We arrived and were seated very quickly. Super good and quick service. I ordered a drink and it had a extremely strange taste (it's the tap water used). I was not to happy with the taste however I continued to eat. I had some bread that was not fantastic however not bad. I don't think they filter the water and I'm disappointed in it. Food is mediocre at best. Service is awful. I am from a restaurant family so understand making maximum use of space but when you have to scoot in to let a neighboring tables customers get in or out you are over compensating. Dishes with sauce taste like dish soap- passing the bottle of olive oil or the stick of butter over a pan doesn't equal adding it to the dish. They have a reputation that they certainly don't live up to. Too bad there's not a good Italian place around. read more

We stopped in here on a weekday evening, and they seemed to be hoppin'. We were seated quickly though, and the service was fast and friendly. Hubby and I ordered the Chicken Bruschetta to share and it was HEAVENLY!!! Soooo moist and flavorful! It came with a salad, that we split and we chose the spaghetti with butter and garlic for our side. I gotta say, for a chain restaurant, they sure do know how to cook dat Italian! The service was terrible and it's the second time I've been there with the same waitress that gave lousy service not only that she forgot to put in order to go in and we had to sit at the table for 10 minutes after we got done eating waiting for the order because she forgot to put it in in addition to spaghetti and meat sauce was basically just covered with sauce kind of like tomato paste sauce which is terrible but I ate it because it was $15 and I was hungry. I don't think I would ever go back and I would not recommend that tray of pasta House, or any other Italian restaurant and the waitress actually argued with us too and the manager did nothing about it so I am done with that stupid place. read more

Joe's is the place to go for good Italian food and St. Louis style pizza. Several ingredients (bread, cheese, salami, etc.) come from "The Hill" in St. Louis. Everything is fresh. I'm not sure I've had anything on the menu that I didn't like. This time in, I had the Pasta Carbonara and my hubby had pizza. So good! Just left Joe Boccardi's with my daughter and had the worst service I've ever received from a restaurant. Our server, Natalie brought my salad before our drinks. I had to flag her down to ask for our drinks. When our food came, she never once checked on my daughter and I. But instead brought us the check? I asked if we could get bread with our meal like every other table there and her reply was "oh, you wanted bread??" I guess I didn't realize we had to ask for it. But everyone there didn't? She brought us cold, not even room temp, hard bread. The house salad only contained iceberg lettuce, provel cheese, and 2 cherry tomatoes. This restaurant is somewhat small, but a good choice in eureka for Italian . Everyone inside was very friendly and helpful, the server was attentive. I ordered the Chicken Marsala, and I was impressed. For Italian, marsala is my fav...I move around St Louis quite a bit, and have had the more well known Italian restaurants marsala, Joe Boccardi's recipe is amongst the best- if not better. (I say this, keeping in mind there are other Boccardi restaurants I haven't had, and this is my experience at Eureka.) Everything but the buffalo chicken pizza was bland , very under-seasoned and ended up getting tossed. The sausage on the pizza almost seemed spoiled. We always stop by Joe Boccardi's when traveling through St. Louis! The pizza is a perfect example of St. Louis style pizza, with the smoky provel cheese flavor. The rafaelle is our family favorite; a combination of pepperoni, bacon, Italian sausage, and Canadian bacon. The pizzas are very thin-crust, almost flat bread, in an oval shape served on a pan. The toasted ravioli makes a great St. Louis style appetizer! The atmosphere of the restaurant is old-school Italian. The service is usually a little slow and sometimes it's hard to get drink refills or more bread, but the quality of the pizza more than makes up for this. It gets busy on more popular nights. We most recently visited on a Friday and had to wait about 25 minutes for a table, so be prepared for a little of a wait. Overall, we love Boccardi's and will definitely return on our next visit to St. Louis. read more

