone is so kind, welcoming, & clearly works really well as a team. On one visit, one of the guys working there noticed me and casually asked what I wanted to drink & brought me a water :') Such a small gesture, but it really meant a lot & made me feel so taken care of The space itself is cozy and inviting, and they recently renovated, which makes it feel even more open & comfortable. I love sitting in the back and looking at all the photos, decor, & little mementos while waiting -- It gives the place so much character & warmth Overall, this spot never misses; Amazing pizza, great energy, & genuinely kind people -- If you're craving a solid slice, this place delivers every single time

This place has good Brooklyn style pizza. Clasp 2 hands to together in devotion and bow your head in thanksgiving. They didn't even have mushroom. They did have arugula, baby tomatoes, mozz, sesame seeds on the crust, sprinkled fresh parm & evoo right out the oven! I love pizza. But great pizza. No no this is not my first review & what does that tell you?? I'll tell you what it says it says that when someone asks for you to house sit on President.... You come here. You come to Franklin Ave and you get pizza from these people. And you enjoy it. Deep Dish Pepperoni Ranch 5/5 Margharitas 5/5 Coke no ice was coke no ice

Phenomenal pizza with fast and welcoming service, what more could you ask for! We ordered the salumi personal pie and it was phenomenal, super fresh. The salumi with the hot oil was perfect. The crust was amazing, very very crispy and kept it all together. The decor was very unique for a pizzeria with hilarious signage and booth seating. I'd definitely come back!

Top tier artisan pizza located in Crown Heights Brooklyn, a bit off the usual pizza trail. A Gem, delicious, constructed with love, care, and vision, absolutely delicious pizza. We Went here recently off a yelp search when near by. Joe and Sals is under rated at a 4. They should be a 4.5 or even a 5. Highly recommend Limited seating

Question? Why do New Yorkers get so twisted when it comes to pizza? Who has the best? What neighborhood? Greenpoint? Bushwick? Williamsburg? Seriously, it's just bread, cheese, sauce and olive oil? Right? What's the big deal? Answer: for us New Yorkers, especially Brooklynites as myself, IT IS A BIG DEAL!!!!!! Thus, when I'm in a cheating mood no ordinary slice will do. That is why I travel to specific Brooklyn pizza places to find a really great slice. One night I was on Google and the top ten ( here we go, according to pizza enthusiasts) pizza places in Brooklyn popped up. As I scrolled to find a place I have not dined at, Joe and Sal's caught my attention. I was surprised I hadn't dined there due to Eastern Parkway being a home away from home. The article stated the Sicilian slice was THE slice to get. Mind you J and S offer burrata, deep dish, nonna and more as far as Sicilian slice options. So here I am in this cool pizza joint with Michael Jackson staring at me from the poster hung in the back as I order my Sicilian. After a five minute wait, warmed up and asked if I want olive oil drizzled on the slice ( I passed), I stared at my massive slice. Wow! It's love at first sight. But how does it taste, you ask? In the words of Michael Jackson, "Don't stop til you get enough" fantastic! You know that first bite: the synchronicity of bread to cheese to sauce.. it's the ultimate bite and it was yummy. The crust is hard and dense, the cheese and sauce melts in your mouth and just the right amount of sauce. I ate every bite. How does Joe and Sal's ( formerly Nino's) compare to the others? Let's just say it's up there with Paulie Gees, L and B Spumoni, Forninos and yes Robertas. Meaning, THAT GREAT! I dare you to look and my picture of the Sicilian and not salivate! Joe and Sal's location is 862,Franklin Avenue, take 4 or 5 train to Franklin Avenue/ Medgar Evers College stop and exit from Eastern Parkway Southeast which leaves you half a block away.

    Look at all their locations!

I haven't tried them all, obviously -- too many coffee shops -- but what I have tried, and come back to, over and over, is the products of the amazing team at Posto. It's not just about the skillfully made drinks or the balance of flavors, the fresh, Italian-style coffee or the filled-to-order Italian donuts and Maritozzos (iykyk) -- it's the overall ambience. You come here to put down the screen and enjoy the moment. So often do we rush through our coffees, or even bring them to meetings, at the beck and call of the city's hustle. But at Posto the kind, talented, customer-first team asks you to slow down and escape all of that, to savor every sip of coffee in the classic Italian style. Walking in feels more like a poem than a cafe. Gone are the transactional, disingenuous "how are you's" and instead you get to discover all sorts of fun barista (and bar) creations, Tuscan products, and fresh pasta. The servers and owner are always read to provide a recommendation, and like in Italian cafes, they bring whatever treats and drinks you land on to you. (My favorite aperol spritz is also from Posto.) Outside, the peaceful garden hosts two large umbrellas. It's vibrant, as if you're in a neighbor's backyard and they are willing to share a colorful moment with you, birds chirping overhead. As I finished the last drop of my cappuccino this morning, I realized that forty-five minutes had passed, and every sip of coffee was just as good as the last. Thank you!

Note that this is not a place for lactose intolerant kinds. I thought the concept was fresh pasta (which it is) but their ultimate menu items must include that cheese wheel. So fine. I figured they can at least give a non-cheese dish but rules are the rules. The place was packed on a weekend early evening. Lines were not forming (like it showed in the viral videos) but they were cooking up quite a bit at the front, because of carry out orders. Either way, on all angles - literally pretty much everything is ALL good and very positive. However, the one thing that needs to be addressed is that wheel made of cheese. Whoever created that chunk of a wheel, kudos to them/company. By golly - that gargantuan of a wheel was so filled with calories - I kid you not, it almost converted me to being lactose intolerant! So if you're about to have triple bypass the next day, I do not recommend this joint until you're fully healed. Yes, the flavors were good, but the cheesey elements were just too too rich. You also cannot tell them to lessen it, it's just set the way they cook the pasta within that barrel. Otherwise, the decor/ambience was nice, and tidy aspects really show through. Customer service was wonderful. Support your local businesses!

One has a full bar and rooftop dining, and there's another rooftop with a DJ and bar, which is such a nice setup. We started with the honey ricotta served with toasted bread and the meat pizza. Both were SO good! For our mains, I ordered the bucatini with clams and my nephew had the steak. I love pasta and the flavors of the bucatini were definitely there, but the pasta itself was a little too firm for me. I love al dente, but I think this could have used another minute of cooking. The biggest surprise for me was my nephew's steak. I'm pretty picky when it comes to steak and usually only enjoy dry-aged steak from a steakhouse, but the steak here really surprised me.
