For a restaurant that has been around as long as T Arcobasso, you would think by now they would have the restaurant business down to a science. Not the case. Stopped in tonight for a salad and pizza. Our salads came out pretty quick but could tell they are now cutting down on the portions. Ok...lots of restaurants are doing this these days and charging more. After about a 20 minute wait our waiter came to the table and said there was an mishap in the kitchen with our pizza and they were making a new one. After about another 40 minute wait out comes the pizza. The crust was so burnt it was hardly edible. There was maybe 10 pieces of meat on what they claimed was a 14 in pizza. I beg to differ on that one! It was more like a small which is 12 in. It will be awhile before we return. The management probably won't care. They think they are the "elite" of St Charles. But everyone knows they are just a small time restaurant from NoCo. Done with rant! read more

Love their food! The sauce is soo good I always ask for some to take home. The vibe is so family orientated, friendly, and cozy!

Everything there is fantastic. Our server was busy but friendly. The salad is amazing. The salmon was delicious. Portions are good sized.

Walked in on a Friday evening for dinner with a party of 4. We stood inside the front door and waited 5-10 minutes be seated. Made eye contact with a server who just kept on walking. No idea if there was a hostess or not. We never saw one. We eventually just left and ate somewhere else since nobody seemed to care to take our money. Very disappointed. read more

Been going here since they have opened. Use to be top notch Italian food, USED TO BE!!! Had the absolute worst dinner ever last night. Went of my norm and order the roast beef sandwich fries and skins. The roast beef tasted as though it was out of a frozen dinner. Fries you could tell were cooked in old grease and the potato skins were disgusting to say the least. My wife had ravioli that look terrible smothered in way to much sauce. Best family Italian restaurant in the entire state! I'm part Italian and this is the best family restaurant you can go too! The owners are always around and attentive. The staff is absolutely amazing and very friendly! Even if there is a wait. The ambiance here is just so on point! They are quick as possible still getting you seated and always worth the wait! Stopped in last night for dinner because I've had a goal of trying all the local Italian places since I moved here in March. Last night was craving massive carbs so stopped in this local joint for some Italian eats. We waited about ten minutes to sit which was relatively quick for no reservations on a Saturday night but they definitely seemed a bit understaffed. We sat down and ordered pretty quickly- but the menu is expansive and there's tons of yummy options to choose from. I ordered the Pasta Julia with a side combination salad and my boyfriend got a large Arcobasso's style pizza. We had fresh bread brought out to the table which was warm and delicious. The service was fabulous up until when I received my salad. It was covered in provel- not a bad thing for my cheese loving self. The dressing was creamy and delicious. I powered through the salad and it was a big portion- larger than normal side salad. Right up until the last fourth or so of the salad I spotted a pretty big dead ladybug, yikes. Lucky for me I'm not a massive germaphobe so I kindly let our waitress, Lauren, know. She took it away and brought out our entrees and nothing was further said about it- no biggie (expecting someone to mention it when the bill came out). We finished our fantastic meals- the pasta Julia was a very large portion with tons of seafood- absolutely delicious, I opted for the white sauce on it. My boyfriend loved his pizza, we boxed both as they were massive! Then the bill came out and everything was full price- I was definitely surprised that they didn't at least dock a few bucks off of the meal considering there was a massive bug in my food. Regardless, paid it and looked around for a manager but didn't see one- everyone was super super busy at the time. Overall the service was subpar and I think T. Arcobasso's could definitely improve on handling these types of situations. The food was great though. Service: 3/10- improve on bug-in-food situations (meal probably should have been comped) Food: 7.5/10 Ambiance: 5/10 -a bit more casual for my taste- typically when I think Italian I think less casual but no biggie Price: 6.5/10 read more

Last night's experience was disappointing. We arrived at the restaurant. There were 8 tables seated, no larger parties, only 2-3 people per table, and we were told it would be 15 minutes before we would be seated. We went to the bar and waited. The bartender did not appear for several minutes. We finally ordered and waited 20 minutes to be seated. I must admit I was willing to wait because I really wanted a salad. We were finally seated and waited at least 10 minutes for our server. Skip to dinner. The food quality was not what I expect from Arcobasso. The lettuce was frozen, the toppings were almost nonexistent and the salad dressing was not what it used to be. The spaghetti sauce tasted like jarred sauce, the meat was bland and added nothing to the dish. The roast beef sandwich was tough. The only redeeming thing was au jus. Traditional Italian. Traditional family owned. Very consistent and they try hard to accommodate in-spite of staffing issues. We're frequent customers but ownership does not recognize us but we're "ok" with that. Their bread is thick and luscious. Spaghetti and meatballs freaking rocks. Tonight's experience was just ok. The dinner salad was smaller than it used to be and the roast beef sandwich was about HALF the size it used to be...of course the prices are not smaller! The side of red pasta wasn't anything special...the sauce didn't taste house-made. The salad dressing and warm bread was tasty. Served hor's D'oeudvres with out napkins or silver ware, brought a Chianti instead of the Montecarlo Rossi (Sangiovese) said they changed it but didn't bother to update the menu then tries to charge us for it! We loved the Italian dressing the grocery stores used to carry. I understand that Arcobasso's contracted the bottling out to a manufacturer that was bought out. New owners discontinued all their acquisition's smaller customers. Only place to get dressing is this restaurant. Their dressing is good, but it's not the Italian we know and love. Met a friend at T.Arcobasso's for a quick dinner. The last time I had been they were much larger and further north on 94 so it's been a while. My only expectation was that I knew I was in for a good salad. When I was a kid they used to sell this salad dressing in a jar at Schnucks and my mother used to buy it because I loved it. The salad dressing (creamy Italian) is still great. It's served on a basic salad of iceberg lettuce and provel cheese ropes. For my dinner I ordered Penne Pasta and Cauliflower. This was just OK. One of the tables next to us ordered two large salads that looked amazing and the other table ordered pizza which also looked great. I envied their choices. My friend enjoyed the ravioli. All in all a pleasant meal with friendly service and honestly I would return just for salad. read more

