I went here with my fiance for breakfast and I was extremely disappointed. First off, it was very unorganized and I barely knew where to go! Then the cashier was rude to us for no apparent reason. This place is right down the street from me so I can walk there. And of course I was anticipating the opening of this restaurant . I was pleasantly surprised besides donuts that they have other food as well. I didn't 't expect them to have lunch like burgers, shakes, chicken sandwich, fries. And they're all delicious. The donuts of course are awesome. A little more expensive than your average donut shop but so much better so you pay for what you get. If you do go there a few hours after opening they don't have some of the donuts and I'm not sure how often they make them. They're so crowded on Saturday and Sunday whereas a few times I was going to meet someone there and we went and we could not even get in the door so that kind of sucks. The parking is not great, just a parking lot in the back but not easy to get in and out especially by Hart's road, very congested over there. Just had a great breakfast here! Doughnuts are great, the biscuit sandwich is amazing and they have great coffee. All the people are so nice, and the place is so nice and clean. Terrible. First time there. We asked questions about where the cheese was on the plate. They said the cheese is on the eggs. Ok good. We asked if the gravy was on the biscuits. They said no it's on the side. Got our food and cheese was on the biscuit not the eggs. And gravy was all over the food. Terrible. Had them remake it and still got it back wrong. Never going back. The single burger was an OMG! on the first bite. Fresh, favorable burger with a sauce that has just the right amount of spice. You get this flavorful little ping that just puts a Wow to it. We haven't tried donuts yet, that will be another day. Staff is all very friendly. Hubby had the meltdown and it was great also. I did my taste test. The bread/bin was awesome. I got a cold shoulder from Glenview location in the middle of frigid winter. We called ahead and no one answered so we drove to Glenview location just to find out that it was closed for the day. So when I heard they opened another location in Niles, I hop in the car and drove there. While Glenview location serve daily commuters, Niles location serves pretty much everyone. Parking is limited but not too bad on the weekend. I didn't get a cup of coffee but I saw someone on yelp complaining about their coffees. There is a Starbucks within the walking distance. Niles Police station +Starbucks+Joe Donuts within walking distance must be a perfect pair for the cops. I wish my office have something like those near by. Service was easy and quick, strawberry and s'more donuts were our kids favorite. Strawberry had a little tartness to it, which is refreshing because anything with strawberry flavor has nothing but sweetness to it. I personally liked Pistachio. We've been to the Joe Donut in Niles twice now, and both visits have been fantastic. The donuts are great (and I've got to say the best old-fashioneds I've eaten), but the brunch and lunch entrees are what bring us back. So far we've tried the biscuits and gravy, waffles, a phenomenal juicy burger, and a Monte Cristo like concoction combining a jelly donut, eggs, cheese, and ham (can't quite remember the name). All have been delicious, all have been extremely well executed. Since this isn't far from home, we'll definitely repeat. read more

I LOVE this place. Immediately impressed with the decor and chill vibe. The music's great. But the best part is BREAKFAST! I got a breakfast sandwich with bacon, ham, egg, n topped with syrup. Theres basic pancakes, egg sandwiches or donuts for regular people and lots of yummy combos for adventurous foodies. I always clean my plate here. Prices are super reasonable for the amt of food you get. Fresh squeezed OJ and espresso are delicious as well. I can't resist checking out new businesses, especially if said businesses are Donut based :) First impression: super cutely decorated; makes you want to stay. They even have a big window where you can watch the donuts being made! Sometimes new businesses have staff issues to work out... not here! The young lady behind the counter, Casey, couldn't have been sweeter and more attentive. It was about an hour before closing, so the remaining donut selection was somewhat limited, which should be understandable to most customers. But I watched as Casey remained patient and apologetic to some crabby old ladies who wanted to know why "that's all you have left?!" (get here sooner Gladys & Marge!) The strawberry frosted I had put DD to shame and the iced coffee was delicious. Can't wait to come back to try the breakfast menu. read more

Have stopped at this place several times now! Donuts and biscuits are amazing. My favorite is the red velvet almond donut and the chicken biscuit. Minus 1 star because the service is spotting. Most of the time the counter people are helpful and friendly. The couple of times the blonde helped me and she is awful. She gave us the wrong donuts once, and her demeanor is just sour. Why the 3 Star? First off, the breakfast is pretty good. I personally prefer the Chicken & Waffles. The chicken taste very good, and what I really like about it, is that it isn't over salted like so many other types of fried chicken. After a year of saying we want to try the Burgers, today was the day. This is where the loss of 2 Stars comes in. That's an awfully big Brioche Bun, and a whole lot of lettuce tomato and onion for what are - paper thin burgers. I had a double, and there was less meat in both those patties combined, than what you would get on a McDonalds Hamburger in a childs Kids Meal. When I think of a double burger, I expect at the very least, 2 - 1/4 lb burgers. But when a burger is equal in thickness to a slice of American Cheese (not kidding), and the slice of tomato is almost double the thickness of the 2 patties stacked, then there is plenty of room to gripe. I don't think there was even 1/8 of a lb of ground beef on my entire double burger. If you ask me, that was a salad on a bun, and the meat was nothing more than a condiment. My wife had a single, and struggled to even locate the meat on her cheese burger. So here is some really good constructive criticism. Get some 1/4 or 1/3 lb hamburgers, and charge more accordingly. I would definitely be willing to pay more, to actually have some beef on that sandwich. I can't even say I liked it, because I couldn't taste any beef. Sorry - but that isn't a Burger. The patties are thinner than the patties on a Slider at White Castle. TRUTH! You guys can do better than that. The fries were good. read more

Went here for breakfast with my wife this past Saturday. We arrived at around 10:00 am and it was pretty chaotic inside. You grab a menu when you enter and then proceed to the front registers to order. Luckily, although the place was crowded, there wasn't a long wait to order. Additionally, an employee assisted us with finding a table quickly. I ordered the cowboy breakfast, which consisted of eggs, potatoes (almost like tater tots), and a pancake. The portion size was large and the pancake was too. The potatoes were very good, as were the eggs and pancake. You will definitely leave full if you have this meal. My wife had the biscuits and gravy. The portion size was also large and the dish was tasty. Of course, we had to order donuts. I had the s'mores donut and my wife had a traditional glazed donut. We were both a bit disappointed by both. While the s'mores donut was good, it was nothing spectacular. The glazed donut had very little flavor. We've certainly had much better donuts elsewhere. Nonetheless, the service was friendly, the breakfast dishes were delicious, and the price was good (the total came out to approximately $26). I would definitely go back for the cowboy breakfast, but not the donuts. If you are in the area, this is a good breakfast spot. However, you should go early or late morning if you want to get a parking spot and find a table quickly. read more

Let me start by saying the donuts were good, however, the breakfast was marginal at best. I went in on a Sunday morning and got there about 6:45. You would think my breakfast would be hot and fresh, right? Wrong! The potatoes (coated in a egg and flour mix then deep fried (I'm thinking) were just warm. My veggies were room temperature. Literally the best breakfast sandwich and donuts I have ever had. I got the simple bacon, egg and cheese on a biscuit- expecting a smaller sandwich... nope This thing was massive and did not disappoint! The potatoes on the side were a fantastic treat too. Joe Donut was popping at 9 in the morning and my family and I got there just in time to wait in line and order. At first it was confusing because we wanted to sit down and have breakfast other than donuts, but there was only one line to order. Pretty hectic because it was early but employees were very helpful and everything ran smoothly. Food was delicious, and donuts were also amazing. The best old fashioned and they have specialty donuts too. So happy there is a local place around me now for quality donuts. Excited to try their burgers soon.
