I was really excited to try Joe & The Juice. I had been looking forward to it opening at the mall, so when it finally did, I went in and ordered a smoothie. Unfortunately, it was quite possibly one of the worst smoothies I've ever had. It was chalky, oddly textured, and just really disappointing overall. That said, they do have a good selection of items on the menu, and the seating/setup inside is really nice. The space itself feels inviting and like a good spot to hang out or take a break while shopping. They also seem to be doing very well, so clearly a lot of people enjoy it and I may have just picked the wrong drink. I'm sure there are other menu items that are much better, and I may give the place another shot in the future. But for the price, I definitely expected a higher-quality smoothie experience.

The first time I ever came in was a couple of months ago, tried the tunacado which was pretty good, but expensive for a small sandwich that can be finished within what felt like 5 bites. Second I went here was a few weeks ago, and I ordered what I think was an iced lavender coffee. My goodness, some of the worst coffee I had in a while. I remember feeling instant regret as soon as I had my first sip. You could barely taste the coffee nor the syrup they used for the beverage, felt like they were "notes of" than any strong taste. Even mixing and trying to finish the coffee, it just did not taste better. I might want to come try the sandwiches again if I had an extra penny, but for the coffee I wouldn't bother wasting time nor money on it.

My sister was really craving a drink from here so we stopped by last weekend and I'm always so obsessed with the aesthetic of this store. The pink brings me so much joy and I got so excited when my sister suggested dropping in. I appreciated how patient the girl taking our order was with all of my questions about the flavours and ingredients of the different smoothies. She didn't make me feel dumb about my questions and answered them all in a way that made sense to me. I'm a super picky eater because I have a lot of allergies, so I told her I wanted just strawberry and apple in my drink and she made me exactly that. My sister also loved her chocolate flex which she added protein to. She said it was the perfect flavour, though a little thicker than she expected. The last time my sister and I dropped by we got sandwiches and while my sister loved everything about her avocado sandwich, I thought the bread was a little dry. The pesto helped a little, but my mouth definitely hurt from all the chewing and I had to take breaks while eating my sandwich. My sister and I have never sat in the restaurant because it's always super crummy and gross, but if it was clean it would be such a cute spot to take photos!! We're so excited for the Bellevue location to open.

I honestly really like their sandwiches despite the price, they are definitely doable at home though. Roughly $13-16 for one sandwich. But they're very crispy, fhe breads really thin which is probably what the crisp is about and it feels very clean. I've never had an upset stomach after eating. I think their matcha is okay, can't really taste the flavor too much, especially their blueberry matcha one. Very loud inside the store but service seems friendly.

There's a lot of good things to say and some surprising things. For a juice bar the juice was pretty good! I would definitely come back for one in the future. In the other hand the sandwiches are basically premade and ready to heat up in a fast oven so it was meh? By the kicker is, those two cost like 30 bucks! Wow, talk about being shell shocked on the price. I just can't bring myself to see how the sandwich was worth so much. The ambiance was ok, the place was definitely pound and people going in and out with not so much order. When my drink was ready there was no notification so pay attention to your order!

Been dying to try this place and never wanted to brave the line. Today we finally did it and…read moretotally worth it! All the staff is kind, efficient and friendly. And the food is on point - we loved everything we ordered. Cold brew was solid, Persian Bazaar Latte is so damn good. And my daughter raved about the berry passionfruit smoothie. Ordered the bagel sandwich, breakfast burrito and avo toast with salmon for food. Everything hit, never knew eggs with cheese and purple potatoes + yam would be such a good combo but it totally worked. My 8 year old devoured the avo toast. Perfectly grilled and large portion of fresh salmon, she loved it. Already planning my next visit, will definitely be back.

A great spot near Green Lake to get some work done. I haven't had the chance to try the food yet,…read morebut everything coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. I've only tried the tea so far, and I appreciated that it was served in a steeping pot, which kept it fresh and flavorful throughout my visit. The space has a really nice atmosphere and several tables are designated as device-free zones. I think it's a thoughtful touch that encourages conversation and being present, though it can make finding a workspace a little trickier if you're planning to study or work. Thankfully, I was still able to find a suitable spot without too much trouble. The vibes are great, the employees are friendly, and it's the kind of place that's easy to settle into for a while. Looking forward to coming back and trying some of the food next time.

Ive heard about this place for years - it's my parents go-to cafe when they're in the city. And…read morerightly so. Beautiful interior with a unique menu. Service enhances the gracious vibe. My sister and I dropped by spontaneously for weekend brunch (à Saturday korning around 9:30). There was a bit of a cluster of people waiting for tables, but they were larger groups and we were seated after about 10 minutes. We ordered cocktails while pursuing the menu. My sister enjoys their mimosas and I was curious about the "My name is Earl... Grey". Good choice - dangerously so. Smooth, flavorful, well balanced. Only a light perfume of Earl Grey. We shared our entrees: the harissa carrot hummus tartine and the roasted potato and scallion waffle. (Side note: we indicated our intention to the server, who thoughtfully brought extra plates so we could do that). The tartine was delicious. Just the right amount of spread on a thick slice of sourdough. It wasn't spicy at all; the sweetness of the carrots tempered the heat. A light sprinkle of romanesco and little cubes of feta finished it off. The waffle was a surprise. Crispy, savory, a whisper of sweetness, topped with a dollop of scallion butter. Unique and very flavorful. The homemade biscuit was large and easily shareable. The cappuccinos had a good, rich aroma. A double shot is the standard serving and had sufficient flavor and kick. There were so many interesting things in the menu, making it difficult to decide. I'll just have to come back.

Ambiance is good, line is annoyingly long and service is slow (constantly waiting to order, get a…read morewater refill, get the bill, etc) If you're vegan/vegetarian, it's a great place to try diet-friendly versions of baked goods and other classics (biscuits & gravy, Caesar salad). I like their kale Caesar and the croissant pudding was good but not worth its price. The biscuits and mushroom gravy are skippable.

Solid cafe for boba!…read more I've only been here for boba so can't comment on the other items, but there is food, smoothies, and booze at Cafe Happy. Located in the University District, Cafe Happy is situated off the Ave, so it's away from all the noise. This is my new favorite place to do work and edit content because there's plenty of seating (and different kinds too), many nearby outlets to charge your devices, free Wi-Fi, and board games if that's your thing. Temperature inside is nicely regulated. Lighting is sufficient. And there's a neon 'this is my happy place' sign that will brighten your mood. As for the boba, I've gotten their matcha, taro, regular milk tea, and Lil Lychee Iced Tea - all were solid. The chewiness of the tapioca was also consistent each and every time. For my customizations, which is usually medium ice and 50% sweetness, they come through each and every time. Also, I will point out that service is ninja-speed QUICK. You can order either at their kiosk up front, or through DoorDash or Uber Eats, and they are no cap super fast...! Does this place serve the best boba? No, which is why my rating is 4 stars instead of 5. But that's ok. Leave that for the Chicha Sanchens, TP Teas, and Xing Fu Tangs. Everything else about here slaps!