This restaurant has old world tastes and the best salad and dressings of any Italian restaurant I've been. The portions are wonderful and the pastas is piping hot right from the oven and served in the baking dish. We loved the bite size calamari and the baked mostaccioli and lasagna was superb. read more

I went to T. Arcobasso's with a group of 19. We dine out at different restaurants at least once a week and have been meeting over a year. This is the FIRST TIME members of the group have overwhelmingly told me "this is a repeat." I spoke with Toni several times by phone before the event and she was always extremely helpful and inviting. Those of us that arrived early were taken care of by Lauren at the bar. ($3.00 for an Amaretto Sour!) She always noticed when a new group member arrived and quickly took drink orders. Our group was seated promptly and our drinks orders were taken. Stacy and Nikki served our table and were on top of things all night. Ethan helped serve our table. I don't think I ever saw him NOT smile. All three worked hard to keep everyone at the table happy. I started with a dinner salad with their house dressing. I've had their dressing before so I knew it would be good. Others at the table tried the raspberry vinaigrette and all were thrilled. A number of people had the Italian Wedding Soup. Every bowl was empty. My entree was the cannelloni with mixed red and white sauce. I get cannelloni from somewhere almost once a week. So when I say their cannelloni was the best I've ever had, it's saying something. One of my friends had the Seafood Ravioli Antoinette. He said there wasn't as much seafood in the ravioli as he would have liked, but the excellent sauce made up for it. Another friend got the Blake chicken and said it was delicious. Other items friends had were the Chicken Marsala, Filet Concetta, Chicken Concetta, and Baked Orange Roughy. No complaints from anyone! With such a large group of adults, as you might expect, most of us were on separate tickets. In fact, there were 18 separate tickets. This has been an issue in some other restaurants. Went there for a salad and a few drinks. Ended up ordering those and some toasted raviolis. Service was extremely slow, had about 4 people waiting on us at a time. Was not busy and there were plenty of workers so it did not look understaffed. We felt forgotten about while everyone else seemed to be getting service. We have wanted to try this for years and finally went. Decided to take advantage of the bar happy hour specials. Typical appetizer fare. I can honestly say it was good, but no different than so many other places. It is only about 2.5 miles from home so it was convenient for us. The bar is not really set up to eat at though, it would be nice to have tables in the bar area. We will try again sometime soon, just not for the happy hour. Service was friendly and pretty fast. We have been going to Arcabassos since the 80's when Tom had his place in Ferguson. Missed them when they moved to St Charles. Was so glad when I moved to Weldon Spring to see that Toni opened on Wolfrum. The house salad is the best! The pasta is the greatest! Out of 100's of meals I only had 2 that were not up to par. The good meals far outweighs the two that weren't so good. The people that gave bad reviews either had a very rare experience Or they were not going to be haPPy no matter what. I highly recommend Arcabassos and will be going back. Looking forward to my left overs which usually give me one or two more meals. This actually cuts the price in half or less! read more

First off this place is awesome.. Great staff and owner on site walking around.. Very family friendly.. The food here was out of sight.. Their home made salad dressing is amazing.. And the lag asana was out of this world.. A perfect balance of cheese and meat and not greasy at all.. If I lived in the area I would eat here at least once a week.. And the prices are very affordable dinner for 3 was under $60.00... So lastly if your in the area swing bye and eat here.. You won't be disappointed!! read more

Consider me a longtime fan until my last two visits. Someone forgot how to make lasagne. No one wants lasagne with three big chunks of meat, leaving the rest of the layers devoid of meat. The meat is supposed to be browned in pieces and distributed throughout. It feels sloppy and not up to their former standards. My friend did not like her ravioli at all and the chocolate cake we ordered for dessert was hard as a rock (had to send it back). The salad and cheese garlic bread were good which is why I gave 2 stars and not one. Please get the food quality under control! read more

Got there at 6:20 didn't sit at a table for over an hour. Food was good but that was almost another hour. Probably won't be back with 5 people again on weekend not worth the torturous wait. I guess like everywhere must be short staffed as not all tables are being used. Just beware you might have to wait a bit for a table on weekend so aggravating...might not be restaurants fault but it is what it is.... A long wait!!! read more
