Stumbled on this place thanks to yelp. So glad I had the opportunity to enjoy some of the best pizza I have had in a long time. We ordered two pizzas and cheese garlic bread. We are staying next to six flags, about a 6 min drive down the service road very easy to find and well worth the short drive. Hell I would drive 45 min for pizza like this. The location is great and very nice (very clean from what I could see ) we had take out. Immediately after my family started to tear into the pizzas I called back and ordered two more and an additional chews garlic bread. Total order: 1 large pizza Raffaele 3 large pepperoni pizzas 2 cheese garlic breads Damage: bout 60 bucks Making last call on second order: Priceless! Came for my birthday - we live locally. Service was terrible, it took them forever to seat us, they refilled drinks slowly, and the server was incredibly snotty when I sent back my food. Ordered Chicken Spedini and a salad with house dressing. Salad was two chunks of lettuce from the heart of iceberg with a bland dressing and one tiny tomato. Spedini was two large breasts drown in a rancid sauce. It was an oil sauce with so much generic Italian seasoning that you couldn't taste anything else. Chicken, prosciutto, tomato...all tasted like cheap expired salad dressing. I sent it back after a few bites. The server fought with me, took the food, then came back and threw the ticket at me - they had taken $7 off an $18 entree. No explanation, no apology, just pay $11 to not eat terrible food. We bought pizza and garlic bread on Monday night. The pizzas were fantastic. Right amount of cheese and sauce and the toppings were generous. We have ordered toasted ravioli on occasion and it doesn't disappoint. We encourage everyone to support our local, family owned businesses and this one will not disappoint. read more

We went as a group of 11. My pizza was great, and some people liked their food, but some didn't. One said the lobster bisque was extremely salty. But our bill was $26.25 for two, and my husband gave the server $32 and told her to keep the change. Apparently, she lost $5 because she came back later and rudely plopped down three quarters and sharply said to my husband "here's your change". It reflected badly on her instead. My husband has never shorted a server on a tip. Because of this, we won't go back. Others in the party thought her service was just fair, and she wasn't very friendly from the get go. It's a shame. I love the food here and I love that they are serving downtown Eureka - if you do go -- DON'T have Nicole as your server - I dined with my husband after we got off work on a slower Wednesday night. She took our order without writing it down - it was wrong - everyone else filled our drinks and pre-bussed our plates - she never checked on us and dropped the check as she was literally running by the table. I saw her at another table playing on her phone and motioning to someone else that she was cut. Decent place - ok but not great. Certainly not worth driving out to unless you happen to be in the area. The toasted cannelloni was the best thing I ate. Great take on the whole t-rav concept but in a different form that works well. The house salad was also yummy. Sadly, the tortellini was bland and not quite warm when it arrived. Short version: Terrible service, average food, sorta pricey. Long version: We waited 15 minutes to get our order in to begin with. While we waited we had the privilege of staring at huge blown up pictures of what I presume is the owner and all his family members that covered the wall. Was kinda awkward. When our server finally came by to get our order, we were told that they don't do the lunch specials on the weekends. That's an understandable policy (still irritating, but understandable), but it was printed nowhere on the lunch page of the menu. The appetizer and salad was a half hour wait after ordering. Entrees about an hour. When our server finally came by with our food she did not say "I'm sorry" but instead "Thanks for being patient." I find that pretty rude, actually, because she should be apologizing not presuming on our patience. My son's one-topping pizza was ok. My wife's Chicken Alla Mario was good, she said, but most likely that was due to the half gallon or so of cheese sauce covering everything. Ok I'm exaggerating, but the whole dish was easily 1.5k-2k calories. My meatball sandwich was ok, but the crust of the bread on the sandwich was stale. Sheesh. Any one of those things that happened would have been completely ignored by me. A mistake here and there is understandable. But taken together it means I will almost certainly never step inside this place again. And listen, I'm not normally a jerk. But I