Great service, but the food needs help! The water is not filtered - the chlorine smell is strong! Plus the Coke was almost flat and the lemonade tasted like Windex was mixed in. Dr. Pepper was like it should be. I believe it was an issue with their machine. The Italian sandwich was 80% bread. It included 1 slice of prosciutto, 8 tiny pepperoni, and 3 pieces of salami. This sandwich needs meat! I wish I had taken a picture, but didn't think to do that at the time. My hubby ate it because he's too shy to say anything and was hungry. :( The Joe's original pizza was okay. So was the Nonna salad. The house made dressing is great! That's a keeper recipe for sure. Pasta Con Broccoli has a bland sauce. No flavor. Overall this place needs kitchen help. With great food it could be a hit! read more

Have been here several times before and has been very good. Unfortunately, this last visit was subpar. Calamari appetizer was very good and salads with house dressing was delicious, as anticipated. But when it came to the cannelloni and pasta con broccoli entrees, to say it was disappointing would be an understatement. Hard to believe that two traditional entrees like these would not live up to the excellent quality that Joe Boccardi's has previously provided. Very bland on both accounts. However, service was excellent. No problems there, just wish we would have had a better experience for our anniversary dinner along with our family. The place looks really nice. The people we were with said that they had really upgraded the look of the place after the flood. I will say it was really nice and had a great outdoor patio. We sat inside and got there right before opening. The staff was very nice and let us inside. One of the staff even knew of one of our guests and greeted him very warmly which was really appreciated. Throughout the meal the staff kept checking in on us and making sue we were well taken care of. My food was delicious. I had the Chicken Alla Mario and it was awesome. I got the side of pasta and it was good. The salad was okay but nothing special. When I'm back in the area we will be back. read more

This place has the BEST St. Louis-style pizza I've tried since moving up here. Everything about the pizza is perfect -- the cracker-thin crust, the creamy provel, and the toppings are always perfectly cooked. I adore their house Italian dressing. It is so good. Their toasted ravioli is amazing, as well as the meat sauce it comes with. The service is decently quick, and the lunch menu is awesome (highly recommended). I've never had any kind of issue that would discourage me from coming back. Even the soda is surprisingly delicious. We stumbled upon Joe Boccardi's while looking for an ice cream shop in the area. So glad we did. The atmosphere was quaint, and inviting. Our server, Sarah, was friendly and very helpful with answering questions about the menu. She was kind enough to point out gluten free options when I asked, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn they have a gluten free pizza crust. The salad dressing was wonderful as were all of the items we ordered. Our orders arrived quickly and Sarah was quick to provide refills and to check on us. Moved to Eureka in 2022 and I hadn't been to this location in so long, ordered take out one night and it was god awful terrible. My calamari was fried to a crisp and not worth even eating. The chicken Alfredo tasted pasty and was cold, even though I was in the restaurant waiting for it before it was done so I don't know how on a 5 minute ride home it was cold when sitting down to eat it. Swore it wasn't worth going back again for...till today, in 2024, and it wasn't any better. My son and I were promptly greeted and sat by I'm assuming a busser. Little did I know then, but by the end of my meal I wanted to tip him more than my waitress. After getting sat it took some time to be actually waited on. Once that happened, we never saw her again. Another waitress brought out our meal and for some reason our check, and when I requested condiments, I wasn't given them by either waitress after some time, but by the busser that sat us after I politely asked him! My tortellini was Luke warm upon arrival. Would've loved to have sent it back to be warmed up, but the waitress never returned. The exact busser recognized after some time that we were finished and came over offering us boxes. If the original waitress who took our order wasn't going to take us as her table then it would've been kind of her to tell me, but instead I waited once again so long to pay, I just left cash on the table with the receipt instead of paying with card like I was originally going to do. read more

Not sure what happened to this restaurant, but my Steak Modiga, was less then impressive. I've had that style of steak prepared for me and this I have no clue what they put on it, in addition the cut was poor. I was with my wife and another couple who had complained about their meal as well.... I didn't say anything because the server was good. For $39.00 and a total bill $ 97.00 I would have expected more. In today's world and the cost of most everything I like consistency and tend to stick with those restaurants that are good everytime.