found myself so frustrated with the entire experience that I got all riled up. If you're in this area and want some casual food, check out Michelle's Cafe down the street. If you like St Louis style pizza, I'm not sure how you could be disappointed in any way with Joe's. The salads are phenomenal as well. The house and chef are great traditional style, but the spinach salad is a sleeper hit. It's awesome. My kids really enjoy the toasted raviolis. Occasionally, my wife gets pasta, and it's always fantastic. But I honestly can't go to Joes and NOT get pizza. It's so good. The service is A++. This is their best dish in my opinion: Scallops Bianco -- sauteed scallops with artichoke hearts, sherry wine and cream sauce & served over linguini The atmosphere is great too--cozy and comfortable, yet big enough for a lot of people to fit in. We live in Eureka (15 yrs), and visited here many times over the past few years, in fact for special events such as an anniversary or a birthday or even before Daddy Daughter dances. I just don't get it. The servers seem helpful, but the food is just average, the pizza is very expensive. We came back recently on the anniversary of the flood to support them, and left very disappointed. Biggest issues are the layout of the restaurant and the quality of the food, it is just not there. Each time we spend over $60 and that is on carryout, and leave asking what we had that made the dinner worthwhile, the answer is usually nothing special. I was gifted with the opportunity to stare at all three throughout the duration of the meal. The pizza? Okay. Nothing impressive. Crispy thin crust with a combo of cheese. The salad? It's green. I was here with some other folk to celebrate a birthday and found everything to be quite tasty. I had the Chicken Parm, which came with two big fried cutlets and the fries I had on the side were tasty too. The salad was an interesting mixture of lettuce, provel cheese, and a tomato. I had some spumoni for dessert and it was simply delicious! The atmosphere is like that of an old-fashioned Italian joint, with lots of mood-lighting and pictures. It got very busy and noisy but our server was attentive and nice. The only issues were they missed up parts of our order twice, bringing the wrong item or such, and the soda had a flat taste--both the Coke and Mr. Pibb. Worst place we have eaten in Eureka, and that's saying a lot. We were hoping to enjoy a birthday dinner for my mother in law, what we got was not so pleasant. The joes "special" pizza was gross, the crust was soft and mushy, the mushrooms and green peppers were clearly from a jar/canned. I never thought I'd need to ask if they use fresh ingredients on their pizza, even dominos uses fresh ingredients. My mother in laws stuffed sole was a gross mess, and my father in law got the vodka pasta, with processed subway chicken. Honestly, subway chicken would have been better. Please don't fool yourself by thinking, "it's so popular it must be good" it's not, I guess most people just don't mind paying a fortune for less than mediocre, dare I say, disgusting food. I've been going to Joes in eureka for a while, always great service. I guess the menu recipes changed though. I got a Joes pizza last week at 5 pm and it was out in 10 minutes. The toppings tasted like they were precooked and the cheese was bland. I ordered tutto-mare yesterday and it had more red onions than shrimp or sea food no scallops.? Received very poor service last night. Our waitress stopped at every table in our area SEVERAL times and never stopped at ours until I went out of my way to grab her attention. The other waitresses seemed to be doing fine. It was steady busy, but it was a Thursday night and like I said, she visited every table except ours. I asked for ranch, and was brought bread. (After 30 minutes of being there). & I was finally offered a refill as my ticket was laid on my table. We told our server about the situation and her response was oh she's the manager. This place is somewhere between a classic diner and a Classic Italian place. They serve you bread at first as normal, however it's cold and taste like it has just came from Walmart. You could tell that the food wasn't made fresh. However the place is nicely decorated and for the most part clean. The service is very nice and fast, however the server did touch our bread in moving the last slice to our plate before going to get a new basket...that was strange. The food wasn't bad at all it just wasn't good either. It's not somewhere I would go again. read more

We enjoy our dinners at Boccardi's. Last trip was on 8-18-18. I ordered the chicken mudega, I love lemon and it's very lemony! My husband ordered the scallops and he enjoyed it.
